This looks pretty bad ass. Going to try it today and see, just another launcher option

Looks a little like SSLauncher

yeah, but it's also got that cool Windows Titanium option I didn't think ssLauncher had, I'm going to try both a lot today and see which one's better. Supposedly this thing is fast as hell

Good to know, I'll put this knowledge in the "could not go on with life without it" column. lol
Just bored at work haha...
Seriously, I looked at it, dl'ed it even though I thought it was really busy and confirmed it was really busy. To each their own I guess. I am a kinda minimalistic person on my electronics though. My PC has a simple image wallpaper and three icons on it and it all rest on a 30" monitor haha.
I'm on adw launcher ex with the hidden dock and hidden status bar its the only thing on my screen and it looks awesome
I am going to retract my previous post, kinda. I played with the colors some and actually got a pretty cool kaleidoscope. I'll still not use it lol but it is pretty cool. Prob throw it on when I am showing my phone off or something.
That's all its really good for anyway but the more you mess with it the more your going to like it

want miui on your nook?

do you want miui on your nook? well youll either have to beg the makers of miui to make a version for the nook or make their rom opensource (i dont see that happening) or install a modified version of adw to look and act exactly like miui. its called miui.adw launcher and is a home replacement app. you can find it in the market here, http://market.android.com/details?id=org.adw.launcher.miui it may cost a few bucks but if you love miui then i might be worth it. enjoy!

From what I hear people hate miui or they love it. I for one love it... or at least the apps. The music app is the best I've seen, the contacts app is the best I've seen, the dialer is the best, lockscreen, everything. I think it's best designed mod/theme/rom for Android that there is. Might not be the most powerful, but definitely the sexiest and I'd love to have it with dalingrin's 1.3GHz overclock under the hood!

iPad? I think it looks more like touch wiz... but that's really only the launcher. I don't think it looks very iPhoney except the launcher. But I always install launcher pro anyways
But this is just all in my own opinion, I'm not attacking anyone, so I hope no one attacks me

Which can be changed using Launcher Pro. And like I said, what I really like about Miui is the apps. Stock Android is ugly... but it gets the job done
If MIUI was just an iPhone-like launcher, it wouldn't be of much value.
What is sweet is the myriad of little details, when using third-party applications, that improve their look and feel.
I'm not sure why people like MIUI so much, I tried it on my phone and it was horrible.
I also don't get the iPhone look, seems very pointless if you're on an Android phone.
iphone sux. Ask anyone who's owned one for a few months. If they still like it, they're wrong, they just don't know themselves as well as they thought!
MIUI is a fascinating way to make an android suck too! Lol jk miui peeps.
But no crap, the MIUI apps are sooo slick. But u don't need miui to get em. The miui music player is in most of the roms I use on epic and hero.
So u CAN enjoy the sexy goodness of that music app and a few of the others, without iCRAPing all over ur desktop.

I like some of the features MIUI has, such as the built in theme chooser, the text popup and how the settings panel works...it looks much cleaner and is far more customizable to an end user than regular andoid.
I would love MIUI on the nook.
MIUI may be Apple-ish but it adds a number of things that's missing in Android.
It adds some needed polish. Gingerbread is better. Honeycomb is much better.
With that said I gave MIUI up after using it for weeks. I like my phones to work.
MIUI could be interesting on the Nook, This ADW theme however is not.

Not really :/
Yeah, that would be pretty nice.
Man this launcher really is slow on wildfire.
This one is not meant for Wildfire....required lots of Graphics processing ...
Looks quite nice, but very gimmicky. Would probably end up disabling the animations and such to get to apps faster.
Yeah, I mean, these animations are nice and all, but after a week or so you`d be bored of them and just disable them all in order to access stuff faster.

[New Lanucher] TSF Shell

I was on the Market and I came across this new launcher. The video is unreal. The price is crazy @$17, especially with a number of the functions in the video not working at the moment. I just wanted to see if anyone was willing to give this a try, and if they were able to get it to work on the Atrix. I sent the dev an e-mail to ask if it is compatible. I have read that there are numerous amounts of FCs associated with this launcher.
At any rate, take a look at this video.
Here is a link to the Android Market --> TSF Shell in the Android Market
I honestly think it looks hideous. Nothing special just a different way of switching screens and a couple of widgets.
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk
Who the hell is going to pay $17 for a launcher?
The launcher loads ok but gives fcs along the way, motion is VERY smooth! Music and memo widgets market says are not compatible. It has great potential but indeed the price will hold most ppl back from buying it.
this looks like it might be from the guys who made bumptop for the windows desktop
here is the youtube link to the desktop software

I had a hard time giving $15 for shell, but i did, I'm not giving that much for a launcher ever again! Just not worth it compared to the excellent cheaper launchers and the free launchers that are out there.
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
Haha 17$? For a launcher? What are you smoking?
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
To expensive to buy, IMO..I don't know why the sell that too expensive, an people may think: "well is their app, they may ask whatever they want" but for example SPB Shell, $15 and a 100,000 downloads, if they drop their price to $5 they may need to sell 3 times to reach their goal, but for a luncher like that they may do it quickly because lots of users wants to give a try.
$17 dollars? No way.

This launcher is absolutely freaking amazing!
It is the first launcher ever for Android, and I am not exaggerating, that has iPhone kind of smoothness.
The irony is that this launcher has all those fancy 3D transitions and animations and it's still absolutely perfectly silky smooth throughout.
While simple basic launchers like ADW or LP still get laggy around the edges at times.
This just goes to show that we don't need epic new quad core hardware for our phones, we need devs that know how to optimize for the hardware we already have.
Tegra 2 is more than enough to run anything currently on Android without issues.
Kudos to the devs for the professionalism and their hard work. This really is an amazing smoothest-ever launcher.

Can't you select the icons you want arranged and create a grid...in the video it looks like you can resize a box with your icons in it.

[APP] Apex Launcher

Just wanted to share this with everyone. Nice alternative to Nova Launcher, there's the option to hide apps w/o paying for the app (for now). There are a few hiccups here and there, but generally I must say it is considerably smoother than Nova overall. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1452663
Is the link to the thread, I take no credit for this app, just sharing. Enjoy!

I had seen this one before but for some reason never downloaded it. Don't know what was holding me back. Hmm. Oh well. Thanks for the recommendation. Gonna play around with it for a while and see if it can take down Nova as my launcher of choice.
The appdrawer is considerably smoother than nova, as well as the home screen. There are some nice featues on this launcher for sure, and the hide apps. I already bought nova before I saw the update, but oh well $4 is just $4 . There is some lag in the widgets section with some transitions, but I'm sure the dev will fix it eventually.

I was just about to edit my post and say that the scrolling is noticeably smoother. I'm diggin this one. Plus the Apex Menu is a nice touch since I have Swipe Down to show that menu. I can then change my wallpaper or add a widget from there. Don't know why, but long pressing to add a widget annoys me lol and I never really use the in-drawer widget selector as much as I thought I would. I paid for Nova, too, but don't really mind since I did it more to help the dev out.
Again, thanks for the rec! This is nice
EDIT: Oh, and the infinite scroll in the app drawer...biiiiig bonus for me.
I really am digging the double tap to bring up the menu. But I can confirm it's just the software, friends Gnex also has the same lag that I do.
This launcher is really nice. I think it might take down Nova after all. It has what I need on the phone. Gonna keep an eye on that thread and might start using it on my Prime soon, too.

Yeah I already took down Nova and uninstalled. Hopefully it'll be smoother in the future, but the homescreens and the app drawer with no lag, with all the features Apex = win. I'm pretty stoked for the new Prime that's coming out, thinking about picking it up.

Oh yes. Have a 64gb Prime in Grey. It's beautiful and so damn smooth. Ordered it in November, got it in Feb.
EDIT: Also, if GPS isn't a concern for you, I would purchase a Prime now. The next one will just have the GPS fix and a better resolution screen, but it would be hard to tell the upgrade in screen on a screen this small. I don't use GPS on my Prime, so this thing is perfect for me.

Yeah, my wifi was never an issue for me, but my GPS will only work if I'm standing still. I just don't use it anyway, so it's no concern to me and the $100 extra isn't enough to make me want the slightly better screen. I think that one is supposed to be out late this year. Then again, that's what ASUS said about this Prime and it took almost 4 months for me to get mine. Hopefully they learned their lesson and you can actually get it when you order it.

Apex Launcher is sweet. I had to change my minimum scrolling time from zero to like 7 to get it scroll quickly though.
On a side note. Does anyone know if Anddoes will fix Fancy Widgets to fit our Rezound screens correctly? The flip clock doesn't size correctly on our devices.

Not too sure if they resized the widgets. But yeah If ind that if the timer is at 0 the desktop seems kinda laggy. I wonder the fps of both launchers on the home screen when it comes to scrolling through screens. ICS claims it has it up to 60.. but it seems like it's 30 fps, that or my eyes are just too picky . Hopefully the developer will address the issues w/ homescreen smoothness.
