Text message delivery reports question... - HTC Rezound

Is there any way to turn on delivery reports but just have it show a check mark in the actual thread rather than showing in the status bar and playing an alert when its delivered?

Go into the messaging app, go to Settings > Text Message (SMS) > Delivery Reports
Should be what your looking for
As far as not having it in the Notification Bar, don't think theres away around that, at least that i know of

[Q] Message Content in notification bar

Before any one chews my head off, I have searched the site and Google and a can’t find an answer
I am trying to see if there is way to stop my IM messages (Whatsapp, skype, google talk) from displaying the message content in the notification bar.
When I receive sensitive information I don’t want any part of the message to be displayed in the notification bar. I only want to notified that I have a new message
I have tried turning off the notifications on the notification bar but then I never know when I have a new message.
Handcent does this brilliantly with text message but I can’t seem to find a way to turn it off for Instant messages
Can anyone help?
Guess there isn't an app for everything
If there isn't a setting in the individual app then I am not sure its possible...at least in a simple way.
Contact the app developers.....for SMS I know handcent has the option to turn off the text in the notification bar.
Yes, there aren't any settings in the individual apps. Damn, So no solution then
anyway, thanks for taking the time to reply.

[Q] Scrolling sms message in notification area

Anyone know how to disable the text message scrolling in the notification bar when you receive an SMS?
I still want to receive the notification, but not the message body scroll through.
I'm VERY sure there was a way to disable this in previous firmware, but buggered if I can find this on KF3.
Anyone?
Go into messaging>menu>settings>notification settings>notifications then uncheck the box.
But then I don't get the notification envelope - which I still want.
I just don't want the message scrolling through the notification bar.
I also would like to know that. And the same problem when I get a very long gtalk message.
I want the notification but I do not want it to show the entire message.
My bad, sorry didn't read the post correctly, afraid I don't know.

[Q] sms delivery report popups

I get delivery reports for my sms by prefixing *0# and they arrive as a normal txt. With sms popup I effectively get delivery report popups in the middle of the screen. Is it possible to get popups like this for delivery reports that come using the standard protocol?
UPDATE: I've figured out that I can achieve this using two apps. Firstly get an sms replacement app that can put delivery report notifications in the status bar. I'm using Handcent (Pansi has this option but it didn't work for me). Then get an app which can intercept status bar notifications using the android accessibility feature e.g. "popup notifier". Set it to intercept the sms application's notifications and voila - delivery report popups!

[Q] Seperate notification tones for email and text messages...

....Can this be done because at the moment I'm getting the same notification for incoming emails and for text messages and it's really starting to do my head in constantly checking my phone to see if someone has text me, only to find a pointless email instead.
Please help as it's driving me mad.
Both your email and text messages are using the default notification tone.
If you want to change one, go into the app, press settings and navigate to notification settings. Both text message and email notifications can be configured.
Also for future - jump into the settings (within the app) to find out if you can change the notification sounds; i'm pretty sure most apps will allow you to configure it.
I too had the same issue and sorted it out few min back. Open messaging/mail/gmail. hit options and settings. Under Notifications, select the ringtone of your choice. Done!!

Notification bug

I recently noticed that when I get a message from someone, the notification instead of displaying the correct "X messages from X chats" shows the wrong number.
For example, lets say I get 3 messages from 3 different chats, I see the 3 notifications in the notification area, but when I open the app I see the real "unread number " in the main tab, which is higher that those 3 new chats.
It's like a counting bug, not sure what happened.
