[Q] Show Us Ya Battery Life - Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet

Gday Guys,
Just got round to CM7 - and its siiick!
My question to you guys is...
"Show Us Ya Battery Life"?
I use my Tablet most of the day, from 9 till 5, during this time i'm on the internet, reading comics/books and listening to music.
Generally by 6pm my battery life is at 52%
52%... Is that good, bad, average?
What do you think?

There are already a couple of CM7 battery related threads. Please go delve into them rather than starting yet another thread. Thanks =)

[Q] Best ROM for battery?

What do you think the best ROM for battery life is? I've tried checkROM and wasn't too happy with it, due to the fact that the battery drained a lot while playing music - which is one of the main features I use on my Sgs2. Next I moved onto VillainROM, it just wasn't to my liking, as of now I'm on the beautiful HyperDroid-Androidmedia VXD and I'm loving it, I've noticed a fair amount of difference in battery life, 5hrs display time along with a lot of wifi, games, eveything, so I'm pretty chuffed.
I'm going to check out MIUI - but how's the battery on it? I've also heard that it isnt very stable...? If not I'll just stick to Hyperdroid .
Thank you!
I think <insert name of ROM here> is the best for battery life.
Allow the next 10 posters to fill in the gap with several different answers.
I have been able to get out around 36hrs from Gingermod v0.7. the key reason behind this was that i used to switch on data or wi-fi only when i was using it and not all the time. This drastically reduced my battery drain. For eg. i lost only 1% battery during the 8 hrs i was sleeping.

You can find all this out by searching first.

Only you will find best rom as so many variables .....

Battery life - stock gingerbread

Anyones gs2 seem to drain battery quite quick? Ive had a few android phones and the gs2 battery seems to fly down.. Im a heavy user most days like get up in morning facebook and apps all day long.. Strange thing is though i get about 5 mins worth of usage before it drops the first line off the battery.. I get max of about 5 hours of heavy use before i need to recharge.. This normal for gs2?

I am using the stock ROM and not having any issues with the battery lasting less than a day. I had to make a few changes to the settings, but once tweaked I am really happy with it.
Normal for me... a day and a half of light to moderate use. Plenty of syncing every hour, lots of Wifi and GPS, never switch any radios off, lots of FM Radio, auto brightness.... blah blah.
KL1 + LPR baseband, stock rooted, bloat removed. No silly apps, no silly task killers, no battery defenders/benders/superchargers/tweaks or other nefarious idiocy
Im fully aware on how to search.. Wasnt asking for tips on battery life just generaly wondering if my stats was worse then the majority of users on here..
This forum is getting worse for big heads..
Anyways thanks for the input.. Will have to do some "searching" on how to optimise my battery.

This forum is getting worse for big heads..
And far far worse for users that point blank refuse to search and only want to ask the same question day after day .
This is a developers forum not some hand holding fix my phone forum .

Actually having just found the location.. This is Q+A right? Where am i supposed to ask a question?
For others ive attatched my battery stats for today.. Seems a little quick.. I also did a few tweaks to setting as suggested above. Hasnt made a difference.

You're phone is active most the time, rarely sleeps. If you compare with mine above, you notice that the activity is in short infrequent bursts. The screen being on takes a huge amount of power - it's a big screen. And OLED.
I would say considering the sheer amount of use you give it, it's doing rather well... NO comparable smartphone (except the Razr Maxx) will give you much different. It can't.
By the way. not sure why the battery falls off a cliff from around 30% in your pic - scary!
1st, the post was apparently originally posted in a different location, then got moved to the Q&A section by a moderator.
2nd, your screenshot has what looks like a LOT of screen on time. What are your display stats for screen on time? (hh:mm:ss) From my estimation just looking at the bar graph, it looks like you have over half, and nearly 2/3, if not 3/4 of your overall battery time with the screen on, and the phone being "awake". With your overall battery time being 7:16:39, from your screenshot, that's about 3.5 to 4 hours of screen on time? If you are constantly using the phone, or keeping the screen on, it logically follows that the battery will drain.
3rd, JJEgan's point was this: This entire forum is meant for developers. (the name of it is "XDA Developers", after all) Yes, there is a Q&A forum, but more and more, users who are not developers are posting all over the boards stuff like "why is my phone doing blah blah blah" on commonly answered questions, (which is a clear indication that they didn't look or search very hard for the answer, even if they say they did) or, even more offensive in my opinion, "upload XXXX file for me" without so much as a please.
Non-developers are welcome, obviously - heck, anyone can join. But more and more people completely disregard the forum rules, which are plainly posted for everyone to read at the very top of each forum section.
Ahh ok.. Sorry.
I joine the forum as i have a genuine interest in all things phones wise.. Wether that be cooking roms, mods tweaks etc etc.. I dont come on here on the sole basis of asking questions.. Every now and again somethings niggle me about my device so the best place for info surely is xda developers. Though i only use the app at the minuite to view posts i did'nt actually know where the search link was. Though now i do i will use it...
Anyways:
Yea i did notice that big drop on the end of the battery stats.. Thats happened a few times ive noticed.
Dont think ive seen anyone elses screenshots look like that.. Could it be a sign of a dying battery? Or just wrong stats.
Ive read that the battery stats clearing does nothing as the stats it shows is whats using the power n not actual battery level.
My phones only about 5 months old too so everything in it should be in as new condition.
Strange..

My stats for today are what i expect really.. Did an hour of gaming.. Ish..
Screen times on and gaming time are attatched other uses are android os and 5 mins of draw something lol.. Addictive.. Might actually uninstall it so i put my phone down once in a while

Almost 4 hours of screen on is about average, actually. And I can't tell; looks like you still have about 20% or so left on battery in those shots?
I had round about 20% yea. Heavy gaming today though.. No jobs to do
As long as its not too bad i can manage. But thanks alot for your input..
Really appreciated.
Sorry for the confusion mods as to where this was posted.. I will climb under my rock untill i manage to blow something up inside my device messing with it lol.
Love the work you guys put in.. Had many roms etc from these forums. So thanks for that.

That was the end rusult of hammering it btw.. 8 hours worth so thinking about it.. that really aint bad..
And no sudden drop of battery.. Strange..
Edit: couldnt upload image.

Best Rom For Battery Life (POLL)

Hey guys the reason im making this is because i have seen on other forums and even on this that alot and alot of people ask for which rom has the best battery life. So in solution i am making this poll so that people can just look at it and not have to create a thread on what rom has the best battery life and clutter up the general.
SO here are the roms
I will update when new roms come
*snapshots would help
*other roms comment
*choose 1 rom only
*why and how much would help to
Best battery life for me has been Saurom GB. 13 hours on battery, 6 hours of screen time.
On ICS, I've gotten 8 hours on battery, 5 hours screen time while on Noteworthy Beta 2. Still have some tweaking to do on ICS, I had a couple apps set to refresh every 10 minutes, so it killed my battery faster.
Link to screenshots: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25432841&postcount=4
Guys a Search would have told you that Battery life is 99% on the user and has almost nothing to do with the rom. We could be running the exact same rom and get very different battery lifes due to the apps we use and how we have the device set up.
In the end there is not best rom. Only what works best for you.

[Q] SGS2 vs GSM GNEX battery life - is this normal?

Just wondering if the differences in the two are normal.
I owned a SGS2 for a long time, and the battery would sometimes be just awful. There were days when it would drain 1% on standby, and then days when it was like 5-7% on standby - which is pretty bad for not using the phone at all.
I finally gave up on non-nexus phones and got myself a gnex and its freaking awesome. On a typical day, i leave for work at 7, and get home at 3 with 70% left - with some use.
I switched back to my SGS2 to see if there was still a difference even when running a newer/better rom, and battery life still seems pretty bad. I was at my other job today, and my Gnex will usually drain 15% over 8 hours, today my SGS2 drained 70%
Is this normal? I have bbs and cpu spy installed, and will post results after work tomorrow if anyone is interested.
I was planning on giving this to my mom as her first smartphone (i thought the lower DPI would be better for her eyes), but now im thinking i should just sell this, and then use whatever i get to put towards a Gnex.
Next time man just post one thread regarding your questions and issue. No need to make one here and one in general. And to answer your question about battery life it depends what rom yer running and what apps u have installed. And I suppose how u use the phone as well, referring to whether u listen to tons of music or mainly for calling, either way good luck, happy flashing.

Identical everything with the exception that the SGS2 is AOKP, and the Gnex is paranoid android. When i installed AOKP on my SGS2, i literally sat there and made it so both phones look about identical - with the exception of rom specific things like the notification menu and stuff like that. Same apps, same settings, same homescreen setup, etc etc etc.
All things being equal - is the gnex that much better on battery life?

[Q] Average mA battery drain?

I thought perhaps someone would enlighten me on what the average mA battery drain SHOULD be...on my HD2 I aimed for 2-8mA on idle. I understand there's a battery saving sticky, I read through and did all the settings tweaks I could find and I get anywhere between 40-80mA drain on idle. I used to hack my HD2 a lot a looooong time ago (awesome phone, I miss it still) and I thought perhaps this is the new normal since I've been out of the game for so long and Android has upgraded massively since Gingerbread?
Also, I've only flashed my first rom...4.2.2 Slimbean. I've rebooted several times to let it settle...it used to be at 180mA but has now been reduced to 40-80mA. Thank you, friends, for your time to read my post!
