i first installed android on touchpad cm9 alpha 2. that was working fine. after that i installed ubuntu 11.10 that was also fine, triboot.
i wanted restored my device and i ran webos doctor 3.0.5 for my device(hp touchpad 32gb). after that it continued on looping hp logo. so i followed a tutorial on xda about restoring 32gb touchpad memory. i ran the commands everything gone fine(i used webosinstaller >tools>terminal) because novaterm is giving me and error "arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow".
so now it is jus hanged on hp logo. it can go to recovery with usb icon on screen. but webos doctor says we cannot recover your device at 8%.

any help? thanx
This has been discussed many times. A search of the forum should have found the answer. You MUST run ACMEUninstaller to remove Android prior to running webOS Doctor. You run ACMEUnistaller using the same method as you did ACMEInstaller except that you don't have to put any files in /cminstall.
edit: I haven't installed a triple boot yet, so I don't know if you need to remove Ubuntu or how to go about it if you do.
webos doctor
did you install ubuntu through android or did you install it through webos? did you meta doctor your touchpad at all and create any partitions on the internal storage? also, where did you download your webosdoctor from? did you get it from the hp site using your webos login? you might want to try novaterm using linux/ubuntu instead of windows.
one more question, do you get any bootloader when you start the TP, and can you still boot into your old webos install?
You tried the factory restoration tutorial?
Just before I start, what operating system do you have? I assume Windows 7 x64. Did you try the terminal in /Palm, Inc/terminal?

try to remove and then reinstall SEUS & PCC. you may have a usb driver problem and that`s why they don`t do nothing
edit: and no you don`t brick anything. it`s almost virtualy impossible to do so

I have a fried X10 at home that does the same thing. It'll go through the entire process with FlashTool but won't boot past the splash screen afterwards. PC Companion and SEUS both report a problem during flash and end up failing to complete.
In my case it's a hardware problem that the phone developed b4 there was even a rooting method available, hope you're not having the same issue.

have you tryed putting your phone in flashmode then checking seus
I had the same thing but luckily it was unbricked by pc companion update. Just click the repair phone option and give it a try.
Can't be 100% sure
Cheers
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
i think you must try to flash with SEUC /PcCOmpagnion there a lot of difference from 1.6 to 2.1, some drivers are changed... update your SEUS...
SEUS is the best tool, it can get many phones to work that PCC can't...
As someone said, try to remove SEUS, reboot the PC, and reinstall SEUS...
Alternative use a different computer...
It is actually hard to completely brick the phone without tampering with the bootloader or something like that...
4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42
solved : same problem
i had the same problem just before few hours while using the flash tool .26
i tried many ways nothing worked , but at the end i found one useful way , i downgrade it to 1.6 then update it through seus
just use this link and it will be solved
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=823115
don't worry it will work
start seus, then plug in the phone into usb and usb into the computer.
first press the middle and right buttons then push the power button
the green light shud now go on. let go of the centre and power buttons and voilla
no need to thank me just pay it forward lol
I've noticed that you have to install the first 2.1 update (.504) first before you can install any of the other 2.1 updates. Otherwise, I got the dreaded yellow triangle of not necessarily doom. Reflash back to 1.6 then update to the initial 2.1 firmware. Hope this helps.
the problem is solved.
i uninstalled the PCC and SEUS and installed them again and repiar it with PCC
hi there,
My phone is completely dead, and not start at all, I can't even see my Screen (LCD) light blinking even once.
Only when I press power, it vibrates, that's it.
I tried SEUS, and even SEUS downloaded 2.1, SE PC suite; SEUS choose Factory + Reset, then it fails; SE PC suite choose Phone Repair, still fails...
It fails every time.
So, I searched for XIOFUB.rar, extracted ---> get X10Flash_Unbrick, when flashing, I got the message INFO like:

And my X10 still the same, not start at all.
Please help!
Maybe find a way to charge the battery? I know seus wont do anything if you dont have at least 50% battery life. Are you able to plug your phone into the wall charger and get some battery life charged up?
If seus wont work for you, you can also download the flashtool and flash the firmware back to your phone.
my xperia has the same problem. Still looking for a solution
I think that's CPU or Flash memory problem. Contact service for solution.
I use WebDoctorOS to reinstall but it's stuck at 8%...This is what it did:

Have you tried running it in Windows? It shouldn't make any difference, but just to eliminate......
Yup.....Still no luck!!!
do you happen to have the same problem that a bunch of us in this thread have http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1483066 where the touchpad appears to be stuck in read only mode, hopefully you dont cos it doesnt look like there is a fix atm
I didn't parition the disk manually......I cannot use novaterm properly cuz I get this issue
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
So anytime I type something it shows me this ...
I can't even sent the touchpad to HP cuz I am not in US at the moment...
Found the solution...........
