Hi All,
Here I am expressing the overall exp after upgrading my mini pro with german build no (I am from India).
Here are the things I noticed on this NEW mini pro -
1) The home is same like before. Only the lock screen is different. Look screen is nice for me
2) I found the speed is like 10-15% more than 1.6.
3) Some really good and useful widget has been given like Market, smart search, recent calls etc.
4) The setting app is different from look and feel point of view and nice also.
5) If you tap the member of recent call , you will get all the options like message, mail, call with a floating pop up- nice feature.
6) Phone book is more or less same
7) The games are like before. like ****.
8) Calculator got two screen, scroll left to get another screen.
9)live wallpaper support, but no live wallpaper given.
10)No app installer so if you cannot install anything from SD card unless by hook and crook you install a folder-explorer. You can install your first explorer like astro by sending via bluetooth. And then get everything from your SD card.
11) If you set live wallpaper then it will take ages to get the unlock screen. This can be fixed if you user other launcher - I am using AWD with some good theme.
So if you like default home + live wallpaper, you feel like to through your phone
12) Picking up the incoming call is really nice now (at least far better from previous version)
13) In call volume is more or less same I found.
14) Music player does not have album tab the same as before, sound quality is better I believe.
15) Camera has same options like before
16) Web browser got double tap for zoom in an out.
17) Now they have given places and navigation app, I don't have internet on my phone, so could not check it .
18) Album does is same before. No rotate functionality.
What is your opinion?
hi desh lit
Can u upload the german build prop thanks
Can you check if the phone calls recording works with 2.1?
I don't want to loose this feature.
Also
If I upgrade to 2.1 will it be possible to downgrade later ?
If I were you i should change to Launcher pro, it works much faster and so on but the only minus with launcher pro is that it does not have as much customizable things as adw launcher.
German build.prop would be very much appreciated
Sorry for the delay-
I have attached the build.prop.
HOW TO -
1) Open cmd from run in windows. Go to the directory where this build.prop is kept in your laptop.
2) copy or write - "adb push fbuild.prop /sdcard/build.prop" - this will copy the build.prop into your sdcard folder of your phone.
3) copy or write - "adb shell"
4) copy or write - "su" now you will get # in cmd promt
5) copy or write - "mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock2 /system" - this will give you the write permission on the system folder.
6) copy or write - "busybox cp /sdcard/build.prop /system/build.prop" - replace the old build.prop with new one.
7) copy or write - "reboot".
After reboot connect your phone to PC Companion , that will do the rest.

Thank you dude,I mixed Exploid - root for X10 mini & your method ..
I got an update. Upgrading now
But mine is E10i.I used build.prop for E10i.
1238-7173, u20i SG version comes with Application Installer. When u start it the application, it scans ur SD card for all apk files. So if you already backup all ur application to ur sd, its pretty useful.
friends
someone could help me or raise the issue with the original purpose of the windows, and not use that brings the theme

Greetings from Chile

Hi.
Could you elaborate chronologically what happened/what did you do?
Hi
1 GDDUltimateForLGVoidEcho.zip extract files
2 Remove the framework-res.apk files
3 delete the files in the folder res / anim
4 Copy the contents of "xmlsForStandardWindowAnimation.zip" folder anim
5 sign "framework" res.apk "
6 compressed "GDDUltimateForLGVoidEcho.zip"with the new content "framework" res.apk "
7 signs "GDDUltimateForLGVoidEcho.zip"
install the theme with recovery, starts, but see some sort of errors that were closed following
google.process.gapps
com.android.email
com.mobileleader.sync
com.android.deskclock
the keyboard does not start (to write anything, numbers, names, etc)
I can not connect to usb
thank you very much for reading this and help
I hope you did nand backup your phone before installing the theme.
If you did that, do 'Nand restore' in recovery menu, reboot
if you did not do that, you need to reflash void-echo, reboot, install any void's modules such as kernel, a2sd, gapps, etc. that you want.
After making sure your phone is OK, try these steps:
- redownload GDDUltimateForLGVoidEcho.zip
- redownload xmlsForStandardWindowAnimation.zip
- extract contents of xmlsForStandardWindowAnimation.zip to a directory in your PC
- copy GDDUltimateForLGVoidEcho.zip to a file, say you name it 'temp.zip'
- open temp.zip (just open, not extracting it) with 7-zip
- while opening temp.zip, navigate to directory 'system/framework'
- doubleclick framework-res.apk
- navigate to directory 'res\anim'
- drag-drop previous extracted files from 'xmlsForStandardWindowAnimation.zip' to this directory ('res\anim')
- close 7-zip, answer 'Yes' when asked whether to update contents of framework-res.apk
- sign temp.zip
- copy the signed zip file to sd card and flash it
Hope this solves your problem.
Cheers.

How to delete the junk apps:
Use titanium backup pro, or a root file explorer like root explorer, ghost commander, file expert...
Go into "system/app" with Root Explorer, in that folder are all the junk apps. Now press "Mount R/W". Now you can delete the junk apps one by one or multi-select them. To have a backup of the apps, I'd suggest you to move them to the sd card. It's good to make a folder called "Junk Apps - name of the firmware" on your sd card.
Now select the apps, press move and go to the sd card and to the folder "Junk Apps - name of the firmware" and press paste. Done.
WARNING: Rooting and removing System apps is at personal choice and risk of lost of warranty and damaging the phone.
WARNING: Always make a complete backup of ALL the system apps before removing any in case of accidental deletion.
DISCLAIMER: This is only a reference guide. I will bear no responsibilities if by referencing this guide through your own discretion damages your phone in any way.
Apps that are unsafe to remove or are linked to phone's capabilities:
(Keep them if you want access to all of your phone's features.)
Note: Many of these only run when needed while a few of them are persistent services that are about 1mb sizes. While removing them may give you a few mb more, keeping them is rather insignificant.
Note: Some of them can also be removed if you have replaced or removed the main app they are tied to, but read the descriptions carefully!

(These apps can be safely removed and be replaced by preferred third party apps of the same function.)
Warning: Sony Ericsson's home launcher should not be removed until after another third party home launcher has been installed and properly set up to take over it's function.
Note: Depending on the third party calendar app of choice, it may be advisable to setup your calendars using the default calendar app before removing it.
Note: Most third party messaging apps cannot send and receive MMS if the stock messaging app is removed.
Note: Removing the default clock widget will also remove the alarm feature. Ensure your clock of choice has alarms or have another alarm app installed.

Updating of System apps:
Unlike user apps, when system apps get updated, the original apk in /system/app cannot be replaced automatically. Hence the newer version will be installed as a user app in /data/app.
To save space on your rom, the original ones in /system/app can be deleted. Or, you can manually replace the newer ones from /data/app to /system/app.
Deleting the ones in /system/app is recommended since future updates will replace them and saves space on the rom.
Warning: It is safer to remove System apps from /System/App after you have updated them.
Note: Doing either method for facebook.apk will cause you to lose your facebook contacts. However, they can be restored by launching the facebook app, press back button, then menu button > Settings > Sync Contacts. You will also have to manually resync the ones that have been manually added using 'Join Contacts' as well.
Note: The exception is AdobeFlashPlayer.apk. Manually moving it to /system/app will not work. It only works when it's properly installed. So, simply delete the one in /system/app instead. And if it stops working, simply tap the one in /data/app to reinstall it properly.
Note: Having only one instance of Android Market will also fix the bug where some users' Market will not correctly show all the apps that are installed under 'My apps'.
Note: If you use the copy and paste method, you need to set the permissions for the APK after moving. Permissions: Check all for Read, check Owner for Write, leave the rest unchecked.
The apks currently with updates are:
facebook.apk --- Facebook
com.whatsapp.apk --- Whatsapp
Maps.apk --- Google Maps
Vending.apk --- Android Market
AdobeFlashPlayer.apk --- Adobe Flash Player
Making User Apps into System Apps:
System and User apps are stored in partitioned memory, meaning they have separate amounts of memory allocated ie. System Storage Memory and User Storage Memory.
There is ~100mb of unused System app storage going to waste.
By making a User app into a System app, you change it's storage location and free up space to allow you to install more User apps. This is done simply by moving the User app to System app storage.
Note: Recommended apps to move can be home launchers, input methods, apps that you want permanently available on the phone ie. without SD card, apps that you don't need to update.
Warning: Caution when moving a system app back to user app! Example: Moving a home launcher from System/App to Data/App breaks it. Your phone will not work without a working home launcher! Restore the default home launcher to System/App before doing it!
Steps:
1. Browse to /data/app and locate the APK you want to move
2. Move* the APK to /system/app
3. Reboot
*If you use the copy and paste method, you need to set the permissions for the APK after moving. Permissions: Check all for Read, check Owner for Write, leave the rest unchecked.
Bloatwares reappearing after reboot

There might be more apps that are removable without bricking the ROM, but then you lose some functions.
Remember to backup. Do this at your own risk. I'm not responsible if you brick or damage your phone!

Thanks man, this will probably save me lots of work !
Thanks for the list!
I do have an inquiry though: I have been uninstalling some bloatware using Titanium Backup, but I have some six apps which incessantly (and magically) reinstall themselves after every reboot. I want them permanently removed, as I don't have any use of them. I've been stuck in this cycle for at least a dozen times now, and I wouldn't want to resort to the "no reboot, no problem" option. Would you happen to know of a way around this? Here's the list of the said apps:
Foursquare
McAfee Security
+Plus
UEFA.com
xl_launcher
Xperia Hot Shots
If it helps, here are some of my phone stats:
MT15i
Rooted, Locked Bootloader
Stock Kernel
Stock ROM (4.0.2.A.0.42)
Thanks in advance!
You have some spelling errors but i'm not going all Grammar Nazi on you
Good work and i find it quite usefull.
Hi,
I've already removed all the bloatware in my Neo with Flashtool thanks to this post.
Very appreciated dude
But there's still an annoying thing I want to remove, it's the data traffic switch in the upper left corner like the image attached.
I've removed the 'datatrafficswitch.apk' but it remains there, although the app is not installed.
Is the 'datatrafficswitch.apk' related to this notification toogle/switch?
If yes, why it's not removed?
And if not, does anyone knows how to remove this crap?

Go grammar but not nazi, and please correct me, I'm not good at English and I copied a lot of this stuff from other places to have it here, it is not in order, complete or corrected at all. Please contribute and improve it

I did some more research, and apparently the unwanted behavior could be traced to the Generic Singapore firmware distro (which I think I have, given that I live in the SE Asian region). I've fortunately found a solution within these forums for this. For those of you who are having the same problem, you might want to check this thread out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1326733&page=2 (and TS, you might want to add this info to your post).
And oh yeah, I used Ghost Commander for the removal of the apk's (since Root Explorer isn't free and File Expert wasn't able to mount rw in my phone).

No idea, but clearing notifications of the drop down curtain, it disappears temporarily. Use some log viewer to identify when that happens and what apk or jar is involved. Or try to delete that icon. Or simply ignore it, it seems a good solution too.
How did you get circular battery icon? I'd like to know

Check if you have deleted the file "SEMCSetupWizard.apk" I had done the same and after lot of trial and error I found this file is necessary for the lockscreen and for communication via PC companion.
Im attaching the file in case you require, put the same in system/app folder with rr-r--r-- permission.
hope this helps.
Hi dude!
Are you able to update the list with the new apps in firmware v62?
I mean, if it has changed any unnecessary system apps.
Thanks.
Someone already tried to "Making User Apps into System Apps"?
I'm using Root browser lite, I moved Google Music app, and its doesn't work anymore :/
maybe there is something else thats also need to be moved?
edit: I just restart my phone and now it works! (I know, I'm a noob)
10x realy help
Thank you devrruti!
Very useful list.
So I found someone's debloater tool on here that removes apps that were considered bloat, however, it also removed the Email app, which I heavily use for corporate email. So I found a link to download all the original apks, and copied over the following to my /system/app folder:
SecEmail_J.apk
SecEmail_J.odex
SecExchange.apk
SecExchange.odex
and rebooted my phone. However, the icons don't show up for the Email app, and I don't have the option to add a Microsoft exchange account when I go into the 'add account' menu in Settings
Any ideas on what I can do?
Bump

Install the no-wipe copy of your ROM using ODIN. See the Android Development forum for this phone for a pointer.
Did you set the permissions correctly?

Those are the same permissions as everything else in that folder. Does it look right?
