Maybe try with xrecovery to see if it can communicate with your phone??
Have you tried charging from a PC/Wall normally for half an hour ?
i had the same problem my solution was too: put in the wall charger for a half an hour(even if it dont wanna charg) and then i used SEUS(sony ericsson update service) i press the back button for like 4 minits or so when i connected the phone. and suddenly it whent flashing.
hope it helps you
somebody said to me it is the sony ericsson repair method.
[SOL]
1. Download Update Service From Sony Ericsson Website
2. Then , Follow the steps in update service
3. u Can Recovery phone in 2.1 Update
Dude i think you phone battery got deep-discharged....So all you have to do is to charge your phone by adapter charger (for at least 12 hours)...
Follow The Instructions Below-:
1.Connect The adapter to the phone...(don't try to switch it on,from anyways)
2.Let the phone Charge till 12 hours
3.Unplug the Charger and connect the phone with PC and use SEUS to Reinstall a fresh ROM.

been holding till my fingers strtd screaming , NO RESPONSE from phone.
remove battery and try reconnecting it (you should be able doing that witout removing any screw)
if no result disconnect it again and connect to an ac/dc adapter @3V for half an hour
pay attention to the polarity (+/-)
teardown instructions

reassemble and hopefully your problem will be solved

good luck and up for you
Try a Hardware reset first, then connect to System and via SEUS reset the phone to 2.1
Dude as i said you before try the below linked Thread...it might help...just give it a try.

For the further queries i'll be there for you....
I have exactly the same problem .. try a long time but nothing ...is dead...
Maybe you didn't have battery left to try to solve the problem and therefore it is always red without charging if there is a problem, if you connect the phone by usb to the computer and the phone doesn't start or charge then it really is a problem. Try to use the Sony Update Service, download it, then you just have to select your model on the program and it will tell you to press the Back Button on the phone and then connect it with usb (still holding the back button), this will bring the phone to it's original state (Stock Android) and back to life.

simply use SEUS to restore stock ROM and kernel.so long as your computer can recognise the device when connected .

i installed a custom rom, and it started losing power gradually even when it is connect to the computer. next day
it was like the condition rite now. you can see the red light, but the phone cannot boot, neither enter fastboot.
Try this: Not sure if it will work...
1) Just connect it to usb cable to pc... Leave it for few hrs..
2) Then open Sony PC Companion and try repair...
I Accidentaly bricked my gf acro s . Ended in bootloop and i did this.. It Worked.
try to charge with dock, it helped for me only acro s if it helped, please, hit thanks

Thanks,
I had a nasty problem, not charging with a new rom and not being able to fastboot etc, only a few seconds in recovery.
i searched my whole house for the acro-s dock, and plugged it in, then also plugged the usb on the phone to a pc usb port, don't know if that added some power, but this gave it enough power to instantly boot & charging... So now I can install a decent rom again.
hi all.
after flashing the F/W from a differnet xperia (P i think) to my XU :silly:
after a few mins shouting at myself, i let flashtool complete, then reflashed an official XU ftf.
After my fudge up the phone LCD, backlight, illumination bar dont work at all.
All i get is a red LED for 5Min when plugged into the mains
i get a red LED for 5-10Min when plugged into Laptop, no popup on laptop (connected device)
It seems as tho it doesnt want to charge but i luckily have another battery from a different model
BUT the strange thing is, if i tape a coin to the side of the phone either Vol+ or Vol- i get no green LED or blue LED just Red.
After 5-10min of my XU being plugged in fastboot or flashmode spring into life and i can flash an aray of things with SEUS or Flashtool, and can even lock and unlock my B/L. BUT After all of that nonsence the phone is still unusable.
Is there anyway out of this without sending device to sony??
Please Help XDA
here is the fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230098
donot forget to press thanx
Ok thanks for the info.
Now the phone is acting in another strange way. I've flashed the correct F/W then the wrong F/W in question then re flashed the correct F/W.
the red LED has gone out, still no LCD display and no illumination bar but im surprised to see it popup on my laptop in MTP Mode without USB debugging. Ive had xperia u, xperia P and XPlay for some time and have never experienced this.

yes the tochscreen, the actual LCD screen and ilkumimation bar are still not working
Dunno if it's working but you could try to flash GB to unbrick it..
Sent from my ST25i using xda app-developers app
Yah i forget this boint
You should flash gb not any fw but wrong fw(no problem if it's gb or ics)
Slowly getting there.
cheers guys i flashed to gb then ics. i still have same symptoms , only plus side is that instead of taking 5-10 min to register on either fastboot or flashmode (Still Red LED on both) it only takes a few seconds. Im thinking that having flashed the wrong F/W it may have "blew" the screen, digitizer and illumination bar
Take out battery. Charge with auto charger..put it on...it will vibrate.now flash

~Help~
I plugged in my phone to the wall charger (because my phones battery was low not dead..) and when i checked whether it had charged after about 30 mins.. My phone DIDN'T respond.. my notification LED was flashing (Which means that my phone wasnt dead.. I pulled out the battery and put it back in right away.. My phone didnt boot up.. :crying: i pulled out my battery a couple more times thinking that it was a lose battery fault or something but no.. A few hours later i tried searching online for help.. I read some posts which had been posted on XDA saying that if your phone is soft Bricked u have to flash a new kernel and etc... i tried to boot my phone into Flashmode, it didnt respond. Not even fastboot mode.. When i connect my phone to a USB cable.. the notification LED gives out a red light and after 10-15 mins it goes off.. Its been almost a week now.. And Yes i've unlocked my Bootloader and rooter my XPERIA U. If you guys know something that i could do to get my phone back up and running again.. please tell me.. thanks in advance

If it doesnt works...
Try wid a usb charger... connected to a laptop or so...
After this pull off the battery... keep it out for 10seconds or so..
Insert battery

I was using Unofficial_StockJB_XU_V6 :good:
I tried charging via a wall charger for about 7 hours now :silly:
i'll try to charge with a USB charger connected to my pc.. Fingers crossed.. BTW
How long should i charge it i mean.. Do i have to wait for a sign?
(Like, the red charging light from the notificaton LED)
(the Red LED just turns on when i plug in the Wall/ USB charger and goes off after 10-15 mins)
or would the phone turn on by itself?

Remove the battery and leave it that way for an hour and then press and hold the power button for 60 seconds (without the battery)
and then insert the battery and try to enter the flashmode and report you might get it if it is not hardbrick.
prepare the stock rom in flashtool before you try to enter the flashmode in your phone....:good:
