[Help] Market don't appear all apps - Sony Tablet S

Hi, i changed build prop to acer 500, but in the market only appear apps compatible with sony s..
How can i hange this?

Why start a new post
when you say market thinks it is a sony, their must be something that you have ddone incorrectly. Ive said this before,, double check your build prop. Ive used the A500 without any issues.TRY to download something from market place from a computer. Does it say Sony? Double check the build prop and if necessary try a differnt build prop
If the build prop is not entered with the exact info i described then it will not work.

diddy,
could you post your build.prop and highlight the changes in bold letters?
I guess it could be helpful to double check for kadji9 and maybe others.

Yes, please upload your build.prop
I changed exactly like you but market don't appear, for games is ok, i can play all gameloft games now

Ok here is my actual build prop that i have used to make gameloft games work. The hightlighted areas that i have changed are in red. Make sure that this is exactly the same when inputting the infomation. One additional thought on this, the area highlighted in blue could be changed to acer, i haven't changed it but thinking now, when i download from marketplace my device shows sony A500.
I am not responsible for any devices malfunctioning, this is your decision to alter and not mine.

My build is the same as yours, where you can see Sony A500 in the market?
I want to check what is appearing

Just a thought, the specs on a sammy 10.1 is similar to the Sony. Here is the essential bits to change if anyone wants to try. Again this is your responsibility and i will take no blame if it goes wrong. I may try this build in a few days but as my dad would say" if its not broken don't fix it"

Hey diddy64
Is the build prop located in the root directory of usb storage? Is the document you are editing called default capability? If no to both of theses then could you please tell me where the build prop is located and what it is called?
Thanks
Andy

Download root explorer, and go to system folder

Hey diddy64
Would it be possible to make the root compatible with bulid 10 of the kernel? I tried one of those all in one things made by condi and it change the kernel build number from 5 to 10. From what |I have read you can't root if the kernel number is above 8
If not is it possible for someone to upload the stock rom so that I can flash that and root my tablet again?
Thanks
Andy

Thanks Kadji for the advice
Is there anyway that the root could work with build 10 of the kernel as I used one of the all in one root things and it changed the kernel build number from 5 to 10
If not can some upload the stock rom so that I can flash it again and root it properly please?
Thanks
Andy

You, J, and myself, have a SERIOUS flashing addiction, lol. I think we've tried just about every ROM release out there amongst the three of us. The Kangs, Rods, eViLs, Innovations, Enoms, Cyans, Modaccos, etc .. lol. Every last one.
I'll be talking to jlevy on gtalk, and next thing I know I'll get a message "New build" .. and immediately I drop what I'm doing, pending importance level, and get to downloading and flashing .. even middle of the night. *sigh* ..

Well, I'm quite a ROM addict and I've flashed this (except the hboot... it's got the new 17 hboot as opposed the the 12 hboot in the ATT/TMo ROM) and other than some VF specifics like APNs, i've not noticed any difference...

[Q] Tablet S won't upgrade

I bought a Tablet S refurbished almost two months now and since I got it I haven't been able to do the OTA upgrade to 4.0.3, every time I try to update it I either get a failure to download error or it downloads the update and it stops a quarter of the way during the install after reboot and then it starts and gives me an error code 5. I'm pretty much frustrated and I'm this close to selling it, Is this a common occurrence? Is there a simple way I can root the tablet and download and install the update?
PS. Would the fact that I bought the tablet in the US and I'm now in the Caribbean have any bearing on this?

Oh you are on 3.2. Also you are US region?? Then look here http://www.4shared.com/folder/LwQh2332/SONY.html the file you want aka 3.2.1R2 is 0042.001.zip. NB: If you install ICS R1a or higher (i think) you can not go back to HC. If you like it then stay. also note that this 3.2.1R2 IS ROOTABLE
EDIT: If that does not work then please try 0035 then 0042

Not install any firmware

The problem is next. When i install new firmware with custom method i see "error code: 5". When i install any firmware with recovery mode i see
"Verifying update package
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted."
My device is Sony Tablet S with android 3.2.

It looks that your device is [for now] not rootable...
In your kernel version exploit vulnerability has been locked down...
You need to wait for DEVs to find another way...

I can't install drivers for recovery mod. In normal mod drivers installed and work good. Id-device is USB\VID_18D1&PID_05B3&REV_0100. And i can't see same id in android_winusb.inf file. My OS is win7 64-bit.

Ah yes for recovery just change the REV_0999 to REV_0100 as this is the newer recovery's driver. There is a thread somewhere with the update .inf but it is simple enough to edit.
Forgot about that.

For normal mod drivers is great. For recovery not work. Trouble is next. Id-device in normal mod - USB\VID_054C&PID_05B4&MI_01. Id-device in recovery USB\VID_18D1&PID_05B3&REV_0100 not same like normal mod and any drivers work on normal mod but not work on recovery. When i tried to rewrite id for recovery mod, drivers installed and work but adb don't see any devices.

Keep trying, drivers can be a mission in windows (you are not Win8 are you??)... Took me a while to. If it helps try my drivers on my 4shared. See sig.

Search for "CREATE OWN ROM FOR ANY ANDROID DEVICE" in this forum, I cannot provide the link as I am a new user
Maybe you can make a ROM out of your working tablet to flash on the bricked one...
