I was using FLUD on my iPhone, but it doesn't seem to work properly on the Note. What RSS reader are you guys using?
I like JustReader. It is fabulous in landscape mode too.

Was a News Rob fan, but now I use the official Google Reader app. Works well.

Just tried them both out and Pulse really is awesome. I think it will replace Flud nicely for me.
I've used Newsrob, Pulse, the official Google Reader, I've tried a lot of them. So far my favorite has been gReader Pro. There is a free version to try, give it a shot.
I use one called "gReader (Google Reader | RSS)" -- this is not the official Google app!
It's fast, it's simple, it just works, and it's free.
Used Pulse and Greader both for log periods, but keep coming back to Taptu.

Currents looks real nice, and is def customizable but the feeds seem to take FOREVER to load and the UI is not very intuitive, it doesn't seem.
But, to each their own!

Initial install and setup yes the feeds take a few minutes to load, after that it is instant for me. And the UI is simple...nothing flashy just clean and minimal....perfect IMHO.

What is your favorite oh so special app you cannot live without?
I like a TON of apps, from games to entertainment and so on and so forth. but, my favorite app is....
*drum roll*
SLACKER RADIO.
Not only is free streaming radio, you get to pick your stations and you genres. Unlike pandora where you must type your favorite artist/band etc... You can pause skip and favorite songs.
Pretty awesome. I would be sad without it.
So tell me, what is your favorite app?
I absolutely love Lithium Music Player... Eliminates the need for an album art grabber because the one built in is incredible! Plus the graphical interface is very cool!

ePocrates, for work.
Love the fact that the beta android version seems to run faster than the iPhone version, and is also much easier to read with larger font
Second favorite app right now is probably the game Air Control
Tippy Tip, Aldiko, AndroNote are runners up
Gym babes

A tie between Slacker radio (i even subscribed for the monthly fee) and Beautiful Widgets. quick question do you know how to "fine tune" the station on android? i could do it on my iphone but cant find it here.
I never new knew you fine tune it. I will check on my sisters iPhone and see what you mean.

I think beautiful widgets is a given, it makes the phone. I love the mobile buzz widget and get excited any time my vibrant is the subject. Also adw launcher and curve fish widgets. I just can't decide!

Honestly I think I'd have to say the good old stock web browser. I use that more than anything. I've tried alternative browsers but I always come back to stock. The gestures and add-ons in dolphin are great, but the browser is just too slow imo.
And of course I love LP plus and Slacker.
Beautiful widgets, launcher pro, slacker radio subscribed, hd youtube app(replaces stock so I can watch hd as default) ebuddy, photo funia, xda app

Doggcatcher. Podcasts make up about 80% of all listening that I do and that app has saved my sanity on the Android platform. Best 7 bucks I ever spent.
Id have to say that SetCPU is my favorite. Sure I dont interact with it that much, but it makes a world of difference. It allows my phone to run at blazing speeds when needed and then throttle down to near nothing all very quickly and automatically as needed. Now I have awsome performance but on a battery that lasts me all day.
Close runners up are mypics, screenshot, and a few games. Actually I just thought of something, a tie with setCPU will have to be One Click Lag Fix as it has taken my handset from lame to badass in no time at all.

Thanks for mentioning this. Great app. I really dig the slide up menu for artist, track, genre search because it really makes for a one handed operation. Man its really nice. The album art grabber worked great for a few albums I didn't have art work for.
Have u guys seen this music player? the guy who created Launcher Pro is currently working on it but so far looks great...give it a try...here's the alpha 2 version :

Very nice! If it had some Widgets and was compatible with lyrics app, I'd replace player pro this instant. Awesome look and responsiveness, though.

This is an awesome music app for it to be in alpha, especially since it has scrobbling from last.fm.
Force closes on me sometimes too but i suppose that is to be expected.
keeps FC for me, thats a shame since it looks as a nice music player...
Hope next versions will be more stable...
It's a really good first attempt. I put it next to my HTC surround, and it looks freaking perfect. Now only if I could get all the DRM stripped off my Zune Pass content....
Really nice. very good start....
one problem....
IT FORCE CLOSES!!!!
If it force closes, email Fede (the developer) with your logs and what not. He'll try to fix it. Better for everyone and more productive than just whining.
Mine works perfectly fine.
I like it, just wish it had a widget.

Its in alpha... does nobody seem to get that!? He hasn't even got a beta.

most of the time I realise it force closes when it could not pull out the album art fast enough. Not sure if I'm making sense here.
Let me just try again.
While using the app, I realise one peculiarity.
When scrolling though songs, there are occasions where by when the new track starts playing, the album art that is shown, is that of the previous track. And usually in these instances, the app will encounter an error and force close.
Now this appear to be a great app in the works, and if it were to support the a search function instead of just scrolling through the list as well as the ability of editing playlists on the fly, it would be perfect.
For me is working OK. Rooted Stock OLYEM_u4_2.1.1
Thanks for posting about this I'm really loving this player

I love pulse. A preinstalled app that doesn't suck is great.
Pulse is okay, I hope flipboard comes to android.
It would be nice but I recently took a survey with News360 and they're currently working on Twitter/Facebook integration. It could possibly help me forget about Flipboard.
Man...if only I could code, I would have started working on an app just like Flipboard called Scrapbook. LoL. I wouldn't be surprised to see Flipboard appear on Android sometime after Christmas. I still wonder if Apple doesn't pay some of these developers not to work on both.
It seems silly as anybody who can program, can just take your idea, change it a bit and put in on another marketplace.
with that being said , flipboard to me ,also is far more better in providing iformation than any apps i tried on android os.
just by searching word 'cancer' , in these apps vs flipboard , one can clearly see the difference ....
hope flipboard coming to android soon ...

Another thing is that they need to make the content more customizable and give more consideration to the individual preference.

That is true.
Apart from the tremendous claim for their attractive layout, this is a real problem.
There is not enough personal customization of content, and most often, the status updates chronologically.
Ive never had the chance to play with it but having seen reviews, I would really like to use planetary on android.
I would pay 4.99 on the market for that
What do you mean there is no Flipboard-like app? Theres Google Currents which is superior
I was currently searching for planetary. Only thing i found , was this thread.
Can someone port it for android? Or am i asking something incredible?
I have flipboard installed on my tab. In the play store says isn't compatible but you can instal it if you download the apk from other source. Once installed the app says in the first time open that is not made for this screen size but works perfectly!

I second feedly, after learning of Google Reader's demise i've used nothing but this and it's fantastic.
I prefer Pulse myself.
You can see more headlines at once and then decide which stories you want to actually read.
I find having to flip through every story with Flipboard and Currents annoying.
But I can see how they could be appealing as they are more like flipping trough a paper magazine.
I like Google Currents if I want to read from a specific source. Swipe left right to switch between new sources and up down to scrollbetween articles. So convenient! I llike flip board for the compilation of articles or news from various sources at once.
I'm used to flipboard.
So im gonna stay with flipboard
+1 for Feedly. Not perfect but good enough. I can't stand flipboard and especially currents. Too much gloss. At least with Feedly, I can make it look more like Reader.

Pulse is too condensed making it hard to read full titles, Currents I feel like is not as intuitive and simple as Flipboard. I mainly use Flipboard on my note 2 and ipad.
I'm a fan of currents, personally.

Which weather app is the best... it depends what you expect from such app.
