well i guess computer tech geeks would know this,i just use the phone,i dont know the components to build it.... all i know is setCPU and tegrak are used to undervolt, where tegrak was used on stock
i used it on my SGs2,didnt know it was dependant on computer architecture, because seems setCPU is used on a multitude of different phones
with that said, was system tuner able to do that??

System tuner worked for me on DaG custom gingerbread kernel. was able to oc to 1.83 stable and did do some undervoltage playing, but went to ics. Was not able to get it working on any ics roms. From what i have seen/read until devs get source they are very limited on modifying kernels to allow this.

I'm just takin a guess here but you might want to change your model name in build.prop from sgh-i717R to just sgh-i717. Not sure where the 'R' came from but it might be causing the market to think its some other model.

I don't think that's the issue. I think the issue is your ROM. On stock, S Pen apps work perfectly fine, but as far as I know, Saurom is based of AOSPs and is different from the Touchwiz'd version of Gingerbread that Samsung uses.

I'm starting to agree. I changed all of my entries to i717 without the R and it's still not working. We need figure out what exactly it is that the market checks to determine compatibilty. Any ideas?
Did you by chance mess with your LCD density? If you did then it very well may be the culprit. Try to change it back to 320 which is the stock Note density and let us know if it works or not.

I believe there's nothing really to do. You could try sideloading the APK from someone else's phone, but I am presuming you (or someone else) has tried that. There's nothing to do because Saurom is simply a different framework from Touchwiz'd GB. That's one of the trade-offs you get for all the extra benefits, I guess.
Which app(s) are you having trouble with?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk

For some reason I thought the stock density was supposed to be 285.. Can anyone confirm the correct value? I never changed mine but if it is, and the ROM sets it at 320, maybe that's the culprit
320 is default. I messed with mine before and had some weird/bad results so I put it back to default.
Maybe if I played with Overskreen more the lower levels might be interesting.
I just checked my build.prop on the stock rom and it is set to 320.

Yea its definitely 320 so Im currently searching through other values and settings looking for the cause. I've removed the "R" from my model number everywhere I found it so that's not the problem. Hopefully it turns out to be some file or setting that can be modified, and not the framework issue mentioned earlier because there will probably be more apps in the future that are affected as well.

Sorry, my knowledge stops there. I think you need to use the source, build the recovery to our device, and set it up with a kernel.
And, btw, what Recovery are you wanting to port/use?
It was a touch recovery without any kernels and it had keyboard input and looked neat.
I will try searching for how to port it i really want it.

No,
I'm sure it will be more than possible. They just overclocked the Nexus7 to 1.7+ from 1.3 (actually to 2.0Ghz but it's not entirely stable I think). Once we get kernel source and the devs get a chance to work their magic I'll bet it'll be possible. However, there comes a point when enough is enough...and this little breast is more than capable "as is". To much more is overkill for what a cell phone is needed (used) for.

Most surely not directly as is. There will need to be changes or modifications of some kind in order for things to work correctly. The Nexus 4 doesn't havean external sd so won't have code to read one. Ours will need it. The 4 doesn't have native LTE, so their kernel probably is not set up to control that. I'm no kernel developer so I might be off base here...if so, someone please set the record straight. Thanks in advance.
