prime bricked - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Hi,I've unlocked the bootloader and instaled Virtuous Prime 9.4.2.14 v2 on it using cwm,but I didn't liked it and then I tried to go back for stock USA firmware using cwm again, the stock us firmware was instaled ...I did wipe cache wipe full data and wipe darvic cache and now my prime didn't boot anymore...just apears the initial Asus scream and the top unrecoverable bootloader error (0x000000000004)
Any idea to recovery my prime?Nothin works and can't enter in cwm mode anymore
My prime returned today from the store and Asus changed his motherboard for free, now I have everytihing working again and the bootloader locked again and I will keep this way this time

How did you go back to the Stock US Firmware? Did you use a nandroid backup of your stock, unlocked bootloader, rooted rom?

At least I can turn off my prime...

I would recommend trying the ADB method described in the development forum for the clockwork recovery mod thread. That is of course if you can even gain access to your device.

I don't understand.......
Are you guys screwing around WITHOUT doing a backup!?!?
You should be doing a full backup the MOMENT cwm is installed.
Sorry to beat you up more than you already are but daaaaaaaamn. If you do even the simplest of flashes MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A RECENT NANDROID
Once again i really feel your pain....im sure someone will something out.

Lol, even 1000 backups don't help if your bootloader is broken ;-) which is the case here

So basically how are you suppost to reinstall the stock asus firmware file from the website then if you want to go back to 100% stock (minus being able to relock the bootloader...)????

And, the first bricks have been baked Sorry to hear about this guys, it's gonna make me extra careful when I go tooling around with the bootloader.

I guess a nandroid is the only way, besides someone putting together a flashable zip for the stock firmware (which I could try to do tomorrow if no one beats me to it).

So....
Restoring a rooted stock = good
Flashing a stock ota = bad
This needs a sticky cuz digging thru threads just plain sucks

Nooooo...damn! Your device still bricked or did you figure a way out of it. Damn, feel bad for you n OP. Hopefully you all figure a way out of this jam. Wasn't even really your fault. Bootloader should've let you been able to flash back to stock rom of needed. That's on them. Then with the warranty voided b.s. your situation really sux. Good luck. I had a feeling since first day of unlock tool we would see bricked primes. They are starting to pop up more often now.
Hopefully y'all get device back working right sooner than later. This info needs to be spread on what happened before everyone who unlocks brick their prime trying to go back to stock setup.

downgrading

Nope the only way to downgrade is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1492887
but you need root sorry
http://transformerprimeroot.com/tra...orkmod-recovery-5-8-2-0-on-transformer-prime/
i used the mac method, because none of the drivers on windows worked with fastboot. mac method was about 2minutes.
after installing CWM this way, you can make a nandroid backup. then flash the PrimEval US or WW ROOT of .21 you do not need to wipe if you are still on stock. it is a blob packaged for CWM, will just update everything like an OTA. and voila! rooted stock .21 (*)

If you dont mind a wipe then use one of the many downgrade methods posted and use OTA rootkeeper to preserve root. There are other posts about that.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1919318 this method will work make sure if you have the new asus jb bootloader you use the blob file for twrp. i updated lost root unlocked with unlocker v.6 and followed this and it works

JB Prime

So is it possible too root a jb official updated prime? Ive been looking around and from what I gather you just can not get the nvflash to work which means if you mess up you can brick your prime.... but can we still get root with jb? Is there any roms that would work due to the different boot loader im unsure at this point.... if not is there anything in the works that I can follow to see when they work around it

Dunno about the root, if it's possible (afaik it isn't at this moment). But you can flash roms even without nvflash, you just have to be extra careful. I was flashing roms for about 6 months without nvflash and I had no problems.
When you are on JB, you have JB bootloader and you have to install TWRP for JB bootloader and also install ONLY roms that are made for JB bootloader! It should be written in rom description. Currently there is: Hairybean, NRG, CM10 unofficial and more - look in dev forum.

Unbricked. What now?

Yay, finally unbricked.. stupid Asus cables.. currently got cwm and cm latest stable release.. just wondering what in should do next and in what order. Hearing that people are getting bricked with jb and cwm so I'm thinking I need to get twrp on there, and maybe nvflash,
So what should I do in what order? Trwp or nvflash first? And what's the best most stable job ROM about?
is that IrC channel still about does anyone know in case I run into problems doing all this?
Thanks in advance

You are on ICS at moment.
First do NVFlash and backup all the files it tells you to along the way.
Next install TWRP for ICS. Make sure you get the ICS version installed at this point.
Next go to Hairybean thread and go to post 2 and follow upgrade instructions for ICS. This will get you onto the Jellybean bootloader and Hairybean 1.51.
After that either stay on Hairybean 1.51 or switch to a different Jellybean bootloader rom.

I have a TF201 running on blackbean 7.1 (4.2)
I want to sell it because I hardly us it.
I know I cannot relock the bootloader but is there a way to bring the prime back to stock?
Stock rom and option to have OTA ?
Please help me with clear steps!
Thnx in advance

There is no way to relock the bootloader, and no way to get OTA updates after unlocking.
But you can bring the prime back to stock
Just go to the Asus site and download the latest ROM it is software # 10.4.2.18 then extract the zip file copy and paste the 10.4.2.18 zip file in your internal or external SD card boot into recovery wipe data factory reset then flash the zip file.
It will bring your prime back to stock, but it will still be unlocked.

The 10.4.2.18 blob file you flash from the asus site comes with the stock recovery. The prime will be totally stock after you flash it other than being still unlocked. It will be like it was when you first pulled it out of the box. its exactly like a RUU

@ASAPSEVEN
Are you sure about this? because what I have read is, once you unlocked the prime you shouldn't flash stock ROMs that is taken from ASUS website. Doing so totally bricks your Prime. It has mentioned here.
Or does it mean when we have unlocked and ALSO installed CWM, we shouldn't flash stock blob file?
I use twrp so I Dont know. I flashed Asus blob files and they worked fine for me no problem at all.

But still its very risky. Because stock rom contains recover and bootloader which may corrupt the unlocked bootloader and custom recovery.
So I prefer, custom cooked JB ROM out of stock roms.
I don't think the Prime will get anymore OTAs anyway since it didn't get the last OTA the 700/300 got. And the Asus announcement of android 4.2 update left out the Prime too.
It will be a hard choice. Would like stock instead of a custom one. Simply because it will sell more easy.
Thnx for all the info guys!
Will think it over tonight and take the change.

Rebooted to twrp, wiped everything I could wipe (dalvik, cache, factory default) and started to install
After a small minute it shows me;
