Hi my stock camera photo light isn't working on se camera,it works on vignette and other light/torch apps,was wondering if theres a script in root explorer to make it work again? Iv also tried reflashing back to stock gb didnt work,anyone else experienced this and know how to fix?

Ive went back to stock and mines is the same.The funny thing is its acting a*rse about face

I close camera
I reopen camera and light is on

your tip fixed my camera i think bud
Good.I hardly use the camera cos the light should work automatically,like the flash in a normal camera.
Ive tried about 7 custom roms and kernels in the last 2 weeks and they all have problems.Ive come to the conclusion that dkv06-1113 with optimized stock rom speeds up system and more importantly-stuff continues working.
App removal
Startup optimizing
Memory optimizing
The only thing I miss would be a slight increase in speaker volume(not full- on xloud which thrashes your speaker).

I see you were getting involved in theme changing stuff-that could have some impact on your camera/system.Im tempted to muck about with that,but I'll wait.
The galaxy rom was my favourite,but I see alzbac has abandoned that and I think hes doing a donut one.
And I think the best utility is the restore option in xrecovery......its well used

Im not sure.I unlocked my bootloader with FT,but in the DK thread he says that way is a "bypass" opposed to the "proper method"(the one with running a zip file beginning with q).It did once relock,but I cant remember if I reflashed or restored for it to happen.
Im new to all this phone stuff,my knowledge is more about sony psp and tomtoms.....

can any 1 confirm if the light bulb on the camera has changed to a flash? when i read reviews on the x10 in april they sadi that the camera would flash when 2.1 came out!

what a shame ........... oh well atleast i got a crap light for when i loose my keys !!!!!
For the record, the camera flash problem is NOT a 2.1 limitation - it's an SE limitation. I am using 2.1. They need to get off their butts and include something basic like this.
The Vignette app can be purchased on the marketplace that will give you a flash, but it replaces the stock camera interface. That is the only solution I have found so far and there is still no free solution.

It works.
Too bad with Vignette you can only take pictures of rocks.
Is too damn slow in starting and saving pictures...
actually.. the flash problem is in 2 parts.. 1. SE made it a pain in the 455 to switch it on..
and 2. it's not a flash.. it's a fairly mediocre LED light. mostly useful for "finding your keys in the dark".!
Is there Any way to remove the led notifications completely from stock 2.2 froyo rooted. Its really annoying and kills my battery. On psx4droid for example every press on the screen lights up leds.... i wanna disable em if possible.

it may be kernel led notify, cant do anything but reflash kernel, are you on bali?
im on stock froyo rom 2.2 but i dont want any custom roms.... I like wifi calling, the stock camera, tethering, and 2.2 unless a rom gets all of those i dont really wanna use any....

Thats not led notifs.. thats just your keys leds .
If you flash certain roms like ics passion, uou can make em not light up or timeout quicker

Its not so much a sourpuss its the features, I love ics. But the calculator doesn't have scientific view, some things are still messed up like random fcs on home screen and gallery, and you can't completely disable the leds. On cm7 the camera sucks I like the stock one so I stayed on stock froyo one downside of being me is I'm very picky lol if I could make my own rom from stock I'd be all set haha

Well its not froyo I like its the small features. If I could keep the stock camera and calculator(need scientific for school) and a few other things(I like Swype) and the notification bar settings, as well as froyos amazing battery life (I get 8 hours of heavy music games and text/call whereas ics I get 6) I would definitely go to cm7 or ics but I'm not that good with flashing and all that junk I just got a huawei ideos about 3 months ago then my vibrant about two months ago and I learned the basics of flashing, stock upgrades kernels etc. Personally I'm 18 in a few days and I'm either getting a galaxy 2 or a Sony vaios with Verizon but idk yet. Love this phone but I play alot of games especially psx4droid so PSP phone is more practical for me, although ill still have this for games and backup

Calc yes cam no I tried to find a nice camera and theres none like the stock camera so I really dont need em although I might just stay with ics for a few days and tweak it to my liking. Maybe after new years ill reflash to ics again

hi ive run a few ics roms now and cameraa says unfortuantly camera has stopped or could not connect..whats up with my camera.. everyones reporting theres is ok
im using bezke 1.3 and the camera works fine. Are you wiping before installing each ROM?

Got it sorted so far .. while it was in repair it seems that they put the wrong camera fw on it after about 6 hrs at it i got tge right match and voila

Im using stock gingerbread
My problem is whenever i use the camera. after i take a picture. it crashes
whenever i use the flash, there will be a violet light on my screen.
however, the fornt camera works fine.

when um about to take a picture the flasher works when it focuses but when i take a picture even in a dark light condition the flasher doesnt work..... then some guy told me to flash these libs http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1818253 and after i did that now it says unfortunately system ui stopped and i cant even open camera please help me ..... my rom is Real ICS R4 Lite
Did you try reflashing your phone? If reflashing is not a big deal, just give it a try

I had a problem where my X10 would randomly freeze then restart almost immediately once in a few hours, I did a full wipe, went to stock GB just to fix it then it seems to be doing it again, but I guess less frequently now, like once a day or two days but it's annoying, boot doesnt take too long but still basiaclly makes phone useless for a while
Has anyone had this issue? I'd appreciate any help

the stock Xperia GB which I used SEUS to install

err so you're saying this ROM is even more stable than stock that it might stop the restarts?
Well the rom is based on stock so its as stable and way faster. And something my have gone wrong with your rom so its worth a try and you could always go back.

Its true that stock based ROMs r faster than the sony stock ROM.. but if it reboots randomly on stock itself, ur phone might be overheating, there might b a hardware prob, or if ur lucky something just went wrong with the installation
