I've been searching for the past hour, no idea what to do.
I'm trying to revert back to stock but when I try to flash the stock rom(s), CWM keeps giving me the E:Can't Open (bad) Installation aborted.
Tried clearing cache/wiping a million times.
The rom I'm trying to flash is the Tmobile_1.36.531.5_PH85IMG.zip
How would I install it using adb? I tried abd install -l Tmobile_1.36.531.5_PH85IMG.zip but gave me an invalid zip error.
Clearly, I have no idea what I'm doing. Help?
p.s. all the links to the stock roms point here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1335703 which is an invalid thread.
You cant flash a stock rom through recovery. Put it on sdcard as PD85IMG.zip and reboot into bootloader. It will do the rest.

I have sorta a unique situation. When i went to root and unlock my Atrix, I accidentally deleted my whole android OS. I figured out how to install the CherryBlur rom. That is what i am running on my phone now. I want to get back to the original firmware and have gingerbread. I am slightly familiar with RSD Lite. If anyone knowns whether or not it is possible to get back to stock android and firmware using RSD Lite, please leave a detailed step by step description. Thank you!

Yea what fleur said... Anyways you can go back to stock with MFBSR. Just make sure you have 100% battery, then follow the directions and you'll be back to stock!

Sorry, where is the ".bat" file? It is not in the folder from the download from MFBSR.
Can you see file extensions on your computer? Open the file and within the window select "Tools" and "Folder Options". Then select the "View" tab and scroll down and un-check the option to "Hide extensions for known file types"

Jeezus, I had to download the entire thing to tell you that it's the
"Moto-FB Stock Restore" File
It should have said "Windows Batch File" right next to it!
Thanks so much!
Nvm, i guess you solved it...

When i have to boot into fastboot, all i do it hold power and volume down button until it says fastboot and that is it? Or do i have to do that then press volume up to get to the "Starting fastboot protocol support"?
And also should i do this not connected to my computer and then connect it when i am in fastboot?
Yes, it should say "Starting fastboot protocol support" and I don't think it matters when you plug it in to start it, but most people usually "describe" the instructions as putting it into fastboot then plugging it in.

I just used this to try to get back to stock and now it is in a boot loop. It just keeps booting up until it gets to the Rethink Possible Att symbol and then doesn't do anything. After about 3 mins it reboots again and goes into the same thing. Any help?
Also, do i only run the file that says "Moto-FB Stock Restore" or do i run something after that?
Have you tried pulling the battery and rebooting?

So I was flashing a new rom in CWM on my AT&T Atrix 4G, unlocked bootloader, running CM10. I was going to flash CM9 because there was a bug in CM10, and when I went to wipe my dalvik cache, I hit the wrong menu option somehow and wiped an internal partition that must've been the one that CWM was on, so now I get the screen shown in the picture. Any ideas guys? Thx.

Nothing. The fastboot command line tool couldn't see my phone. I'm going to look for another guide. Maybe there's something I'm missing.

By the way, I just want to say I appreciate the help and the quick replies.
Found the drivers and successfully flashed RomRacers Recovery through Fastboot! Thanks guys! She lives!:victory:
It's odd though, I just flashed cm10 and I'm having frequent random reboots and the screen calibration is off.
It looks like the trick here is a pds partition fix. I'll give it a try tomorrow and report back.
The pds partition worked.

I am a RAZR user and have it all rooted and running great so I am fairly competent but a co-worker has the ATRIX and it was in a bootloop. I offered to help and find myself practically where you were except I have no OS on the phone and can not seem to get recovery on it.
Can you share where you found the right drivers, recovery, and a good OS? Basically I need someone to hold my hand through this because I do not have the time to keep looking for the right things since I have a kitchen remodel underway and a wife who....need I say more?
Thanks

I got exactly what you did. But even in fastboot mode I can't get out of this screen after flashing the recovery. Actually it does not get into CWM or another recovery but each time I Vol and Power Down it gets into this screen again. Looks like flashing does not help at all. If I select Boot Android it powers up in the last ROM I flashed before all this. The problem is that I cannot operate any soft button at the bottom: the screen looks not calibrated so I need to push on areas lower than actual buttons are, and I don't know how to get out of that either. No Back, neither Home or Search buttons are unreachable.
What can I do? How to reflash this phone?
If you activate the RSD mode you can flash your stock rom with RSDLite. There is a superthread with the original firmwares, you will lose root and unlock but it will restore completely your device
Good morning guys,
Im not even sure where to start because im just getting into programming. I just tried to root my HTC rezound last night, so I followed the tutorial to the letter. Everything went very well by all accounts, except after unlocking bootloader, pda net, installed superuser, but yet when I try to verify that I have root access the phone does not recognise the root. Does anyone have any ideas why this could be? Ill be more than happy to post whatever information you might need in helping me figure this little problem out.
Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure about a stock Rom, but I did a custom recovery and haven't touched s-on or s-off yet. I did unlock the bootloader and pda net using the walkthrough found at the htcdev.com /bootloader site. I don't know if I just need to find another walkthrough to finish the rooting process or if I'm way off here. The phone itself still works as good as ever so at least I didn't brick it. I feel like I'm close or at least on the right track.

pull your battery and re insert it.
hold vol down button and power until you get the white bootloader screen
The top should say unlocked in pink
if you have a custom recovery it will also say tampered in pink
since you are new and not sure, to continue we need to verify this
what does it say?

Ok so i screwed up with rooting my device and now I am getting the startup error where it just hangs at the bootmenu and says startup failed.
I AM AN IDIOT. OK, now that we have got that over with, the device is still locked and so is the bootloader. I tried unlocking it through Motorola's website guide but no avail. ((((((((bootloader) Check 'Allow OEM Unlock' in Developer Options.))))))))))))))) is what i got. -_-
I tried loading in zips using adb but i keep getting this e signature and e footer is wrong bs. I tried everything out there with resolving the signature issue but nothing worked.
I can't install TWRP or CWM through my sd card because it says E:access is denied.

reboot to bootloader (Or boot in your place) and navigate to factory mode and keep pressing the power button for about 20-30 times and then your phone will boot. Now select allow OEM unlock and unlock your bootloader and reflash the stock ROM or any other ROM you want. Good Luck!!

Did you notice that you can receive a code to unlock the device om the Motorola site?
They'll email you a code after you enter a code the phone produces. There are tutorials. If you've done this already, I apologize. But it's worth checking into if you overlooked it.

The issue is that he cannot get the code to unlock the device because he did not check "Allow OEM Unlock" in the Developer Options. Since he is unable to boot his device, he is unable to get to the menu to check that option.
