I want to use the samsung email client since well... i like the widget on the desktop. I don't see an option to PUSH in settings. The quickest I see is to check every 5 minutes. Did I not set up the email correctly or what is it?
I had a push option earlier when I first entered my gmail account info but had to delete it because the push was being random. Having readded the account there isnt a push option any longer.
Help?
maybe this can help you..its for the s3 but should be the same..

Holy crap, talk about thread necromancy. OP is from May 2011.
Does anyone have any news on this subject?
Push email was available on the native S2 email client.
I vote for native apps first.
I tried the advice inside the android forum link, it works (gmail with exchange) but is sucks too much data in stand by.

This thread is in the galaxy s2 forum. Looks like you're a galaxy s3 user?
Yes, but since the op complained of a similar problem on the s2, i thought there is a connection.

No visual Voicmail on the Note? Could almost swear I read a review saying it came Installed? Tried to install the APK with no luck =/

Edit:
Thanks to jpitch2415 - he/she found a downloadable .zip file that will install via ESFile Manager. Installing the .apk through the file manager that comes stock on the phone will not work.
This is for the AT&T version of Visual Voicemail and for those that prefer it over Google Voice, etc.
The link to download the file is here & also make sure to install this file with ESFile Manager from the Android Marketplace - the file to install will be located in your tapatalk download folder assuming you downloaded the file directly from your phone.
The post where jpitch found the file / information is located here:

I've been wondering where's the visual voicemail it said it's suppose to have. I'm still irritated that this lags and not as smooth as I thought it would be.
I have visual voicemail...transcription...under at&t messages app. Don't know what I did to set it up, I'm new to AT&T. But my wife left a vmail and it was converted to text and can be played on my note.

I deleted all the AT&T feature apps. I have no need for them. I can deal without the visual voicemail. It was a nice feature when I had a Blackberry, but when I ditch it for an Android phone, didn't care for it.
Well you wondered where it was LOL...

Thought it would be a separate app on it's own.
It does work, you need to get a file manager to extract the zip the my files app doesn't work

Well, I installed the visual VM from here-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1452330
When I open, it says call voicemail, enter pin, then hang up. Visual voicemail then tries to set up and I get a message telling me it is not turned on yet by att- It says please wait- setting up your account-then account verification has not been received yet. contact support to verify that VVM service is activated.
So I called ATT, and she said VVM is turned on, she reset it to on twice, but still, it won't set up thru the visual voice mail app. I haven't tried the ATT messaging to set it up. Just don't like it. Tech support will call in the am. I verified with her that with the LTE data plan VVM is included and she said yes.

Rather than listening to voicemails #1 through #9 to hear #10, you can just see them visually and listen to the ones you want to listen to
Some of the VVM services (like Google Voice) will actually transcribe the voicemail into text, and can email the voicemail to you.
Jpitch. You rock!! Thanks so much. Worked great

It's one of the first apps I set up on a new phone. It's nice that you don't have to use the whole voice package if all you want is visual voicemail.

GV and android noob here. Do you guys set GV to have your cell number forwarded to it? Or do you use the GV number as your main? I'm not exactly sure how it works as I just started to play with it on iOS. Thanks.

You can do either, but I think most people do what I do and use it just for VM. During the setup, it will attempt to change the settings on your phone that it needs automatically. Basically, it just changes the forwarding numbers.
Hi..
Sorry inadvance if this is a simple and direct question but is it possible to sim unlock a galaxy S2? If yes than how. Thanks
Sent from my HTC Nexus One using Tapatalk 2
Lots of threads on here about same (use XDA search or Google search with XDA appended to your search terms) & a number of apps on Google Play which claim to be able to do this (again, search Google Play).
Search
Try typing 'sim unlock i9100' into the search bar.
Oh cool. Will do that. Just that I was using my mobile and keep getting data loss so couldn't find the search. Thanks again

Phone: HTC EVO3D s-off running ICS/Sense to maintain appearance of being stock. At some point in the past few weeks, my voicemail app decided to vanish, possibly during a hard reset or during a drunken rampage in which I decided that all sprint bloat needed to die. Either way, I can't seem to locate a direct replacement in the play store. All I want is something to inform me of when I have new voicemails, even if it is just the standard voicemail.apk that comes with the phone. Can anyone help with this?
Have you tried Youmail? It's pretty good and it's has its own visual mail app or if you have Google voice use set it as your voice mail

I'm using youmail currently, but I'm not a fan of the stock greetings and haven't found a setting (if one exists) to personalize. I get a lot of client calls and would prefer that they hear my voice instead of a computer. Thanks for the recommendation!
I think there is a flashable zip of the Sprint voicemail app somewhere. I'm on my phone so I can't search easily. You could download a ROM with the app and get it from there.
If you have Sprint, you can get into your voicemail by dialing your own number from your cell phone. Other companies might work the same way.

One of these should work
Try one of these, should probably work fine. Not really anything you can mess up anyway.

Hi. Can anyone suggest a good alternative for hangouts/gtalk? I still use it a lot as most of my friends are on android and I've seen a couple of apps from the store that says they support gtalk but i prefer to hear some user experience of anyone used those. Thanks

hi,
i'm using im + pro for my Google and icq contacts.
you can always go with non-paid version, which has no chat history backup and few things removed.
I also use im+ best alternative app IMHO.
