1500 mAH is the biggest slim battery to get..but users state no real benefit from the 1300 or 1350mAH. I am would buy what ever is cheaper since I dont really think any are better...it is how you take care of the battery by fully discharging before charging, etc..

Actually lithium-ions do not like to be fully discharged before charging. Charge as often as you can.

I read that before but I still get better usage if I fully discharge...there is no memory but per daily use if I charge from dead it just lasts longer.
thanks for the tip on the extended mega-battery, wpbear.
i'm going to give it a shot.
with football season approaching, i like the idea of having a super power battery for those looooong days of college football.
Whats a good place to just get a OEM replacement battery that isnt going to charge me $40 like an AT&T store?
U should be able to find a competative variety on EBAY. That's where I find a lot of accessories..
I really like the Sedio brand, 1500mah slim batteries, have 2, fit perfect and work well.

Given that batteries have been exploding all over the place, there definitely is something that could go wrong 8(
FYI I got two Anker (1900mAh) off Amazon yesterday. It fits and works but a few times today the battery icon shows a ? and the settings show -1%. After about a minute the correct % comes back, not sure if it's the batteries or just this one. I'll try the second one tomorrow.
Really interested to get an opinion on battery life with the Anker batteries.
I am probably going to end up using them as backups, both of them take time before the % of power left will display. I never got the full 5 discharge/recharge done on one of them, but even without that it was lasting longer then the stock, as it should. I see someone else ordered some too, I'll be interested to see if those have the display issue.

Can you give any indication of how much more than stock you would say they last? Is it the near 20% as it should be?
I also get the question mark on the battery, It seems to be when the phone wakes up or when I plug it in it takes a few seconds to find the juice amount then it will start charging..
The battery is lightly taller then stock but it fits perfectly inside of the phone case. Tobad about the battery meter. Im going to run it for the day see if the ? will stop.
I would advise not to buy yet.
i too have the "?" on grey market batteries
i have bought several grey market batteries and get the question mark also, i've noticed these batteries are 3.7v and the oem battery is 3.8, i wonder if that is the culprit? I am hoping these hong kong manufacturers will get it right soon, i did find an oem battery for about $23 after shipping and am contemplating buying it, and yes my chargers don't fully charge my oem battery either, its always at 91 or 93%

Seriously; I have 2 "High-Capacity Gold Batteries", 1930 mAh, for my Titan.
When plugged in they show either 255% or -1% charge, never go back to normal.
When unplugged, they never show 100% charge, maximum of about 94%.
They seem to last about the same as the stock battery...
Hi, you have to full restore your HTC Titan (Backup recommended) if you get a new battery pack! I guess it indicates what the specs are in the battery. I know this because I bought a new battery pack and I had this problem! So I full restored my phone and now it's fine!
sorry to bother you guys but i was wondering which battery has the most durable time on a heavy user. i got the ankers battery and i feel like its not doing anything that the stock one does, i actually feel the anker one waste more quicker than the stock one. can any one point out a actually reliable battery because i have to charge my phone like twice a day sometimes even three. please help and thanks in advance

Here's a thread for AceSoft batteries:

Hopefully it has the info you're looking for.
I haven't read through it because I don't have and won't get the AceSoft.
There is also the Seido 1900mAh battery. It's a bit expensive, but works well for me.

Ya read that a few times over the past couple of weeks, unfortunately it doesn't provide too much info.
clearly its anker in my opinion, great on the sensation and just as good on the amaze. Doesn't stay at 100% as long as it did on the sensation but overall same results (anker 1900 6 months use zero flaws)

I honestly think htc did something different with the software, the battery life on the amaze (with the anker battery) is horrible compared to the sensation, when i had the sensation i was easily getting 18 to 20+ hours, on the amaze i'll be lucky to get 12 hours. Doesn't really bother me as I can easily make it through the day.
I would stick to very reputable vendors for batteries. I learned the hard way on my last phone (HTC Nexus One) that the new phones have a chip in the battery that the phone interacts with to manage power. Not all the "discount" batteries have a fully functional chip and that causes issues. Also many of the replacement batteries didn't actually provide the rated capacity. Here is one thread on the capacity testing.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=649770
Definitely worth researching replacement battery purchases.
I kno wand understand that a million threads on batteries already exist, however I wanted to be as specific as possible and see what you all can recommend.
I'm looking for a batter that's between 2000-2300mah and that will work with the standard charger/USB cable, and not cause my phone to go into SOD or boot loops, and that has NFC capabilities just as the stock standard battery does
Also I'd like this battery to be ~$50 or less
and above all it's be very nice if it fits into the phone without any modifications and or having to replace the back cover with another one.
I'm sure such a battery has to exist, just haven't seen it yet.
Please help me on my quest.
Thanks!
I've been looking for the same thing. Only difference is I couldn't care less about it having an NFC chip or not.
Thank you.
Only one i can think of would be the Korean official extended. But like the thread says the back has to be modded
I will let you know if the battery I bought on ebay works. I asked the seller for specifications. I will let you know.

I freeze Gmail with titanyum backup pro. Do not remember if did anything else but today I have used 17h7m43s on battery and still has 64%. Huge increment of battery life detected!
i will keep this settings backed up with tytanium backup just incase.

Those settings seem a little too aggressive for my taste. I use gmail quite a bit and I also like that the network finds my location rather than the GPS. I'm hardly ever on wi-fi and I have automatic sync going every 3hrs I think.
My phone lasts about 16-20hrs on average. and I'm ok with that, just would like better results as I'm seeing some pull about 2days of life out of their devices.

It turned out to be a 1450 battery... I have info on my thread about it, be carefull with 2000+ batteries as chinnese make cheap stuff.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Sgh-i777
Hello
So my GS2's battery was seriously getting crappy, and I ordered a new original battery (more expensive, but I really wanted it to work properly). Before the replacement, it was all over the place, and I think I may very well have a phone that's seriously confused about its battery options.
Thing is, after the replacement the phone isn't charging the new battery properly (AFAICT). If I'd have to venture a guess, I'd say it charges it to 33% and then it states 100% full.
So, I get just a handful of hours of regular on-time with this new battery. Sometimes the phone hard-dies when saying about 50% remaining, other times it actually says something like 2% remaining, then dies, but still awfully far from logical, considering the fresh battery replacement.
I've searched for how to calibrate this thing, and most results simply recommend the "fully deplete, then fully charge, extract, reinsert, etc." method.
However, this does nothing to help me.
I read somewhere that for some custom ROMs (Dorimanx kernel?) you could do a more "explicit" recalibration, but I'm not sure if that'd work — as I'm on ParanoidAndroid ATM, and here I don't have such option.
So... Does anyone here know of any more "legitimate" way of recalibrating? I really don't want to buy a new phone, as these days I don't see any phone I really want to buy...
TIA,
Daniel
new batteries require a few charge discharge cycles before they reach max capacity, you may need to leave it on charge for longer than the "charged" info appears.

Thanks, Sparks, but I've already done this many times. I've had the battery for a couple of months now, but I really need to figure out how to calibrate the phone so that it starts behaving "normally" with my new battery...
Let it die, juice it up while it's off, take the batt for 90 sec when it hits 100% and put it back in?

No. The whole 'calibrate the battery thing' (and the apps that claim to do it) on the S2 is Kool Aid.

Something definitely needs calibration, and yes, of course it's not the battery itself when buying a fresh original battery does not fix one's battery problems, it must be some battery controller somewhere. I just started a new job, and my CEO has a Galaxy S3 which started having battery troubles. Like me, he replaced the battery, and like me, nothing changed.
In the meantime, my S2 died completely, so problem "solved" I kinda feel retarded for planning on buying a Note 3... Probably ought to run from Samsung devices altogether...
