I tested it...the answer is yes...and no...it works, but if you press minimize button(middle button), it will give error(force close the stock launcher)....

Would it be possible to only get the Launcher without the extra apps?

Hi!
I am trying to put everything I like on a stock 2.1.1.A.0.6 rom.
I done some usual tweaks in Stock rom:
- Rooted
- xRecovery
- JIT
- dualtouch
- undervolted
- hacked market
- removed junk apk
- added my own favorite apk
The only thing I see in other custom ROMs that I would like to have but i dont find, is that Reboot Menu, on Power Menu.
How can that be done?
I searched and found it used in many roms, but I did not found out how to do it.

Yes, I use the black htc theme with my mini pro and it has the reboot option.
I did not find the 2.1.a.0.6 default theme with reboot menu.
I could do it myself. I just need to be pointed in the right way

Thanks! I've been looking for a thread like that! You could go about learning this by comparing the stock ROM framework_res.apk with the custom ROM's. I've been using apk_manager [link] for a while now, and it's actually quite easy to use. Learned a lot in the process also.

While no one has sent you that, I just remembered, there are a couple of widgets that can do this like SwitchPro Widget (I remember using this on the stock ROM to reboot).

I have SwitchPro installed but It does not have hability to reboot to xrecovery
Oops. My bad. Thought you just wanted reboot and not reboot to xrec.
I might just add that I personally wouldn't really enjoy using a workaround.
What I mean by this is that it would be amazing if the menu opened by the power button would have more options like on custom ROMs, such as
Power Off
Reboot
Reboot to xRecovery
Anyone could do this please. Who usually makes themes to custon roms?

hello i am having some problems with simply honey..
1.[Solved] everytime i try to use swype it force closes
2.the launcher it came with (gingerbread launcher) fc everytime you open it
3.[SOLVED]recovery is still not usable
4. the ocean waves background fc's
5.[solved]sometimes the power button dosent work
If you haven't done so already, reboot into recovery and fix permissions. This always fix many fc, do you still need help with Swype?

Edit...I'm reposting what I advised others about Swype.
Try this,
1. Uninstall swype, swype installer, or any left over cache
2. Search for any swype files or lib and delete them
3. Reboot
4. Install the apk attached
5. Log in, choose swype english, install, follow the directions on there until it's finished. Otherwise it won't license it if you don't follow all the directions from the app

Download Rom manager from the market, it's free, open it and flash the recovery for your phone, then at the bottom, choose fix permissions. Reboot your phone.
Let me know if this doesn't work.
You should reinstall it.

Just Factory Reset. It always worked for me.

Pixelization problem in andy's rom
I can't post in the dev section but reading the comments and seeing the screenshots, I just wonder if the pixelization is related to a compression algorithm
that is implemented in the rom.

Your question has nothing to do with this rom... flash CWM via zip...read the stickies in the dev section to find it.

Despite what Andy says that's not actually true. Simply disable "signiture verify" in AmonRa and it'll work just fine. AmonRa supports both Amend and Edify scripting, I honestly don't know why he posted that.

Haven't got time to tinker with phone here, Andy released on 2AM and then I have to go to work lol. Has anyone confirmed the USB detecting without LG driver feature? That's my most anticipated feature.
Also, nice to know I don't need the extra step to change recovery first. I know AmonRa is old, but it hasn't given me problems so changing isn't high on my list
Interesting that people in the dev thread says it works with both old and new basebands.
So I flashed the new rom, it looks amazing but the only problem I came across was no mobile data, I even flashed the gapps but still no mobile data. Anyone have the same problem.

You need to add your apn manually and after flash Franco later kernel, wifi working very well.

Hi Guys,
There are some issues which i am facing on my Xperia X10i after installing the Feralab V6.0 ROM. I am having a locked bootloader.
The list of issues which i am facing post installation are:
1) Message Application is getting FC everytime i try to open it.
2) Wi-Fi is not working. In the settings Tab, it is showing as error and is not getting enabled. (Please let me know its resolution ASAP).
3) While Using My Backup Pro, when I am restoring my Messages, it is giving me an error (SMS Failed : attempt to write a read only database).
4) When opening the Camera App, its giving me an error (The Application Messaging (Process.com.sonyericsson.conversations) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again). When i Click on Ok, the Camera is working Properly....What should I do.. ??
I would really appreciate, if i get the replies ASAP...Thanks in Advance..!!!!!

I tried using the Fix Permissions, and the messaging FC problem is now resolved...
I am using the Kernel 2.6.29-modFXP-DoomKernel-v04b [email protected] with a locked bootloader..Do i need to do anything specific to enable Wi-Fi..?
Also Can u give me the link to the latest stable Feralab ROM.??
I've used all Feravolt's roms and I'm on the latest 10.3. It's awesome imo. One fc and that is to do with music eq. I think it's my setup. Go onto the development thread and look up Fera's rom there, follow the instructions and you're done. Although he's about to release v11 soon, so it might pay wait for it to come.
Oh and you might want to check for the latest kernel, it's there in his op as well.
There is also a problem with some people not being able to add a recipient when composing a text message,thus it wont get sent......

Hi,Im on v10.3.I have checked both threads and theres no answer,although Fera says he is working on it.
Maybe it will be fixed in v11,but if its not,I will unfortunately have to remove this rom.
Edit:I can send messages by using go sms pro instead......

If you go to the general section, into Fera's discussion thread, you will be able to get 10.3. It's on page 186 post #1855 from Yeeyon1990.
I don't have these problems with 10.3 and btw you should be posting there with questions to do with Fera's roms, great place to get specific help to do with the rom.

Its a super clean installation zip. So no errors. Backup your apps, call log, contacts. Use tb/ub/mb to backup apps. Backing up sms/contact via mb never works.
After flashing 10.3 don't flash ics.... You will get fc. I've is not fully updated upto 10.3

There is a fix for that problem IF u read the thread! u just take the conversation.apk from an older version like v9 and paste it in system/app using root explorer (thats what i used) and set the permission to

I dont think there is a solution for that in this point, what u can do instead if u want the look of ics is to download go launcher and the ics theme from market just a suggestion

Clean install
anyone who is getting FC or WLOD just do following steps
1. backup ur memory card data which is most important to ur computer
2. format SD card
3. put files for Flash in sd card (ROM, Newfix, Kernel for locked bl)
4. boot into xrecovery and Flash the ROM than reboot
5. follow setup guide after installation, dont install anything play with it for good 5 minutes. (Open message application first and then open camera application, don't send any message or take pictures)
6. reboot into xrecovery and flash new fix zip given by fera... fix permission
7. reboot ur phone and follow the script manager command described in the OP of fera
8. wait for 2 minutes after that (still don't install anything)
9. reboot ur phone
10. wait for 2 minutes after starting the phone and now u can do everything
