I have another problem that I forgot to mention before. My system clock seems to continually lose time. My time zone is correctly set to eastern, and it is set to use network provided time. After sleeping my tablet, it loses track of time, and to correct this I need to manually set the time to the correct time, then reapply the use network time option.
Right now my time in the asus quick settings says its 5:07 (the time I slept it) the system tray says 7:37 (the time I woke it) and the actual time is 7:44 (lost 7 minutes since woken).
under advanced wifi settings I have it set to turn wifi off when the screen turns off.
This happens while docked, and undocked.
my FW version is 9.4.2.14

I work and live in different time zones, I noticed the atrix doesnt update the time unless I turn off the wireless and then re-enable it. Is this supposed to be normal?
settings -> Date and time
is automatic checked? how often are you on wifi, and how often on mobile data? I'm not sure it gets a constant check when on wifi.

The time is technically correct except for it is an hour less than it should be. It is set to automatic, im on wifi 20% of the day the rest mobile data. If I turn on airplane mode then turn it back off the correct time is displayed. I think they may have a bug
I travel for business quite and go between time-zones. I also find same issue happening with my new Atrix phone. If I turn the airplane mode on and off several times, time correct based on time zone I am in. Automatic date and time setting checked on.

In date and time the 'automatic' settings is checked.
I had to reboot for the time to be automatically updated.

I travel for work and the Atrix has worked fine for me in different time zones. My captivate failed to auto-switch one time though - so i think it has something to do with tower signals more then phone.
I reported this at launch, Im in indiana and live in CST but work in EST. This phone has not correctly changed timezones once, and didnt even update to the correct time for daylight savings time yesterday. The only way i've found to fix is either turn on/ turn off airplane mode or cycle power.
I don't want to be too critical but many Smart Actions I found here or other Razr forums tend to be very restrictive on your use.
Com'on, you bought an expensive fancy phone which uses the fastest 4G LTE network, you paid some premium on those joy. It is never a Verizon LTE Razr if you turn 4G off.
So my bottom line is :
1.I want to be able to surf web/watch youtube/check email on 4G or wifi network when I want to (as opposed to wait for 5 seconds because it was off when screen was off)
And
2. I want to have reasonable battery life.
After some testing, Smart Actions that work on my Razr is
1. At Home: when it detect my wifi, it will switch there.
2. In call: When there is incoming call, turn off Data Connection and Screen turn to 0% brightness. (This is CDMA network, so you can't surf and use data at the same time anyway. Or do you really do a lot of such things? If so, please ignore this)
This #2 will help if you have constant phone conversation of about 30 mins daily. You won't want to burn unnecessary juicy while you are only talking.
3. At work where no wifi is available (for security reasons), I turn it off. I sit in office most of the time of the day, so you won't want wifi keep scanning and eating juice. I used TImeFrame to identify this, not geo location because wifi will need to be turned off.
4. In the night, using the night saver sample, I turned off cell data and background sync.
5. Low battery saver: surprisingly, in this action I only turned it to 0% screen brightness. Why? Just imagine you are using it as GPS or some important task on the road, you dont want to lose the GPS/Data if the battery dropped below a threshhold?
6. Most helpful action:
No Action At Work.
If you are working in office most of the time, your cellphone is quietly sitting on your desk mainly. So if you specify
1. at work
2. movement detection found nothing moving
then disable background sync. it will save the juice and when you turn on the screen to check email, the 4G is always there.
The whole idea , is not to disable data connection whenever you turn off screen. Many times you will have background downloads and sometimes when you turn on the screen, the phone takes some time to restore the data connection. which makes you staring at your phone can wait for a while. quite unfortunate if you have an Iphone user sitting beside you immediately pull the data out, right? =)
Personal settings, hopefully it helps you. It will easily give you 12 hours of usage. and for my charge now: 10 hours later it is at 80%, of course it has 6 hours of night standby.
Let's discuss more TESTED smart actions here? =)
note: if your phone is in your pocket a lot during a working day, don't use motion detection and you know why...
You can use voice and data simultaneously when on 4g. Just fyi.

Yup, it's definitely useful too.
Example: talking to friend on phone about hanging out, go to home screen open Google maps to check when the next bus comes, while still talking to friend

Hi,
I just bought a Sony Tablet S, amazing device. The only problem I'm having is that when the tablet is idle, or the screen shuts down, the WiFi gets disconnected and it doesn't reconnect untill I open the WiFi panel in the settings app.
Now before you guys jump to conclusions, yes, I changed the WiFi disconnect policy to "Never (uses more battery power)". That hasn't helped at all.
Any ideas? Is this just with Sony S or a generic Honeycomb thing? Tablet hasn't been rooted as yet.
Try Advanced Wifi Lock Free. It works well with my tablet.
This issue seems to be a bug in Tablet S. I hope they'll fix it in the ICS release

Though I have heard of this issue before, my new tablet does not have this problem, maybe Sony has fixed the bug.
p.s. I changed the wifi disconnect setting to Never.
I started using wifi advanced lock a couple weeks ago and it works great! Much better than making sure the screen stays on during all your downloading
...Although I've noticed a massive change in battery life. Typically I was always getting 7-8 hours of screen on (gaming) time out of it, with up to an additional 24 hours of time with it on standby.
Now I got about 13 hours standby and 4.5 hours screen on time with wifi constantly on.
All I'm saying is to have a widget for turning on/off wifi quickly, and leave it off when it's not in use. I didn't think that wifi made THAT much of a difference..but apparently it does lol (and that was still without autosync on either)
I uninstalled that and use spare parts instead. Advanced wifi lock was horrid with my battery grrr
I think is normal, because if you put your tablet in standby is because you're not using them so why you need wifi on?
When you turn on again the wifi will reconnect auto again

I had the same issue when connecting at my house, If you have a WPS enabled routter, connect to you access point using WPS. At keeps the signal locked.

2. Force Stop Google Maps from the Downloaded Apps list, not just stop it on the Running list. This stops Maps from restarting itself
3. Set wifi sleep policy to "Never when plugged in". All battery tips say to set wifi sleep policy to "Never". I don't think it's right for tablet. Let wifi sleep when not using it, unless you are downloading movies or tv shows then plug in the power.
The change is I used to recharge every other day, now I recharge every 3-4 days. Hope you get good results with my suggestions too.

thanks for the tip. another one is not to use auto brightness and try to keep brightness around 25% or less.
I actually froze maps with TiBu. I'll use it on my phone if I need it. It seemed to help a ton. Also, I turned ips+ on and turn brightness all the way down instead of leaving ips+ off and turning brightness up a little, I don't know if this actually helped battery or not but it kind of seemed to to me.

I find that not using my prime helps to preserve battery life..... C'mon guys, android is not a day old, and all these tips are more common sense nowadays than acquired knowledge. Meanwhile, I commend OP for trying to help.
OP, point no2, it depends wherever you allowed Google to use location at setup (you can change it in settings), you can shut it down all you like, but as soon as you use an app that needs location service is going to restart.

If your WiFi turns off when your tablet is sleeping, I don't think it is necessary to disable auto syncing of apps, since they won't sync without a data connection anyway.
Also I don't know what force stopping Google Maps is supposed to accomplish. Again if there is no data connection it isn't downloading or sending information it most likely isn't using any CPU.
The most important setting here is to disable WiFi when the tablet is sleeping. That is the only setting I have changed and I also get 3-4 days of battery life with moderate usage between charges.
How I cut down battery drain when I'm not using my TFP:

I don't have the option that says "never when plugged in". Mine says "only when plugged in".
I still get crazy good battery idle when undocked. I wont lose a percent for over 10 hours of standby. when it is docked I lose 1% every 2-3 hours. I've tried every setting but it still occurs

Same here.
Which got me to thinking, and this is only my common sense here.
On standby it's clear why the dock's battery shouldn't be draining, but when in use the dock needs some sort of power to run. The trackpad needs power, the keys themselves need power, when you push capslock it has a light that turns on which also needs power.
It seems that using it's own battery instead of the tablet's for power consumption while in use is the right way to handle this, and that would also make sense for a higher battery drain when not is standby mode as apposed to standby mode.
Just some of my thoughts.

Does anyone have solution and time auto sync problem in omate? When I shutdown the omate and restart it after several hours, its lost the time and need to connect to the Internet to reset time again? Also the problem of auto on/off, it also closed on time but not resart automatically in the setting time?

This topic has been covered already in other threads on XDA, but I will recap for you.
Omate decided not to include a tiny clock backup battery in the TrueSmart maybe due to size issues or cost or both. This means that when the watch is powered off, the clock stops. Yes, this was considered acceptable by Omate for a SmartWatch 2.0, that it cannot keep time while powered down.
When the watch powers up again, the clock will continue from when it was powered off until it is reset by hand or updated via wireless carrier if you have a sim in or until it connects to a Network time server via WiFi or however. It will keep time more or less accurately from then on, until powered off again, at which point it stops like an old electric clock unplugged from the wall socket.
There is no solution to this, as the hardware does not support the equivalent of a regular cheap Casio style real watch.
