ok i am really confused for a rom their are to many and everyone of them got their own pros n cons now the thing is i wana flash a rom wich is fast n stable n most important part is which has tun.ko working as i specially want the open vpn to work on it ... now as far as i knw tun.ko is working on cf-root ketuts kernal ... but which one i go for ?
but is their a cm7 with working tun.ko ? guys help me decide which rom i should go for i was using coderom before but wana try something fast n new now .....
n please m not asking for a best rom here to piss any devs just help deciding according to my requirements

You might look into MIUI. Not sure if tun.ko works on MIUI but MIUI is a great rom.

That isn't an official MIUI ROM. Looks like a nice knock off though... you could try it. Not sure which device you're running cuz I'm on the mobile app but you could check out miuiandroid.com to see if there's an official rom out for your phone.

to be honest i have been on stock like and touchwiz roms so far and been on cm7 for lilttle time what i need is fast rom on wich i can play games and can run open vpn and nice stylish theams < (which so far i have never tried lol)
ok now bro jusada i have tried sunday 2 today and i wana confirm tun.ko works on your rom without any problem and its a really nice n fastest rom. cm7 is awesome but its a bit to much also i miss few things of stock tho...( like it wont read simcard contacts it self , swipe right to call n left to text function in call logs so on.. )
i was confused in beginning was lookin for file manager i think you should leave a file manager in it i dont think its a bad idea coz file manager is a main thing in phone i guess after all but any ways i did my own way to install it just send a file from bluetooth and access it from notifications

The reason I have left the file manager out is because cm7s file manager is so very poor. I don't replace as its ment to be stock cm. I know I've moved from that a little lately, but it will be moving back to that.

Its mine now....she got a ray for xmas, but left it outside overnight in the snow, so when the insurance came through I got a new neo and she got my old x10!!!

Its jsut a new lockscreen image, the icons are in the famework-res.apk

Whenever i download an app from the app it ghost downloads first then redownloads ( yeah for an app to download i have to download it twice sometimes thrice ) i dont face this problem everytime ..sometimes i can download files < 2mb but when a file is >5mb i face this problem everytime!!!!!
And wait this is not related to my rom ...on stock froyo or stock gb or cm7 by behradgh by axel by grif by vo-1 by fat !!!!!!!!i have faced this problem on EVERY ROM EVERY TIME !!!!!
and i using the old market btw ..the one which is not like the windows phone ui due to network reasons....u see the new store is reaaaaalllllyyyy slowwwwwww on my phone

Have you tried to create another gmail account? An account wich you use only for downloading/buying apps from Market/Play. I would try this in your place. You have nothing to loose.
If you have problems with the market, you can always use google and download apk then send to your phones, then open file manager and install!

have you tried marketfix? I was on stock rom when I had same probs. Marketfix helped me with that. Although I haven't experienced it while using Cm7 roms

So i was an idiot and payed the 10 dollars for Chameleon Launcher thinking i would be able to find the actual apk file somewhere.. or that they might email me a copy of it.. yea i was wrong.. so i went looking around for a way to trick the market and came across a few build.prop tweaks.. none of which worked.. so i decided to pick up my sons Nexus 7 this evening and give it a try myself.. and this is what i came up with.. my i717.. honestly believes its a nexus 7.. ****.. so does google..

First things first, if you arent already running in tablet mode do so.. your settings should look like this.. This will require a reboot.. go ahead..

After this whole deal is finished you can change them to bigger if you want.. but as far as i know.. for this to work.. they need to be straight tablet for now..
Next.. Make a backup.. im not responsible and alla that.. you break you buy..
Okay.. So now that you have a backup.. open up your ES File.. or whatever you use.. and navigate to your build.prop (/system/) should be right there..
Next.. make a copy of it and just let it sit there.. Just in case...(copy of build.prop)
Now.. the fun stuff.. make sure you change exactly what i have changed.. or else it wont work.. not sure if its down to the spaces and what not.. but who knows.. i sure dont..
Everything in BOLD are the lines that need to be changed..
The BOLD and ITALIC is what i actually changed it to..

Okay.. so now that thats over.. MAKE SURE AND SAVE THE FILE.. or else you would have just wasted your time..
Reboot..
Now.. if everything went smoothly.. as soon as your phone reboots.. you should receive that email from Google.. and your apps should start to update on their own.. to the tablet type apps..

And now youre done.. now i honestly only did this because i wanted chameleon launcher.. and i dont work for them or anything.. but it really is a nice launcher for our phone.. and it works pretty damn well.. its worth 10 bucks even if you only use it for a week.. give it a try..
After using a bootleg copy of it.. then installing the real deal.. its awesome.. and with this tweek.. the resolution on the screen is amazing.. icons look crisp and sharp.. everything runs a little smoother.. it just looks pretty damn good.. anyway.. all in all.. your i717 phablet.. is now really.. a tablet..

Couldnt you have just used the any dpi market apk..the one floating around that doesn't restrict dpi settings for the market?...it brings up more apps for the note, that stock normally doesn't..lol
I did this for the galaxy nexus when ics was out long ago to get apps..any time you change the build prob to a certain device ..clear cache reboot, it manipulates the market to believing its the device..this way you can get certain games or apps....

to be honest with you.. i doubt it.. i took the build.prop from the newest release.. and the stuff i replaced it with.. is from the origional nexus 7 build i believe.. could even be the European version of nexus 7.. heh

MOD EDIT.. OR try titanium backup or even rom toolbox some apps will allow you to break the link of the app to the market ..or other options

For some reason the resolution does look very clearer like the graphics "POP" out at ya...does that launcher use a hardware rendering or some option to enhance quality of pictures or something? I have my build props set at maximum resolution so I don't know if its my phone making it look that clear or your actual launcher?
The original post seems like a lot of work. Will simply changing the dpi to run tabletop work as well and will it look as nice? And is the launcher worth $10?

i personally think the launcher is worth ten dollars.. ive compared it from a bootleg version.. to this version 1.. and its a huge improvement.. but thats my opinion.. lets be for real.. ten dollars.. is one hour of work at mcdonalds.. its like i said.. pay ten bucks.. use it for a week.. and you got your moneys worth.. but again.. personal opinion.. as far as the amount of work.. it really isnt.. just alot of words to explain it step by step in detail like i did.. the hardest part of it all would be the build.prop section.. but.. once again.. personal opinion.. but i think youre smart enough to figure out what line that secition starts and ends on.. and just copy and paste the whole thing.. entire process.. 7 min maximum.. if you do it smart..

hmm this is still in dev bro....atm had a lockscreen problem in it ..and it used to only unlock in mini pro..
and finally we fixed lockscreen layout and its almost ready..
so flameos dev is still on happy.

Nope It is not True I am Working on it day and Night ..!!..!! It is pretty hard To fix internal Layout I Released It only for minipro because Lockscreen is not working ..!! ... but fixed it...! And working on other layouts..!!!
