[Q] CSC issue after ROM upgrade

Hi,
I'm new to Android and Galaxy S2. My phone was purchased in Spain from Vodafone.
I have just upgraded my ROM as per Intratech's guide (thanks by the way for the nice gude). The upgrade went good but after upgrae Kies shows the old CSC and says it can't update. Is this expected? I thought the CSC was supposed to change to the generic one.
I used ROM XWKE7 from the guide. After upgrade I get the following:
Doing *#1234#, I get:
PDA: I9100XWKE7
PHONE: I9100XXKE4
CSC: I9100XEUKD1
Doing *#272*<your IMEI>#, I get
ATL
In Kies it shows:
PDA: KE7 / PHONE: KE4 / CSC:KD1(ATL)
- Can someone please clarify?
- I'd also like to know if after this I still have to do something else to unlock the phone to use with a different provider.
- I was hoping to leave the phone as unbranded so future updates will be picked up through Kies.
Thanks in advance for your help.

[Q] where is my galaxy s2 from?

hello. i bought a galaxy s2 export set from a local mobile retail store and am wondering about its country of origin in case i need to claim warranty.
PDA: I9100UHKE2
PHONE: I9100UHKE2
CSC: I9100UUBKD1
the retail storekeeper insists it is a european set however a quick check with this thread seems to suggest its from Chile. And yet there is no "CH" in the CSC.
anyone know how to read the above then?

It looks chilean but then has that CSC I can't identify anywhere on google. Can't find the productcode either. The place I bought it from won't tell me where it came from (so far) I might try bugging them more.

thanks for the reply. I just don't understand why my CSC is none of the chilean ones. My phone is unbranded and under languages has English, espanol, portuguese and some asian looking language. Kies recognizes it and says its running the latest firmware.
Well found out
TDR = DOMINICAN REP.
TTT = Trinidad & Tobago
Not sure how I ended up with chilean unbranded firmware and a Trinidad CSC. 50000 different firmwares is confusing enough having some whacko one that no one else has or talks about makes it even worse, at least the phone works and is awesome as is.
Can I just flash some other countries firmware and csc and make it be like my phone came from there or just flash phone and pda but don't flash csc in odin?

Galaxy S II CSC differencies

Hello
I have unbranded Galaxy S II, with CSC "XEU".
Latest upgrade through Kies I had at September, and now firmware is:
Europe XEU - I9100XWKI4 / I9100XEUKH2 (Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread)
Since than no more updates were available in Kies...
Does anybody know if this will change?
I see Europe firmwares for CSC "OXA", but for this I should probably first use Odin to change firmware.
What is difference between "XEU" and "OXA" in general?

You get updates when you get them is the simple answer .
I see Europe firmwares for CSC "OXA", but for this I should probably first use Odin to change firmware.
YES

XEU = UK
OXA = Poland

They are just region codes.
CSC's just have APN settings and maybe some operator specific apps, any region specific rom will work anywhere in the world.
Hi
Is there general CSC for Europe?
If:
"XEU = UK; OXA = Poland"
Than really there is no new update for UK?
2.3.4 is letest Android?
somehow funny

Przem
Can someone confirm, that unbranded SGSII from UK has latest Androind 2.3.4?
Nothing I'm complaining about, its really stable and working OK.
But little sorrow there were updates for other CSC...
Btw, how to change CSC when multi-csc is not installed (*#727*IMEI# is displaying XEU only, is not accepting OXA)

CSC is not the update path .Product code is .

Flash a CSC from the stock roms and CSC thread .
CSC IS country specific settings a few files that give local networks details and settings and is not even required for a phone to work .

I have the g900h s5 device that I rooted a little while ago. I want to unroot the phone.
when I search for my firmware, I am getting confused by the country codes I see on the files. does the country code matter on the firmware?
when I do the *#1234#, I see:
ap: g900hxxu1ani1
cp: g900hxxu1ani1
csc: g900huub1ani1
on sammobile I search for g900huub1ani1 and I see 3 countries listed.
Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, panama
which one do I choose? does it matter?
any help is greatly appreciated
