Could anyone explain how to install pdroid on my ace?
I had a look in the original thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1357056).
But all patches there seemed to be for CM versions 7.1.
So will a patch from there also work on my CM7.2 Infinity Rom?
Or do I have to patch my own patch? Im not really getting the whole patching stuff somehow...
Thanks

Hello everyone
I have a question, as I noticed recently, that one of the nightly releases of CM 6.0 finally has the camera working.
But 2.2 roms that are to be found in the dev section have camera working for quite some time now. I'm confused, as I heard that froyd villain provided their work for CM.
So my question is - in 2.2 roms, is camera working by using 2.1 drivers or something ?
Just curious, that's all
cheers

Hi,
I can clarify this for you. FroydVillain and Cyanogenmod share fixes in both directions. Cyanogen fixed camera, and gave details of the fix to other devs (IIRC it involves specific files for each device). The fix involved 2.1 drivers, though the specifics evade me, but essentially yes.
FroydVillain was one of the first ROMs to include Cyanogen's camera fix as an update was being released anyway about that time.
But equally if someone fixes something in Froyd, they send it to Cyanogenmod to get fixed for other devices too (like how Revoked fixed the proxy implementation for CM6 for Froyd and sent fix upstream)
Hope that explains it. I don't know what the nightlies are built off, but the sharing means info moves about sometimes faster than via nightlies...
Hey everybody.
I've been testing PDroid which in my opinion is better than LBE, because it gives me more control of my privacy.
It's very easy, just point the Windows version to your rom and it makes two patches, a new one and a restore.
Then flash with CWM.
Flash the PDroid v1.27 file with CWM.
After just download the app from the market.

Big thanks to the dev svyat.
PDroid is great on Gingerbread. Can't wait for ICS support to be rolled out!
tried for like 5 hrs couldnt get pdroid on my touchpad... what rom are you using... im running xron cm7, an older rom because i havent bothered updating to the newer roms because im not sure which one i should choose...
so now that we have some CM 10's and AOKP and such's that mostly work.. has anyone tried patching in the PDroid stuff on any recent roms.
so does Viper Rom for ATT HOX+LTE work with using pdroid or opendroid?
i tried to no avail... really would like to know of an alternate program or solution to making this app work for my htc..
pls help?! thanks !!!!
awww. no help?
as long as pdroid isn't yet compatible with any OEM-skinned UI it won't work on any Sense ROM.... so try an AOSP ROM (like cyanogenmod or AOKP, ...) or ask the devs of your favoured ROM whether they can implement pdroid in their ROM or ask the devs related to pdroid whether it's possible to get pdroid running on your favoured ROM.
Hello,
I would like to patch the PowerJB for XGO ROM with OpenPDroid.
The Auto-Patcher works like a charm for everything i tried so far, except for this ROM.
I assumed since this seems to be an deodexed AOSP 4.1.2 ROM it should work, but I could not get it to...
Since I just recently joined the Android community, i might have misunderstood something, so :
-Is it possible to patch this ROM witch PDroid ?
-If not, why is it or what did i not understand?
Please help me so i do not feel stupid anymore
