Hi folks,
I just came across this entry on Developer.sonymobile.com: http://developer.sonymobile.com/wp/...cked-2011-xperia-smartphone-models/#more-5513
Basically, it says that an ICS beta is available right now I guess some binary blobs from inside the downloadable roms will make it into custom roms soon...

Hi..
Here I have just found the Sony developer site. There seems to be a new version coming.
On top of the list.

Hi,
We all know there's an update coming -- supposedly bringing basic multitouch.
The file you found is just the latest build (since 2.1.A.0.390).
no rly new version: x10_x10mini_X10minipro_x8_eclair_2.1.A.0.435.tar
not .390

With it being such a minor revision, I think it's just a patch to the v 024 root exploit. Remember, SE is committed to giving us the best 2.1 available!
not dev related (more fyi), therefore moved to general

I'd rather have an ok 2.2/2.3 than an excellent 2.1 lmao 2.2 just adds sooo many new features...you don't really notice what you're missing until you use 2.2
when a ROM is released in RC ..like the cm7 new version t's an RC1 . . what does that mean???
new features included)
rc means release canditate, and as is mentioned above, about cyanogenmod it comes with some bugfixes and new features. See this for a better comprehension http://www.cyanogenmod.com/blog/cyanogenmod-7-2-0-rc1-is-upon-us
So now that JB is official from ASUS will the lead to a more stable version of CM10? I'm still sitting on CM9 due to the HDMI audio issues but I'm thinking of going to CM10 if its built off this official ASUS JB version. Any ideas?
CM10 is different from branded firmwares. They can eventually grab the kernel drivers that will be released by Asus as soon as update process is finished, and also all hardware specific sources that are not present in AOSP tree. For the core system, CM10 already uses Jelly Bean sources from Google.
Wait for a bit... once we get the kernel source (Asus has yet to release it), it will soon be merged into CM10 along with the new JB proprietary files and drivers...

Will you post in the Dev section when this occurs?
I'm sorry to post this on general forum, because I don't have permission to write on dev forum.
I think is pretty old, because there is new android version 4.2.1, but anyway
as you know, you cannot use ICS libril.so with JB, because of network searching problem.
Well known solution is compiling new libril.so with JB source code.
But if you really want to use ICS ril, because of ril specific function that is implemented on ril by device vendor, you will face big challenge.
So I made mod for JB (4.1.2).
I just compared ril.cpp file with two version (JB and ICS), and add new features from JB ril.cpp to ICS RIL.java.
So, unsupported requests will proceed by RIL.java not libril.so.
this is works for me.
mine is HTC's 4.0.3 ICS libril.so, ril version 6.
I'm not sure this will works for all of your libril.so, I hope this is helpful.
GIthub link is here. (sorry, I dont have link permssion.)

Happy new year!
Obviously this does something to the touch panel but I can't find specifics anywhere. What does the TP update include/fix? Any reason to stick with old TP??
Until source is released aosp are incompatible with the new driver, all stock based roms with 3.16 kernel should be fine
