Looks cool!! I may have to buy one of these!
Question for all you armor folks out there....how do most cases where the phone "snaps" into place work when using a full body shield like these? Does it stay on the phone well? Does it fit the case after you install it...or using a case that the phone snaps in destroy the armor?
TIA
I go with these or nothing...cases get stuff inbetween that end up scratching your junk anyways plus they bulk it up a bit
Plus a good case will be snug enough that it most likely wouldn't like the couple mils added by the skins

FYI - I've had experience with both white (EVO 4G, iPad 2) and black (Infuse, Iconia A100) CF vinyl wraps on my devices. The texture on the white makes it really hard to keep clean. Also, I'm assuming you're putting this on a white note in which case the dirt trapped on the edges of the wrap will show quickly. I briefly thought about a white wrap for my note...but I'm leaning more towards a thin case instead.
YMMV, just my .02.
Good point, it's on it's way might just have to get a clear one, or the red one is 40% off, damn they should hook a brotha up for plugin their stuff lol

The case probably wouldn't fit as well. also, i wouldn't use the side protection if your using a case, only the back. the sides come off very easily.
I can't seem to order. I'm in the cart and hit checkout, and the darn cart acts like I hit refresh and just redraws my cart.
Anyway, I found a 10% coupon code: guard
Update: I switched to Internet Explorer, and I was able to buy. I guess they don't like Google Chrome.
If you are a repeat customer you get 20% off your purchases. I just bought the full body kit along with the anti glare screen protector.
I put it on my AT&T Note today. (I got the black Carbon Fiber)
The battery cover was easy to put on, but the sides were a little tricky.
I had to cut the strip that goes along the side where the power button is. I just could not make it fit. Assuming I was doing it right, it would have covered part of the stylus hole, so I just snipped around that area, and it was fine. That was the only side that gave me any trouble.
Hi guy,
want to check with you,
have anyone tried the UltraTough Clear Skins Full Body for galaxy note? How was it?
Thinking of getting one, any discount coupon above 10% available for me to use?
Thanks
The case I just got yesterday, spigen spg ultra thin is very very thin. Coming from a speck is a HUGE difference. I only problem with these vinyl wraps is its hard to clean Although I might be actually checking that yoobao cases..
I just bought a at & t speck black case a few days ago and already its all scratch up don't not buy this

Mine is giving great protection but the case tore where there's the least rubber-near the stylus opening.

You just need a case to protect your case....I buy a case for protection not to look good. Imagine if all them scratches were on your phone. Your case did it's job.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
^ agreed. Case did it's job, but it's always the glossy plastic ones that have the noticeable scratches. That's why I always get matte black cases...
That case is notorious for scratching. But like everyone else has said, better the case than your phone.
My only issue with this case is that it tends to want to lift the edges of my zagg screen protector.

+1 same problem and I'm having the scratching problem as well as everyone else. Also the rubber around the edges gets all worn...good case but I don't think its worth 40 bucks.

A cheap mod you can do to your speck is to sand it down. Will give you a even unfinished black look.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Just got the same one for $16. So far pretty happy with it. Not a huge fan of the gloss finish or the rounded edges, but a squared off look would probably be too bulky. Big fan of the casemate I had on the s2. Maybe they'll come out with something soon. I'd prefer white as well.

People bought the Speck cases from AT&T because its the only case they had out at that time. The case is trash. Rips easily. But I heard that if you got it at a corporate at&t store...they will replace it if it has rips or certain damages. Thats what the sales rep told me the first day it was launched. Anyways I ended up not getting it due to it being really glossy.
-Once you go NOTE, you'd say 4 inches a Joke
already had mine replaced once. 2 weeks later and I have another rip. Wonder if I can get my money back.
I wasn't a fan of the case either. I get a discount on the accessories so it didn't hit my wallet as bad as most but to me, it offers better protection than the active seidio case I bought. I need to have a holster for my phone so being the speck fit in the active holster I'm using that. I was looking at some of the TPU cases but I'm hoping for the surface case to be made for the Note. My Zagg protector hasn't had an issue but I don't ever take the case off.
candy shell COMPATIBLE with SEIDIO HOLSTER?!

Came home with my new white Galaxy Note just 5 days ago - along with the only available case - whilte speck candy shell. As a female who hates to carry a handbag while running errands, I have been looking for a reliable, not-too-bulky & safe holster to remain hands-free. To clarify: your Speck candy shell will fit comfortably into the Seidio holster?? You may have solved my problem....!!!!

Yes, the Speck case fits the active holster PERFECTLY. I had an issue with the soft rubber on Seidio Active case peeling back when I snapped it into the holster so I put the Speck back on and it fits just as good if not better then the Seidio case.
Didn't have any problems with the speck. No tearing or anything other than normal wear. Protects better than the stupid trident case I bought. The trident corners want to slip off, and I barely trust it. It's survived drops though.
Any case is better than none.

The Speck case scratches extremely easily, but I haven't noticed any problem with durability, and I think it gives great protection. It's definitely not worth the full list price, though.

Many thanks for your response; the white does not appear to be available yet; will order when it is.
After finally deciding on the reiko case as a cheap option and a good case for me to take to the gym, I found out it doesn't really fit with my glas.t. I mean it technically does, but it appears to have messed up the adhesion around the edges. I would not recommend using both. Very disappointing since it's such a nice case especially for the price.
Anyone want to swap cases? I figure a slip on gel case or something would be good for not messing up my SP and for good protection against accidental dumbell hits or something. I got the all black version of the reiko case.. brand new, only put on to test fit. i'm not looking to add any cash for an expensive case. Just something cheap.. even trade, etc.

I am will to trade a mercury case black or white. Do u have a pic of your case?

Yeah i'll get pics a bit later. How tight does the mercury case fit, specifically around the front? All I really care about is not putting stress on the edges of my screen protector and ruining it.

Its perfect fit. It lines up around the glass does not really go over it. Look in the forum and see if anyone else is using it with the glass.
Sent from the TermiNOTEr! ;-)
How much movement is in the case once on? I've got two offers on that mercury case and I'm kind of hesitant since the edge of the glass is basically right where my SP is and i'm worried any movement will be a perfect opportunity for the case to peel up my glas.t
There is not much movement it is the hardest tpu case I have owned. Did u check other threads? Is anyone using the mercury case with that glass?

How far does your screen protector go? The Mercury Case only holds onto the plastic bezel around the edge, not the screen.

On the one side of my screen it more or less lines up exactly with the glass. What do you think?
The speck world with the glas.t, but if you don't keep your phone in some protective pouch the case will look like garbage, really killing the looks. But it works well with the glass

This will def not interfere with anything on your glass. It only goes as high as the "chrome" accent it snaps/clips to.
One caveat is the plastic bezel surrounding the screen will end up exposed and vulnerable.
But if you like your phone "naked",I got the clear white, it really looks as if nothing is on.
Was just curious to know, is anyone out there rocking their Note 2 in its birthday suit? If so, any scratches yet? I myself have had a screen protector on since day 1 of owning mine whereas my friends that also have it are all naked. Just curious to know if anyone has any serious scratches of their own.

Naked.
I keep mine from things that have a high mohs rating and I stay scratch free.
Naked white with no problems. I think it's the best way to experience the phone.

I agree 100%
Another area of concern was the use of the S Pen on the screen. If that would over the course of its life span leave any surface scratches as well.

I have had a screen protector from day one but I went weeks without a case. Just put the Samsung protective cover on and it is surprisingly thin and light.

I had mine naked for a few months and did see a few tiny scratches appear so covered up. First with a Copter screen protector which sucked!! It made the screen look like ****e. Small text was impossible to read and the S-Pen marked it. I later opted for a very cheap harder plastic no-name protector which is excellent. I have plans to buy a 10 pack and change every other month or so.
The way I see it you preserve the second-hand value if the screen is scratch free. If in two years time you want to sell it for a good price you just need to invest in a new flip-cover remove the screen protector and it's almost like new.
100% all natural. No screen protector. No case. I like the feel and look without bulky protection. I allow the Gorilla Glass 2 to do its thing.
Afterall, its a phone; its going to get used, scratched and dinged. I want to enjoy the complete phone experience in the meanwhile.
Have you seen those cars that had the bra on the front? People removed them only to find out that their paint was now two-toned, and dirt and debris had etched the paint along the edge of the bra, not to mention having a red sports car with a black mask on.
I was naked on every smart phone I've had up until the Note 2. I've always gotten scratches on every other phone no matter how careful I was.
I also have a small hard case on it. I would love to run naked on that too but the smooth back is just begging to slip out of my hand. Plus the case makes it feel more solid and reduces the creeks and growns coming from the crappy plastic Samsung insists on using.

I would be concerned if a plastic pen scratched glass.
In other words, it won't.
The glass with the oleophobic coating is at least 9 mohs.
Without the coating, its still 6.5-ish.
Plastic is around 3 or 4.
No screen protector here, I adsolutely hate screen protectors. I think they ruin the clarity of the screen. But I do have one of those folio style cases so the screen still gets covered when its not in use.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
I've been using the Seidio active case and like it, no screen protector. Just ordered a flygrip and will probably rock it naked with that.
Like others have said I won't use a screen protector as I trust the screen plus hate the feel and affect on clarity.
I'm using a cheap tpu case partly for peace of mind of a little protection and partly because it has a built in kickstand that isn't very intrusive and has been pretty handy to have.
I have mine naked, but the first few days of owning it the phone fell upside down on the wooden floor so now I have 2-3 large scratches on the screen from grains of sand
Same set up I run on every phone I've owned:
Verizon slim hard kickstand case, no belt clip
Cheap eBay matte screen protector
I keep my phone in my pocket so I need a slim case. Every since the T-Bolt, a kickstand is a must for me. I absolutely hate clear screen protectors since it always feels like I'm dragging my finger across the screen rather than sliding it. I ended up buying the $12 pack at Big Red since my phone arrived before my China protectors. The cheap matte ones look great, don't smudge, and make the screen silky smooth.

Screen protector I got from Verizon and an all white Androidified case from Cruzerlite. My hands are a little dry so carrying the phone naked (the phone) is slippery in my hands. The case gives me a nice grip to hold on to the phone.

Oops, sorry for the sideways photo.
My typical progression is: get a new phone. Think "I need to protect this thing" and get a case. Rock case for a week or 2 and then hate the extra bulk. Take off case and love the natural feel of the phone.
I followed suit with this phone. Had the flip case ordered before the phone was out. Got the phone and immediately popped the case on. Rocked it for 2 weeks and took it off.
However, I have actually put the case back on because I found usefulness besides the protection. With the phone's size, the case flap provides more area to maneuver it. It also prevents accidental home button presses when the phone is in my pocket.

Ok, I am kinda peeved right now. I bought a Diztronic TPU case shortly after purchasing my Note 2. The thing is just so slippery it screamed for grippy rubbery case. Fast forward a couple months and here I am taking my case off to clean out any dust inside it, only to find tiny pock marks all over the back of my phone. I swear it looks like a few grains of sand or something got in there, but I can feel nothing. I can only conclude even fine dust particles can scratch the back if caught between the battery door and the TPU case. Pretty disappointed my case has done more damage than keeping my phone nekkid ever would have. I baby my gear and this thing now looks like &#!$ on the back.
Anyone else experience this? Any better kind of case I should use when I order my replacement back? Or do I just need to be better about cleaning out the case more than once every couple months?
Thanks...

I have had this issue too. I bought a cheap TPU case off of Amazon while I was waiting for my phone to come from VZW and put it on after I had pkayed with the phone for a day. When it went in the case it was perfect, a week after being in it the battery door has deep scratches, the chrome bezel around the camera is scratched badly and the chrome bezel around the screen is DENTED IN! The case actually covered the bezel around the screen so it wasn't something in my pocket that did it, it was something that magically got in and out of the case. And lemme tell you those scratches and dents are especially noticeable on the Titanium Note 2...
After that I ordered 2 CruzeLite TPU cases, or whatever they call their cases, and thise worked much much better, my phone got no more scratches and was pretty welly protected. I still wanted something a little better though because I was still scared that if I dropped it that it would get badly damaged so when the Urban Armor Gear case was finally released I bought it and couldnt be more happy.
The sides are a way thicker TPU rubbery type material and the back is hard plastic. It gives the phone a more sturdy feel, like you could drop it and barely worry about it getting damaged. The few times I have dropped it didnt hurt the phone or the case, it is a very welly built case and doesnt add much more bulk than the CruzerLite TPU cases did. I would definitely reccomend you try one if you like the way it looks, the black and orange look really snazzy in my opinion, but I have a thing for orange soo....

I'm anal about my gadgets too. But when you put the case back on, you won't see the pock marks. If it still bugs you, just replace the plastic battery cover. That is why I prefer plastic instead of an all-metal body. If the battery cover gets messed up, you can always get another one. You can't fix damage on an all-metal phone like the HTC One. Yes it's a beautiful device, but once it gets the first scratch or ding, it will never be the same. Just like the first door ding on a new car

I've had this issue with previous cases on other phones in the past but not this time. What I did is within the first hour of getting the phone I wrapped it in that sticky wrap that's cut for our phone that they sale on Amazon then I put it in the case. One the phone looks sick wrapped up and two if I ever wanna pull the wrap off I will have a brand new phone with not one single scratch. Cause I found over time plugging a phone in every night in the pitch black before you go to bed eventually scratches around the port but not this time.

Yeah I found replacement covers on Samsung's site for $20. I know there's cheaper alternatives but I am always wary of knock offs. The bigger bummer is the sides of the phone are jacked too and ya can't replace those. Sucks. I was hoping to sell the Note 2 when the Note 3 arrived, but my resale value just took a nose dive.

I bought the Incipio Case LGND and have no regrets. You can find it on their website here http://www.incipio.com/cases/smartp...-cases/samsung-galaxy-note-ii-lgnd-folio.html or spend a little less and buy it from Amazon. However, I'd pay the extra extra money because it comes with a screen protector, cloth and lifetime warranty if purchased directly from the manufacturer. I don't have any issues with debris getting in between the back cover of the phone and the case. The phone is easy to place into the case and take out.
Always clean your case. At least ecery other day. Sabd and little dust particle will eventually get in there no matter how tight your case is.
As for me, I put on Xtremeguard back protector since I had the white version. I figured I can always peel the back and get higher resale value.
