No more releases?

It's about one month i cannot see any new "stock" release. LA4 (2.3.6) and LPB (4.0.1) are the last I can find. What is happening at Samsung? Are they working on some new hardware and spending more effort on it? Or do they think this is the best they can do? IMHO there is still a lot of work to do.
Is there someone with fresh news?
UPDATES:
1) Gingerbread will have more updates
2) Icescream Sandwitch first official release will be at the end of March
3) there are rumors about a US official ICS release at 1 of March
2012/02/16
Last ICS released is LPH
2012/02/26
Last gingerbread released is LB2

Jeez if you read the 7 million posts on here you will see that Android 4 is due for release soon . Hardly likely that Samsung will update 2.3.6 though networks may still update as that are always behind .
ICS has not yet been released .

The official release of ics is near and so:
1.there's no need to release 2.3.6 updates!!
2.the next ics leak should be the first official update!!!
Hope this helped

In conclusion the opinion is that gingerbread will have no more upgrades and we must wait till the end of March for the first stable IceScream Sandwitch Sgs2 release.
Personally I hoped Samsung would have been releasing some more Ics beta test releases to give evidence of their immense work and in the same time they would have been bringing that experience on gingerbread, has they did till last releases.
I will copy these Infos on the first post and I will keep it updated for more news.

The fact is that the infos I'm asking for are very interesting and not so easy to find among million of threads. Having a thread whose first post says: next Ics will be released on ... They have convinced me starting this thread. I was daily looking at these threads and in the last month there were no news about the next release. In these threads they talk about the last release, but it is hard to know when next release will come out. I hope you are the last one I must explain that. So: if some admin think these thread is unuseful, I will accept their decision, but if not, pls ppl don't let me waste my time in these explanations ;-)

my opinion about existing ICS roms for SGS2
the last ICS rom for SG2 is XXLPH , easyly to be found in s forum
I tried many roms based on XXLPH and i think that remix 9.4 is the best
I think there will not be major improvment before a new sansung leaked rom
or a ICS MIUI
br46
SGS2 with remix 9.4

[discussion] why developers don't continue their projects

well we all know that XDA forums is a way to communicate with people all around the world and share opinions and problems.
few days ago, this question cross my mind, so i decide to disuss this question with you my friends.
first, thanks for the developers of our ACE for making plenty of amazing roms.
and with all the respect to them, i'd like to ask them(not all of them) ,that why dont you continue your roms to reach the stable level, and make new another rom instead, so roms become uncompleted, and the Forum become overflow.
so please give me your answers , to know your point of view

i will tell you why developers quit their Rom
because when it is on v1 two or three guys walk in and start bad comments and screwing it up for everyone and that kills the development inside the dev just because it was a Rom with a few bugs and not too much features they don't even let the developer make some updates first before judging

That's just half true. These days were over when the thread for ace of spades ROM was closed. But didn't Trent Turvey return with geared android ? The truth is, some people sold their ace, some became busy with life & some discontinue their project because a new ROM with better stability & performance arrived ( For eg., Jellaxy team got off when Wayland_ace brought up cm10.1 ). In any case, some people leave & some new people come. We can just bid them farewell & hope that they return someday. Welcome to the ace forums !

yes but on early builds usually the noobs are more than those good people
beside another reason is galaxy S4
even in the galaxy S3 thread we lost a lot of developers to the S4 devs want better hardware to work with it seems
most also tAke time between updates
like few nonths
so they hav extra time to create some new stuff
and also most cant test new updates or the roms are already pretty stable/ nothing can be improved

Everything has its peak and from there it's a downward slope... Ace is an old device, it launched 2.5yrs ago and very few people use te same device for such a long time so obviously the devs themselves have to move on.
Even my device is 2 yrs n 4 mnths old, am plannin to buy a new one soon, similarly v all will move out. Who would develop, mod, contribute, test and for whom!

I wanted to release so many jelly bean and cm9 roms for ace which would be built exclusively for testers but some noobs thought it was the same work as earlier roms.So I just wanna conclude by saying all cm9 or JB roms would look exactly the same. Bump for MIUI. With them kicking off this contest, it's a great opportunity to name drop the L9 in their forums to possibly get a port done even if its not someone from this community. There will be people looking for devices to port that havent been done. Its cool to see how many new ports they come up with.

I think our phone dont qualify for this contest.
Check their 1st requirement
Requirements
1. Contestants should port MIUI ROM to a device that was released after January 1, 2013, and can use a brand of their choosing.
Ours is 2012 release .
