So I have never used the vibrate volume level until today. The phone does vibrate when hovering over the vibrate option, however when text messages come through it does not vibrate at all. I have the stock firmware and I did a battery pull and still no luck. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix for this?
Thanks
Tried going into the settings in the message app? Sometimes you have to enable it.

You will need to set it in settings. Go to the messaging app that you use, whether it is stock, handcent, GO SMS, etc, then there should be an option within the settings.
For stock messaging app, you would want to enter settings, and under the notifications menu, there should be options where you can toggle vibration.
Awesome rom!!! I am having just two nagging issues... I can't seem to disable the bootsound and I can't call my work voicemail and use the keypad to punch in passcode and menu options because the screen keeps timing out. I already reflashed with a double wipe... Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I should also mention that in PkMn tweaks there's a checkbox to disable bootsound that unchecks after each reboot. It says next to it "just works if you didn't disable it in aroma." I don't even know what "aroma" is....
Also, I have the display set to sleep at 2minutes and when the dialer is on it shuts right away.
I cant find checkbox for notification vibration in messaging setting. Any other way to turm it off?

I have been looking for this also. I can't seem to turn off vibration unless the device is set to silent mode.

Is there any way to disable the vibration of all phone functions and notifications ? That works in CM12.1 or CM13 . I thank those who respond ...
It's there in sound settings (screenshot attached). I'm on temasek, not sure about these options in CM12.1 or 13.

Not option, for disable Vibration :/
don't know about cm12.1 but in cm13 you can block apps ability to use vibration...
1. just go to - Settings > Privacy > Privacy Guard > enable privacy for any app by single tapping on app (alternatively, you can select enabled by default)
2. tap and hold to edit options for app...
3. scroll down and you'll find the option "Vibrate" just disable it and you're good to go!
as for disabling vibration for incoming call..
1. just go to Settings > also vibrate for calls and disable it.. moreover just two options down there you can find the option to reduce vibrator intensity...
2. as for the incoming messages you can find the option to disable vibration in the respective app...
and here you are left with no vibration at all!!
(psst.. moreover if you disable an app's vibration, that app's notification won't be able to vibrate the phone either)
what's more cool is that in the same menu of privacy settings you can also disable the app's ability to access internet over wifi or mobile data

How did you ever find that setting? haha. Did they hide it on purpose? Thank you very much.
Sometimes it seems like we can do everything but change the colour of our phone with the press of a button, but that vibration was killing me to try and stop it.

i was just tinkering around.... i hate the vibrations in my phone too!
hahahaha , i don't think so, but yeah, its pretty deep in there.
Unbelievable but obviously true, the tab vibrates by incoming calls only. There are no other options for vibration feedback like on the keyboard or home screen for example. That's quite poor for such a tab in my opinion

Yes, of course but only that one option for incoming calls

Hi @meduza
I had the opposite issue where it would vibrate for all notifications which I didn't want. The solution was to edit the individual app notification settings (Settings -> Notifications ) to disable vibration. In your case, you'd be looking to enable vibration.
I hope this helps.
I was wondering the same thing... OP is referring to calls/notifications, but HAPTIC feedback (app touches, keyboard touches, navigation button presses...) are disabled and the settings that are usually there on other devices, including the Tab S4 and 5e, are gone. GBoard does let you select vibration on key presses, but if you set it to 'system default', it states DISABLED, so this IS disabled in the OS.

Cool, thanks! That helped in deed! Didn't know there is an option to turn on vibration in individual app notification settings. This brought back the vibration to my email app

That's exactly it! Only one option, the one for incoming calls. I asked in the samsung members app support, if this is really like this or if there is something wrong with my tab, I just couldn't believe it.
The answer was, my tab is o.k., there is this one option only I hope they will fix this with some update ... .
