Ive tried researching this but I have came up empty handed. It appears once my screen is off google talk is logged out. How do I keep google talk always logged in?

I really hope this isnt a wide spread thing. I use Google talk heavily. I cant afford for it to disconnect upon my screen timing out. I havent used it since I activated my phone to test though.
Maybe check under the power saver option in settings. There is an option to turn off background data when the screen turns off. Maybe that's it?

I will try that setting out and report back

Just uncheck auto away status and it will stop logging out.

Is anyone else having an issue where google talk won't load for them? I touch the icon and it looks like it loads for a second then flashes back to the app drawer. I tried clearing the application data, didn't help, and of course I can't uninstall/reinstall

Yup, I have to restart the phone to get it working. I also notice that Restart does NOT restart the phone for me. It powers it down.

I have both of those exact same problems. Hopefully, the next software update will fix these issues.

Having a problem with the YouTube app

Ok so since like 4-5 weeks ago my YouTube app started acting up I open up the app then search the video I want to see and click it but as soon as I see the spinning circle for the video to load, BOOM! I see my 4g data logo dissapear and I only have bars so I loose signal and it always happens, bit as soon as I exit the app and load browser my data reappears but if I switch right back to the YouTube app I loose my signal.
Any ideas on what could be wrong?

uninstall the app. if you have root can you please reboot into recovery, clear dalvik. then boot the phone. it will take some time to start up this is normal. then re-install the app

(Q)about my camera if its normal or defectivr

Is this normal? I tried talking to rogers where i got the phone from and they said its really like that. It only happens whenever i take a picture with lights on the background. Its really annoying. I tried every settings and still no luck.

Red box on my screen.

Can anybody tell me why I'm getting this red box on my screen at random times when I'm flipping thru my home screens or in programs. Finally was able to get pic while playing a video and constantly touching the screen. Running ViperRez 1.0.3

Try wiping cache and dalvik in recovery and see if that helps. That tends to clear up most corruption.
I thought I saw something about that in the Viper thread but searching the thread for "border" or "red box" didn't come up with it, but you might try some searching in that thread.
I used to get lines on my lockscreen as well if I hadn't rebooted my phone in a while, a reboot fixed it every time.

[Q] Google Search very inconsistent

Just wondering if anyone else has this problem... sometimes when I load up Google Search (usually from the widget) it will just sit there and not do anything... the circle thing will spin, but no data will be coming through and nothing happens. I can restart the phone and it usually start working like normal, but eventually it will do it again. I've tried uninstalling updates, clearing cache, etc but it just seems to be a fact of life. Anyone have a solution to this? I don't want to always have to open Chrome to do Google searches honestly.
I don't know of a fix, but this happens to me as well from time to time.

Also happens to me. Thought it was a slow connection but happens on WiFi as well

I remember seeing it mentioned on Reddit awhile back and ozne commenter said that it is a service issue (with Google), and not the device.
Not sure if this is true or not.
