I noticed it on my international note and now on my att note. If i delete the lazylist folder the phone seems to use more battery. I've learned to leave it alone and it sure seems like it uses less battery.
Anyone have same results?

WTH is the lazylist folder?
What are you talking about?
Seriously!!! Look on your internal storage for the folder. It stores what seems to be something like temp files

It appears to be a cache folder for icons from various apps. Some say it's from Launcher Pro.
There is a lot of info out there if you search lazylist. Like this thread:

By deleting the folder you are making the phone recreate and reindex the files all of the time, of course its going to drain your battery if you delete it.

I just wanted to let everyone know that this excellent security app is offering FREE life time memberships (licenses basically) until February 29th to mark having a hundred thousand users. To get it, just install the apk, create an account, than go here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dFR4VHNka3czd2FJV2FIaXFYTHp0aGc6MQ
The best thing about Cerberus is it's root permissions to do things like force GPS on if it's off, take pictures if people try and access your phone and email the picture to you, and of course send it's location to you along with standard wipe my phone functionality. Definitely worth checking out. You can find it in ROM Manager or on the Market. If you get it from ROM Manager it will install the apk into your system apps so that it survives factory resets and will still provide all of it's functionality.
Oh and I'm sourcing the find to Android Police.

Yep. Really don't know why Samsung has done this. Directory Bind is a good workaround, though.
lol, i thought it would be too!
turns out its this lucky patcher i am using that is telling lies that i ran out of space.
Lucky patcher = always bad news
so don't ever use it anymore?
i noticed my phone is running on edge instead of a 3/4g data network. the only thing i ever did to my phone was root it, i didn't use any roms from here. i was able to put the original back thru odin, and my phone no longer says modified. but my data is still the same and my imei info is still gone.
anybody else experience this? oh and i did do a nandroid backup after i had rooted it. i restored it but it still wouldn't change my data or imei issue. i also checked my counter and it says custom binary (1 counts)...does that mean i am screwed? everything else in that line reads samsung or official tho. and at the very top is odin in red.

Android doesn't have lag. It suffers from low framerate at times, but latency is not the issue.
That said, the only place I ever see low framerate is when I have a huge widget list to scroll through.

Okay, just gave 1.1 a shot. Apps are in fact loading up faster when pressed but that's the only thing I notice so far. Can't have a final say on anything else because it's so hard to tell on a Quad Core device with Jelly Bean. But thanks for letting us know of this.
Haven't tried it myself but....
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/entropy-seed-generator-not-all-its-hacked-up-to-be/
There are valid concerns about lag and how the Android OS handles them, and there is discussion currently ongoing within the Android Code about this, but this fix does not address those issues and instead gives performance gains through boosting CPU speed. The developer himself stated that this could in effect reduce battery life, since the hack is waking the CPU every second.

I grabbed this a few days ago when you mentioned it on CTO (thanks buddy). I notice apps opening noticably faster when it's running. I have it set to "start automatically on boot" but any time I "remove all" from a home button long press, which I do after I've been on my phone for a while, the app stops running and I forget to restart it. I wish it would persist that.

I tried explaining the the thread that Steve Kondik isn't endorsing the app like they think he is. He performed his own tests, with his own compiled code and saw some inexplicable results.
Seeder didn't do anything for him on any device he has.
A moderator deleted it though, conveniently. They of course left behind the part where CM is allegedly endorsing it though.

Damn it this is tedious. Does anyone have a list of the folders that are pulled in a system dump. He uploaded the .zip but it's missing folders and I don't know where to tell him to look for them. They don't seem to have gone to the same location they went when I pulled my /system.
Edit: Never mind. It appears his upload has failed, and he has a sluggish connection right now. He's uploading again and it appears to be going smoothly, but it will probably take over night unfortunately. I'm sorry for the wait.
But, if someone does have a list of folders and files, that might help.

It shouldn't be files or folders. It should be IMGs made from dd'ing the various partitions. Unless you just copied the system partition contents... But that's only one partition of many...
