HI Guys one of my friend needs help with galaxy s2, I am using sensation XE so I have no idea about roms, and kernals about galaxy s2,
The first problem is the battery timing is too short, It can run 1 day hardly with full brightness off and turning off the locations and GPS as well, and the second problem I found is, I was trying to install a custom launcher on it and the cell was getting really hot, and within like 10 min's the battery drain down from %70 to %30, Is it because the stock kernal might be using the higher frequency everytime ? I don't know I just think this could be a problem, But please give me a advice what should I do to make this phone more better for my friend,
should I install custom rom or custom kernal on it ?
and If I did then Is it possible to find a stock Vodafone Australia rom again ?
Can I unroot the device later if it needed to go to the warranty in any case ?

You need to read the battery posts
start with better battery stats

Custom launcher is that one that requires root ????
, But please give me a advice what should I do to make this phone more better for my friend,

Yes flash stock rom

First sorry i m sure this question has been asked soooo many times but i don't know whats good or not
I m running htc hd2 from tmobile or they call Leo my phone frizz lot and sooo slow my nokia 5800 was fast then this thing may be just something in stock ROM or something
Can any 1 gave me links to good ROM that looks like stock ROM but fast and don't freeze lot.?
here is another Q i know its not in this section but how to install Android on hd2 and can u install 2.2 on phone memory and not run from memory card ?
and any good guildes with link how to install it would be good
I am nob to phone so i know very little about phone.

Ok I hated my hd2 about a week after I got it.Now I love if you are into Flashing a coustom Rom I would use Core Cell or Energy rom.I am also a newbi but I have done alot of Reading on this great site. you have to install Hspl3 before you can install any costom ROM as far as android goes I change it all the time.Also I would look for the anserw before you ask any ?.

i was on stock .73 firmware as i installed the XHS for the first time v3..after reboot..i entered the pin code...and every 1,5 sec the system told me with a warning that the xxxx service has been closed...i canot even start the calender e.t.c....ii cant start any service .
2 question.
as i installed this custom rom...all is stock...but when i read the title from xhs...it mentioned that there is soo many modification...ui is still stock by me???/ why
3. question..i canot install ANY ANY of doomloards kernel ... why???/ i love his kernels sooo.....the only custom kernel worked for me is Advance stock kernel.
i want to undervolt & underclock my CPU for even more battery life.
soo i kindly ask every one in xda forum specially the developer of this rom to help me.
cuz i know this forum is to share others experience and help others.

I would like to Root the phone and install custom ROM
Can you please provide me a link for the latest ROM ( ICS/JB/CM)
Also i am facing issues with the phone.. The phone gets heated up too much. especially while playing temple run. Please help. I tried searching all over the internet about the ROM and phone getting heated up but could not get any answer.

However I have put a new ROM on but now my phone is not registering on my network. I tried adding a patch but no avail.
Could anyone tell me where I can get a UK version of jellybean 4.2.1 official stock rom? I dont want a custom one as I dont faff with my phone to the max.
Any help much appreciated.
Plus ive seen quite a few battery calibration apps on play store, will deleting the battery bins file actually sort the battery life out or is it just a placebo type affect?

probably efs format is changed as you downgraded your phone. is your imei okay as well the serial number? if not, go through the link under my signature. for better battery results, root and use greenify. and moreover there is no UK version of 4.2.1 as it is just a leak!
Best advice is to read and understand the basics before you do anything, if you are lucky you might be able to recover the damage you've already caused but this isn't certain.
Getting into a flash panic will destroy your phone.

flash a stock rom through ODIN! had you backed up ur stock rom you could recover
hello im new to all this so if ive got it wrong please let me know
i recently had my phone stolen so due to financial restrictions ive been forced to go back to my galaxy ace i have finnaly got it rooted i think ive updated superuser via playstore and i dont know what to do next .basicly the only reason ive rooted is to increase the internal memory and possibly clock speed a little .now im not a tech minded person and havent got a clue what im doing so any help would be appreciated

Hello!
1. Flash TouchWiz-Resurrection ROM (in S5830i development forum) - instructions in main thread. It will revamp your phone, so you will feel it like SAMMY JB.
2. For performance, stay with stock kernel. For features use Rafael.Baugis, ThunderKernel, Cyanus, etc.
3. Configure your phone, to the best state (delete apps, that are useless for you [it's much personal thing], add useful, and move these apps to system.
4. Wipe data/factory reset again.
5. Ready!
It's way, in which I'm always going.

What i did was went to play store and searched "root required". lots of stuff came up that made my phone cool. I would recommend flashing gingerkat rom, it has been really good. my battery life has increased. i used to only get a day out of it, now i am getting more than 24 hours, this is with a little bit of use during the day, this is obviously with the help of cpu tuner. not sure if i helped, if i did please hit thanks.
