I found this game that's a pretty good time waster for when you want to play something here and there for a few minutes. It's called Shogun, a game similar to AirAttack HD but with better controls and there's a little more to it.
It's got some pretty crisp visuals, even on a tablet.
Would have took more screenshots but when you lift your finger it pauses, which is what's pretty neat about how it works to change weapons.

Fun game. Good recommendation!
PS. After i played the lite version i had to buy the full version. Thanks a lot.

same here, lite version is kind of short. I love that they compare your highscores to other people in your city. #1 in Tampa right now

Just gotta say, if you're looking for an addictively fun shooting game that's very similar to Geometry Wars, look no further than PewPew (free) or PewPew2 ($3 I think).
Online leaderboards and downloadable replays of the high scores. And catchy music!
I played the original for a bit and needed to get the sequel which even has a campaign mode.
I'm currently running PP2 on CM7.0 but I did run the original game on rooted stock Eclair.
Does anybody else out there love this game?
I downloaded this one off the Amazon market while it was a free app of the day. I really like it. It runs incredibly smooth. The music is great. I just still have to figure out the goal of campaign. But it is good game though.

I love it as well! Got it free from Amazon, maybe I'm terrible, but I can't even beat the easy boss
That first boss drove me nuts for days! I finally realized that he only shoots you when your bullets hit his shield. Fly around and take time to set up your shot. Then if you miss and hit his shield just wait out the barage(don't shoot back). Rinse. Repeat.
Riptide GP has really jaw dropping graphics, and feels like an Xbox Live arcade game! I'm really impressed with the overall quality, and the game is pretty fun too! By far the best graphics on Android game so far.

How is the gameplay and replay value? It sure looks awesome, but $8 is a lot more than most games. Still, I'm definitely tempted.

Gameplay is great, and with 3 difficulty levels and openfeint achievements there's a good amount of replay value. Super fun, glad I bought it.
yes this game is amazing
jeez thats a lot of money for a phone game, v tempting, thanks for link
Wow I got it, absolutely worth it. It's fun, looks amazing, and has good sound/music too. Plus buying it sends a message to developers that we want quality games and will pay, so do it!

I like Pinball HD for Tegra. It's half the price and pretty awesome graphics and gameplay.
Glad you guys are enjoying!
I have Pinball HD and it's pretty awesome too. But Riptide looks like it was ripped off from PSN or Xbox Live, and it has better graphics than many games sold on those services for $10-15.
$8 is really a bargain considering the overall quality of the game - technically the best graphics on the Android platform so far with great gameplay.
My First Trainz Set has amazing graphics. Not good game play though. I'm waiting for that train simulator to come out, that'l be really nice looking.
Waiting for GoF2.

ACtually, I agree. I downloaded it and it's truly amazing. Pinball is also great ,but the speed of the graphics in Riptide is what blows me away.
Amazing game !!!
Thanks .

Yeah sweet game. Although after a while I start to find it annoying to have to rotate the phone to turn.

Pretty much too much turn required or I just suck at the game. Need for speed shift (part of the telstra sbf) works well for steering, almost too easy.
Cheers!
The graphics were so good it was quite shocking. Finally a reason to get a Tegra 2 phone.
Thread cleanup. Back on topic please, Thanks
It takes some getting used to with the turning the phone to turn. Not sure how I feel about that type of gameplay. Although despite that I enjoyed the game and it looked beautiful. Thank you for showing us this find
has anyone try Contract Killer from Glu Game ????? i get so addicted to this game. graphic is stunning and the story line is interesting too. you can train to level up, buy more advanced guns to kill faster great game. find it at market.
sweet i think i might have to buy it!
Another great game for Tegra 2 is Samurai Vengeance. Great story line, AMAZING graphics and HOURS of gameplay!
Thanks for the post about this new game...gunna go try it. =)
I saw this game featured in the nVidia Tegrazone application and thought it looked promising. Now I see its finally out and getting trashed in its market reviews. Anyone here give it a shot yet?
Also if anyone has some game recommends I'd appreciate it. I'm a long time PC gamer and I've found the contemporary "casual gaming" trend abhorrent compared to the quality and depth I'm used to. While still fairly poor at least the iPhone had some legit games. Anything worth playing on my Atrix?

RipTide is a very good game. Fun factor is great and graphics are amazing and smooth. Galaxy on Fire 2 is expensive after the initial free part but its very fun. The game offers 6-9 hours of gameplay and building up your ship gets addictive. Check out gamelofts website, its got some good games that you woudl be used to from your iphone.
All the games I've found myself playing have been along the lines of GTA3, Shadowgun, and Sentinel 3: Homeworld--none of which lend themselves very well to a quick, casual game.
Some good ones for me are:
Wreckless racing
Wreckless geaway
Stickman golf
Frontline commando
Overkill
Touch racing
Spirit hd

I've been enjoying Osmos, as a relaxing and quick immersion/diversion.
Zen pinball is good for a quickie
I usually play any of the Angry Birds games if I have a few minutes to kill.
If I find I have longer then its Words with Friends.
Depends on what interests me at the time. Past games include muffin knight, angry birds, and fruit ninja.

My fav is Shoot the Apple. There's hundreds of levels and each one usually takes only 30 seconds or so.
I prefer Stupid Zombies..
Has to be Jelly Defense! I got it back when it was a 10 cent app for my Nook Color, plays sooo much better on the Prime.

i've been having tons of fun with CSPortable its still in development but still fun to kill time with xD
of course you need internet with it to be able to play online
ArkaBall or Switch (or my own Memory Owl HD - but I'm bored to death by it because I have to test it a lot).
Recently purchased the new humble bundle for android. Containes EDGE, Osmose HD, World of Goo and Anomaly Warzone Earth. You choose how much you want to pay for all 4 games. EDGE and Osmose are great games to play for 10 mins at a time.
I find Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots awesome in short bursts in "Bandito" mode. It was created exactly for short 10 minute bursts and the voice overs are hilarious. Looks and runs great on the Prime too.
Plants vs Zombies is great also. You can do a level in about 10 minutes and it keeps you active the entire time. If you can't finish the level for some reason, it autosaves and picks up right where you left off when you come back.
Minisquadron, not only fun but beautiful colors to show off the screen.
Super Bit Dash all the way! It is suuuch a fun game.

Usually I get interested in a game for a little while then just stop playing it. But I've been playing Road Warrior constantly! Really simple and fun.

grab the humble bundle 3 at the average price. world of goo comes with the basic price of pay anything over a dollar and get it and 3 other games but if you pay the average it gives you a bunch more like bit trip runner and field runners.
If I wanted to relax before going to sleep with a game it would definitely be Osmos! I even use it for that purpose myself. But be sure to use headset for the best experience and effect!
Even better: Quell Reflect . Awesome game with a beautiful soundtrack.

Rope n fly3 is cool. Looks good on the tablet. Also, running over pedestrians in gta3, listening to opera, and using a sixaxis is very nice

Pool Master Pro, a relatively realistic Billard/Pool game. Some balls randomly rolling arround can be relaxing, too...
i am a fan of Osmos HD...very solid game and a super relaxing sound track
also Auralux is good...but honestly i havent heard the soundtrack to it so i dont know if it is any good....but its a pretty slow paced game that is nice to look at.
