Everybody here says the bootloader is locked and you have to flash derpunlock to unlock it. I did the same thing to the photon as i did to my xoom and it worked. Just go into fastboot type "fastboot oem unlock" then it will tell you it'll void your warranty and to continue type "fastboot oem unlock *******" the *'s being your unique id. And i just did the same process to a photon this past weekend

I kinda erks me too how they word it that it isn't unlocked, what everyone means that it's not fully manufacturer unlocked which results in broken 4g once the "bootloader unlock" is performed by us on the devices.
MoPhoACTV Initiative
But there is no need to flash derpunlock

There is a thread on unlocking here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216143
With the attached picture of what you're describing.

We already know we can unlock it. The reason why people say the bootloader isn't unlocked has to do with the fact that it isn't a true unlock because we lose 4g when we unlock it.

you want to unlock or revert to GB?
If your build was compatible it should work automagically.
but it will return error, just now I tried to unlock 1.36 which is NOT supported.
If you are trying to unlock the bootloader, you are really much better off using GLobatron's S-OFF HC install. S-OFF and unlock are not the same thing.
Hi,
check this...
http://android.modaco.com/topic/345...g-honeycomb-on-your-flyer-the-complete-guide/
14 .You are now in a state where you must unlock the bootloader using the HTC tools - visit http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader/ and follow the instructions (Flyer compatability isn't listed, but it'll work)

I recently bought a used Z2. I was told the bootloader was unlocked, before purchasing. I would like to confirm that, before doing anything to the device.

In your dialer app, dial: *#*#7378423#*#* then go to -service info -configuration.
rooting status should state:- bootloader unlocked: yes

Thanks! It does. I read an old thread that said something about that, but it said that it meant it could be, not that it was.
This is my first Sony device, differences I'm still learning.
Your bootloader is unlocked
Hi,
I have a friends Redmi 3S Prime. I've sent the unlock request but more than 2 days have passed now, no info from Xiaomi. I've tried to use their Unlock tool but it says "no permission".
I came a across an idea to run "fastboot oem unlock". After running that I get a weird screen asking me Yes or No.

I'm not sure if I can brick a phone this way, so I'm asking if I should proceed?
EDIT: I may have posted in a wrong forum, sorry for that.
Thanks in advance!
Wait for 8-12 more days, and check your account, if you don't receive the confirmation yet.
I didn't get any confirmation but my account has been allowed later.

hi.how did you got to that screen?
Starting to see this when I start the phone, and Android pay no longer works ?

Any thoughts? Not sure what's going on...
Edit:
My bad I read the message wrong, did you unlock the bootloader? Android pay not working is normal for an unlocked bootloader.
Although mine says "and cannot be trusted" not "and may not work properly"
Was it used? And assuming you didn't unlock the bootloader or buy it used in this state, I'd get in touch with Lenovo/Moto
I have the exact same error. There are pages and pages of occurrences on Lenovo's support forums. This is not user caused and has been happening to phones with no attempts to unlock the bootloader and/or root.
If you have a Verizon phone, there's a fix. For all others, needs to be sent out for a cable reflash. I would love it if someone came up with a fix so I don't have to send out my phone, but haven't seen anything yet.
Did you ever manage to get this fixed?
