try klin's klassic, i used that one before moving to cm7
how is cm7? I was hoping to use that but I read it wasn't very stable.
also, do you know if there's a workaround to send mms?

CM7 is far from ready for daily use and if you don't get proper backups you will have a hell of a time reverting back. Trust me I know, I'm still resolving some issues.
alright well im going to try out the KlassicRom, thanks for all the input!
lewa is pretty awesome and stable as well

lewa is based off CM7 so all the CM7 issues are still there, don't get me wrong it is nice but until deep sleep is fixed the battery life is still miserable (about a day max). Plus the newer CM7 (beta 2+) base is not for amateurs as it quite easy to screw yourself when trying to revert back.
hey OP what version of the player do you have (US or International)?
i have the US version.
Currently using Klassic's ROM and the Terrasilent kernal.
question
Hey guys im new to this so i have a question!
Ok so i want to get klin klassic rom (the latest one) on my galaxy player 4! do i just flash his rom, or is there a special kernal i have to download first!
any info is apreciated!

[Q] When someone calls, they can't hear me.

Whenever someone calls me, they say "hello" and I reply but they can't hear me. It doesn't happen ALL the time but MOST of the time. It is annoying, anyone having this problem, have solutions for it?
Running Latest AOKP.
Which kernel are you using with this rom ?
The problem you facing can arise if you are using a non-mswap version of Siyah/neak kernel as we need to use the mswap version only for AOKP/CM9 based roms ..
I faced the same issue when I didn't read the OP of the siyah kernel and flashed the wrong one over paranoid ..
Hope this helps !!!

Hi the modems you suggested are gingerbread modems if im not wrong (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1336958) but i'm on ICS.
Unless here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1361393, "Modems For Samsung Based ROMs" work with AOKP?

You have some reading to do.
There is no difference GB/ICS modem.
all modems will work for you, and you would need an AOSP flashable zip in order to flash if you are running AOKP....
there ya go. Spoonfeeding complete for today.

[Q] need direction on installing devil kernel for fascinate w/JB bld.3

i strongly believe the directions i need our on here somewhere but i just cant find my exact situation.i apologize if im causing clutter in the forum. with that said if i could get help on how to install the correct devil kernel it would be greatly appreciated. i am still learning. so im running jb build 3 on the verizon fascinate. im not sure if and what kernel i have now. all i know is i have the cm7 recovery and flashed the build 3 rom. i keep reading about how build 3 along with devil 1.2.1 or 1.5? i think makes it run even better. so what devil kernel is the right choice for my set up and how do i install it correctly?....oh and where would i find the link? sorry for probably asking such a rookie question.

I am running the latest AOKP with Devil 1.6.0, which is the latest kernel I believe? Things change so fast here! Here's a link to the page for downloading the kernel, I would recommend following DroidStyle guide over in the General forum as you install your kernel. Good Luck! http://rootaxbox.no-ip.org/derteufel/jellybean/Fascinate/ choose the one that has the date of 9/28 and number 160 as the link.
Very cool. Thanks for the needed help!

Alternitive kernel for CM 10.1

I have a little confusion here.
I have CM 10.1 loaded on my Note i717 and its constantly locking up. I have heard many people have great luck flashing an alternative kernel to fix the problem. However, how do I chose a kernel? I have looked all over and don't want to flash any old kernel.
Can any one recommend a kernel that's compatible with my Note i717 running CM 10.1 7/14 nightly.

Are both of those compatible with the i717 galaxy note? Sorry if that's a stupid question but I assume kernels are specific for phones right?
Why don't you follow the links and find out?

[Q] Looking for Stock NC5 Kernel

Hi Guys,
I've searched for a while. I could not find a copy of the stock kernel that is flashable through recovery. I was wondering if anyone here had it with them that they can provide?
What is needed:
The version I am looking for is NC5 NOT NC5D.
Why I am asking for it:
I am getting a kernel panic when I utilize MHL mirror linking so I want to see if the stock OEM kernel will resolve this.
Current Kernel I'm using is freeza's kernel which does not appear to be moving on further.
My kernel panic happens when I mirror link onto my _headunit_ (AVIC-8000NEX) and any time I hit the back button, it will kernel panic.
If anyone has this available that would be great! Thank you!
