[Q] Firmware 4.0.2.A.69 (WT19i) - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Did this firmware officially release? If so, can I update it. Maybe my region is Generic Trade France.

maybe that is fake rom. last firmware is .62.

It seems to be available on wotan server for Generic Trade Germany (2.3.4)
http://www.wotanserver.com/en/sony-ericsson/se/live-with-walkman-wt19/4-0-2-a-0-69/language-download
Usually these updates take some time to be released accross regions. And sometimes they are skipped entirely for some brands/versions.

I have updated to version 0.69 for wt19i through Wotan server, you can try using Wotan server, I saw more of a free ram very good : P

[Q] Difference of firmware....

what is the difference between these:
4.0.2.A.0.58 firmware and
4.0.2.A.0.42 firmware?
is there firmware available now in Neo?
there is no noticeable difference, probably just some bugfix.
yes is available fo neo, i update my to .58 some time ago via pc companion.
Only in certain (APAC) territories. It isn't available on EMMA yet either.
The 42 and 58 f/w versions are effectively the same.

I'm from Italy but I have flashed a Nordic rom with wotan. Don't know in what country the update is rolling out.
And for notice the update was founded only when I connected the phone to the pc and launched pc companion.

Done to death this one - this is Germany only and for info, PCC does NOT mean updates are available or that anything on there is for all regions or carriers.
If your phone has an issue that needs resolving, why not ask in the appropriate section? For a start, you could update to .62 (recommended) via Wotan (recommended).

In my region (Latvia) phone lacks FW .62 update! Last week PCC wrote that phone is up to date (FW .42) and this morning - FW .69 is avialable!
Why not use .62 from Wotan then? .69 shouldn't be available outside Germany via SE...
Updating it to .69 might cause issues with Google Mail, or not. Your call.

Does yo mean that I cannot update my phone by SE support, only by downloading somewhere fw and flashing by flash tool?
Where is your phone from and what f/w does it have, region wise? All sounds strange this...!
Its kinda useless, this is only for Germany !! How many times we must say it.

This updates include memory fixes and baseband update to 66 aside from Google Mail issues in DE.
I've tried it myself flashing via Wotan Server.
Make update via PCC, it works fine, noticable faster than .42 (not in benchamrks, but just in use) and less memory usage without blootware freezing! I lost root and all programs moved to ROM, but it worth!

Its only a Google rename of course its faster then 42 ha
Sent from my MT15i using Tapatalk
Faster? Same ROM/kernel with minor App mods/deletes only. And a radio rename.
From Xperiablog:
The last update (version 4.0.2.A.0.62) mainly brought changes to improve memory management to counter reboot issues. It seems that this latest 4.0.2.A.0.69 firmware update is only for the German market and surrounds a legal issue of using the ‘Gmail’ name over ‘Google Mail’. Therefore we wouldn’t rush to try and flash to this latest version.

and again this was based on our usage, i have had .69 on my phone plus this got a new baseband, which is 66
Baseband = radio, FYI
Changing GMail.apk results in a performance improvement. Neat.
yeah, why the baseband has been changed ?
baseband mean wifi, gsm, hspa, bluetooth, gps etc
so there is some improvements
if would have been only a legal problem wit gmail in germany, why a new baseband?
Baseband may be simple update, or more likely, a simple ident change with no code amendments at all. I bet you anything there is NO Difference whatsoever.

I´ve .69 and yes there are some improvments in phone. Just not sure but i think battery drain is a bit faster then .62.
I´m building a rom with this baseband and it´s fastest I saw.
What's faster?
Responses to this are way too vague/placebo/subjective/lacking cred.
Baseband affects "speed" of what exactly? A miracle awaits...
Yesterday I root .69 (unlock BL by testpin), block some blootware and yes, now it is more faster than .42!
I not see FW .62, is in that FW google+, in this FW it present.
Unfortunately Apps2rom not work, it run, but not moove apps to rom!

I can give you Gingerbread today and you can update yourself from that with PCC or SEUS or ICS on Sunday.
Yes please. Thanks for your help
Only managed to get Gingerbread for now, sorry, but SEUS or PCC will update you straight to ICS anyway.
https://rapidshare.com/files/3111799828/Xperia U (ST25i)_6.0.B.3.184_Generic UK.ftf
If you use it could you let me know if it updates you to 6.1.1.B.1.10 or 6.1.1.B.1.54.
Thanks.
Thanks for your reply.
I tried this on Saturday and it works a treat.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2008667&highlight=xperia+uk+firmware
I used the flash tool, then used pc companion to repair the phone and then did a hard reset on the phone. Everything working great. Camera is a bit laggy though.
Goes to 6.1.1.B.1.10 only.
Is there a generic UK firmware that upgrades to 6.1.1.B.1.54 ?

Use the nordic generic firmware. Fast, less junk and works great in the UK. I use it on EE without issues.

But just noticing... If you wanted .54 firmwire, why did you downgrade to GB than updated to b.10 in first place?

[Q] [Xperia U] Versions confusion...

Hi,
I've flashed my Xperia U with Xperiance Lite ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2075878), and my versions is 6.1.1.C.1.0. It was the same also before flashing the ROM.
Now, every time I connect the device to my PC, Sony's software says it found a new update - 6.1.1.B.1.54.
Not that I'm going to update, as I'm so happy with Xperiance Lite, but it makes me confused. Is Sony actually advising me to downgrade? Isn't 6.1.1.B.1.54 lower than 6.1.1.C.1.0?
I'm located in Germany, by the way.
I think 6.1.1.C.1.0 is a regional update,so with X Lite you are already on latest one.
But for Germany .54 is shown as latest one rather C.1.0

Thanks a lot, neectron.
Where do you see what is the latest for Germany?
Also, if I want to keep X Lite, I shouldn't update to .54, right?
Sorry for the silly questions...

As we know, .C.10 was published in Croatia (Telekom provider), Slovakia (Telekom provider) and maybe some other countries accross Europe. It's newer than .B.54 and it has solved issues with tethering or missing SMS notif sound...

And actually its better than .54 . That's right .C.10 its newer and solved many bugs of .54 Just root it and erase everything about T Mobile and you will get the best ICS Stock ROM
Have you changed the build.prop or other document to overwrite the customized version number? The number should ordered in such way as 1262-1120_R7G (it's france version). Otherwise you should not get your Germany notification for you have flashed it to other country version.

[Q] Xperia Z2 .402 firmware updates not showing in US?

Hi guys,
I was searching the web to see what the latest firmware is for the Xperia Z2, and it appears to be .402, though I also saw some mention of .438.
However, I'm in the US and am still sitting on .314. Sony PC Companion says I am up to date and does not detect any available updates.
Am I missing something, or is .314 really the latest available firmware version?

top ones are newer ones, takes about a week to a month to show up to customers after being certified by ptcrb
this may be useful to you
According to that page there's a 323 firmware...?
