yeah i frequently get in the high 50's. I'd post a screenshot to confirm it but theres several already on this forum from different people getting the same. 30mbps is in the low end of the speeds I'm seeing in orlando.

Damn and I thought I had good speeds.
I have a Galaxy Nexus LTE and did not see these speeds with Verizon
Yeah I've hit the mid - high 50's as well. But, to be fair AT&T's LTE network isn't as congested as Verizon.
Hell I was jumping up and down hitting 2+ down haha
I'll never see LTE in my area
I got 57 last night in the del taco drive through.
What the hell? LTE in Boston sucks

Same speeds in McKinney,TX which is in the North Dallas area. I'll probably keep my International Note now. I'm getting 8-10 with HSP+.
I haven't ran the test since then since I hit 5 gbs of data only 3 days into my plan...
I think i like the ping times the most so far, and Im not even in a lte area.

Hey guys was reading in the radio thread and trying to figure out what radio is giving the best coverage and data at the moment?
Currently I am on 518 which is what the phone came with out of the box. Have seen some say that this is the better of all of them but have also seen people say to actually downgrade...
Let me know what your on and what your experiences have been.
Thanks will be given if you can help me out here!
It would depend on where you're using your phone, no?
I need something I have no reception at work or at home

You need 00001 prl hack.

^where is the tutorial for that hack?

that prl hack wouldn't be a good thing to use..as your data always is roaming via Verizon's towers which can get your account terminated for to much roaming, ill post a tut soon though hopefully once I get home..

You could try out each of these radios and see which one works best for you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193101
The 518 radio works great for me.

Can't complain about those speeds while in a half basement. Luckily I have not had any problems with dropped calls or any thing either.

If I had speeds like that, I'd pee my pants!
I average 400 to 600 kbps at my home in Colorado Springs. I've tried all 3 radios and it seems they are all about the same.

Springs? I'm in pueblo on the south side in a half basement at work. I was only getting like 400kb downloads with my evo 4g. I flashed vipers script with the supra rom and it flies.

I'm constantly getting some unbelievable speed scores in the northern Massachusetts market. Could anyone in my area confirm this?

Of course there are! There's the one near Berklee on Mass Ave, for starters - then another near my house by Wellington Station. Not that i'd ever GO there, mind you ;-)
*unless, of course, you mean we have no actual Market itself...something like Haymarket - then you're right!
I am south of Boston on the shore and my speeds are a lot better.

So I just got myself a new GS3 and everything seems to be working great except my phone goes to Edge where I should be getting 4G. My brothers GS2 is sitting next to mine and he's got full 4G. I'm fully stock and not rooted. Any ideas?

You sure you're not holding it in a death grip? Just playing, how many bars does your brother get in 4G mode? If he's rooted, he probably has a custom modem so that could be the difference. or you're antenna is just crap.
Lol were both stock and not rooted atm. He had I think two bars at 4G and I had full 3 bars on Edge. It's been on 4G since that but if it keeps doing it I'm gonna go and exchange it or it may be a software issue that a OTA will resolve

We're distracted enough out there on the road as it is...last thing we need are a few thousand Android geeks looking at their phones to see if they have LTE. Or worse yet, toggle settings while cruising to get that fleeting glimpse of a not-ready-for-primetime LTE signal.
Let's be careful out there ...

Especially for those of us on motorcycles. I don't know how many close calls I've had where the driver was to busy talking or texting.

Doesn't the Note II need NFC for S-Beam to work? ...Yeah, I'm definitely thinking that was a typo.

Yes, has been discussed to in Q&A. VZW has even acknowledged this is wrong IIRC, yet they are not going to fix it on their webpage.
Gotta love the Verizon web devs and marketing folks making errors of such significance as to leave out NFC support and putting in S-Beam which the average person won't know what it is.
Of course I do like the commercial where the dad is leaving on a trip and as het gets in the taxi the kids use S-Beam to send him a movie and then his wife does the same, but suggests he not watch it on the plane with a smile oh yeah. I guess those iPhone folks can't do that.
