I was recording some video today. Then I went to play it back... and OH GOD THE NOISE. I felt my ears were being abused. I looked at the properties of the video file... It's recording the audio track with AMR_NB at 62kpbs and 16khz!? WTF!
Is there anything I can do to fix this? 62kbps 16khz is pretty abysmal... What good is gorgeous 1080p video when it sounds terrible?
I checked the media_profiles.xml file, the device supports recording to AAC at 44.1khz, and a bitrate of 128kbps, so why can't I enable this?
Also, recording through "Tape Machine Lite" (free on the market) sounds great, and does indeed record at 44.1khz, and a bitrate of 708kbps O) so it's definitely possible. The in built voice recorder however recorded at a crummy 16Khz.
TL: DR- Sound recording quality in video recorder is bad, but recording via external app appears to be good, indicating the mic is capable of the task. Is there any way to force the video to record with the good quality?

Hi,
I am having trouble sending video files via Whatsapp.
After uploading, the video have stuttering.
It looks as if Whatsapp is cutting out the frames while compressing.
Have you encountered such a problem?
The video was recorded in 1080p 30fps with stabilization turned on.
