That's weird i'm using Injecttheory and I cant get Netflix to open. Just goes to black screen.
It came baked into the Rom but no luck in running it.
Any thoughts?
Downloaded the Netflix.apk from the link in this thread and put it on my sd card. I opened it and it asked to write over the system file netflix that was baked in with Inj3ct ROM and now it runs like a champ.
Lol I'm running 2.1 now and it still won't work properly...

you all could save yourselves loads of time if you would go look in the general application forum for android on xda for the netflix app instead of posting about it here. they always update it there first.

Here is some quick info, for those that are debating leaving CM7.
Some (but not all) things that DO NOT WORK:
Netflix
HD-Youtube
Mic
Camera
Some Market apps
Titanium Backup
Most of the hardware problems from CM7 still exist in this CM9 alpha build.
awesome. I don't care how many problems it has since my touchpad is just sitting in my room doing nothing and being lazy.

EDIT:
calendar not syncing. trying fixer now.
EDIT 2:

It is very nice for alpha. Smooth and I haven't tweaked it in the slightest yet.

Did you forget to include ClockWorkMod Recovery in the update folder on SDCard /root?
if you don't care about losing your data you can just flash the zip as you normally would from CWM.
Working pretty good so far. Just had a reboot with root file explorer but otherwise very smooth and usable.
edit: maybe i downloaded the wrong file, but is there a gapps with the new google music? the 7.1 that i downloaded that was linked on page 1 has the old music apk.
Smooth as butter.
Works great, didnt have any issues updating using ACME installer 2.
I flashed through cmw, I rebooted and all is well

Sounds good. I need Titanium Backup to work though
I tried a bunch of Titanium Backups and I got 4.0.2 to work.
4.7.x, 4.6.x, 4.5.x don't seem to work. 4.0.2 works perfectly.

Ok.. So obviously I am doing something wrong... My steps:
1. flash zip via CWM Recovery
2. Reboot
3. Set permissions for the two folders to equal upside down U. (they're already set)
4. Enjoy
I end up with an unusable/unresponsive google search bar in Apex Launcher and no sight of Google Now anything in the app drawer or manually researching apps on the phone via TiBu... Could it be that I am using Apex? So strange..
I install m6 on acop cp2 and it works great! Thxs

Same thing here. But everything seems to be ok. When I hit search Google now comes up. No widgets or icon. I used Mikey6_offline.zip.
Also running flap's latest based off of stock ICS
Am I missing something? Is there supposed to be a icon?
Update:
Try the google search icon from the dashboard. It launches google now, or hitting the search button does it too.
Things working good so far with latest MikeOffline6.
On Hybrid 7-ROM.
I use Google Voice for calls and SMS.
When I say 'Text Marty Fcfly 1.2 GigaWatts?!
It finds the contact....shows the text. I hit send but the recipient never gets the message.
Anyone else have problems with 'Google Now' sending SMS through Google Voice?

First off this is not my mod all thanks go to Lovetz whose thread I will link and Rockodev and Contradictor who he credits there. Recently I went back to CM7 because of stability issues with the DX2 CM9 ROMS. Once back I started having problems with DSP Manager fc'ing just like I remember. Decided to look for a fix or alternative and found this... IT WORKS GREAT!!!! imho.
As always neither myself or anyone other than YOU are responsible should you mess up your phone, especially if you don't NANDROID BACKUP!!!!!!
1. Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1653140
2. Download the required files referred to in the OP.
3. I used File Explorer to rename DSPManger.apk to DSPManager.apk.old to disable it.
4. Boot into our recovery.
5. MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE YOU FLASH THE ZIP FILE!!!
6. Flash the zip file downloaded from the above link. (I did not do anything other than flash the zip, ie. mount system & mount data referred to in the OP instructions...I think our recovery does that by default)
7. Reboot... I did not wipe anything
8. Install the AudioFXwidget apk (to "open" the widget settings you must do so via the app draw even after installing the widget on a home page)
Enjoy...
I don't play music alot on my X2 but this MOD has made a vast improvement on my X2, clearer, virtually no skipping even with a browser open and surfing
Do you think this may work on the latest Paranoid Android for the DX2?

I wasn't really interested in the beats audio itself. It's just a brand name championed by guys who want to make money, including the creator who got famous for making music where sonic fidelity is the absolute last concern of all involved in production. /rant.
anyhow, I was more interested in the getting rid of audio skips effect of this mod. I hate messing with EQ's and the main benefit of this mod seems to be getting a working EQ/DSP onto ROMs where they aren't.
I'm of the opinion OP may have missed that his beats zip didn't install correctly and played with the EQ til he got sound he liked. This is only because I haven't seen anyone else reporting success on the DX2, which is a sufficiently different beast than the galaxy ace. I don't mean to imply that OP is incompetent or in any way a bad person.
not working
I have tried this on both CM7 and CM9. It is confirmed not working for both. I have sbf'd wiped everything and it doesn't install... Oh well!
The creator of the mod has an app on Google Play that does the work for you. Works fine on my X2 running the latest Eclipse, and it didn't break my DSP manager either.

Alright, following This Guide I got Google now working.
To summarize what I did
1. Root phone using the Korean Root method
2. I unlocked the bootloader and installed CWM using Project FreeGee
3. I booted into CWM and installed This zip.At the I was writing this guide, I freegee was on version 0.5
4. My phone restarted and froze up about twice before finally staying booted. It seems to have normalized now.
edit:Right now most things seem to work.
If anyone finds a better version of Google now, please let me know and post the how-to.
I didn't make the zips and all I have done is follow the instructions and write down my personal experience. I give full credit to the author of the original post for their instructions/work they did. However, since the LGOG doesn't need project Butter, Google Now is the main thing we are missing from 4.1 and it should help ease the wait for a stable AOSP ROM. If anyone has any issues let me know and I'll make a list.

THis is great news. Right now I'm pondering whether to get this phone or the Note II, and Google now (which I have on my Captivate running SlimBean 3.0) is the one thing I really cannot imagine giving up.
Question: when you say that Calendar/settings alamrs don't work, do you mean that they don't work at all, or that they don't show up in Google Now?
I was referring to not working in Google now. Although i did manage to set an alarm with it shortly after this post.
Also fwiw I had the captivate too. I try to stick with nexus hardware.

Uninstall stock voice search with titanium backup or you will get problems with android keyboard. It makes it try use them both for voice typing. I'd assume it may be the cause of any and all problems.
Edit: scratch that... Since installing Google now I get all kinds of freezing reboots. Caca. Then again it just be saying f u to nova launcher. Clearing cashes fixes it until it happens again.

One of the cards says there's an update available in the Play Store. When I go there it says my device is incompatible. Is there something we could tweak to the build.prop in order to get this update? Or will that mess things up due to the nature of how it was installed?
