Application Level Volume Control - Optimus One, P500, V General

I am searching for an app that will permit independent volume control for apps. For example, I would like to be able to fine tune the output from a music player from a navigation app. What I am encountering is a low volume output from TuneIn Pro, and a quite loud output from Waze. I would like to balance those out, so that when I an listening to internet radio, then interrupted with directions from Waze, I'm not blasted out of the car.
Suggestions are most welcome. Thanks.

Weak sound when using headset!

I have experienced a weak sound during listening music thru audio manager. I wonder if there is any way like modifying Audiopara3.csv in Touch Diamond. Please help.
Can't say the same really. I've been using the HTC bluetooth headset with no volume issues. Haven't yet tried the supplied wired headset.
Same question here... The sound on my Rose is extremely weak as well, e.g. it is impossible to listen to podcasts in a train. Is there no way to change this ??
Just a thought, though I'm sure that this is obvious enough so that you guys probably already tried it: turn up the system volume with the two buttons on the left side of the device.
.-ombre-.
i have the same problem over here, i have been told that this could have to do with european regulations. Something with the amount of decibels allowed.
There is a audio boost option in the menu but with a bluetooth headset this option does not work.
If there is a solution to this problem i would be happy to learn about it
Does it sound any better using media player? I think media player has a better sound but audio manager has an equaliser. Try using that to boost the sound.
AVE...
Use Pocket Player.
While using select: Menu>More>Options>Advanced and check "Use and set device volume". Then press on the side of Rose Volume Down button once and Volume Up button to max volume. This will double max volume.
BTW, for podcasts and audiobooks Pocket Player is the best, because it can autoresume last played file to exact point. I use it all the time because all my audiobooks are chopped into 30 minutes long MP3's. Neither AudioManager nor WMP can do it.
My solution was to change the profile to Outdoors and then edit the volume in this profile to loud. It works a lot better.
However I have Pocket Player installed and Urgon's solution works like a charm. Thanks man !

Podcast/media players and headset controls

I listen to alot of podcasts (using either BeyondPod or Pocket Casts), and would like to control playback using headset remote controls - e.g. the play/pause button on a Sony MW-600 bluetooth remote, or the same on a Klipsch S4A headset. The problem is that headset controls like these usually fire up the default media player (PlayerPro in my case), rather than controlling the Podcast player (e.g. BeyondPod).
I could theoretically configure BeyondPod to use the standard Android media player instead of its built-in media player, but then I would lose the enormous benefit of it remembering where I left off when I pause a Podcast at the end of a journey.
Has anyone here worked out a good way of controlling a Podcast player using a headset remote?
Doesn't have PlayerPro an option to disable headset interaction?
In PowerAMP for example you can toggle if you want to handle handset commands or not, giving the chance to be handled by another app.

Yes I've discovered the option in PlayerPro to disable the headset control. Now I can control the volume using the headset controls in BeyondPod, but none of the other buttons are functional (on either the Sony MW-600 or the Klipsch S4A).
Has anyone here managed to get headset playback controls with BeyondPod?
Disconnecting audio controls from default music app
Hi,
I use my bluetooth headset mostly for listening to Audible and Google Listen.
Media controls automatically invoke default music player, and control it. Only volume controls work in other players.
Is there a way to associate a different player with the bluetooth media controls (stop/start/skip)?
I am using hydrog3n ICS on a Galaxy Sii, but I believe this is a generic issue.

[Q] Volume control and Endomondo (strange problem)

I'n on stock. Android 2.3.4 - Atrix (european model).
I've met the following (very strange) problem when using Endomondo.
[Endomondo is a sport tracker and has a coach assistant that tells you the time and distance. Furthermore, before starting the workout you can start the phone music player by pushing a button in Endo's main screen.]
The problem is this:
1) If I use the default music player (which is internally called Connected Music Player - CMP.apk), when the time comes for the annunciation (lap time) both music and the audio coach are muted.
I can see that, during the coach notification, the phone volume is automatically changed to zero. After the (inaudible) annunciation the volume comes back to normal.
But using alternative music players things change.
2) Poweramp (trial): I can hear the coach notification. The music is completely muted during the announcement. Music's volume resumes after that. The problem is that Poweramp is not recognized as an alternative music player and I can't set it as the music player started by the Endomondo app music button.
3) musiXmatch (free): It works as I think Endomondo devs intended a music player to work. The music is not completely muted during the announcement but its volume is reduced so that it stays in the background during the coach notification, that is so clearly audible. The music volume comes back to normal after the notification.
After installing it, launching Endomondo and pressing its music button I had a dialogue box asking which music player to use (the default one or the newly installed musiXmatch). I chose the latter one and checked the "always do that" option. So everything is fine with this music player.
It seems that the problem is on the way Endomondo access the phone volume and how it affects both the music player (in the cases 1 and 2) and the coach's voice.
My question: does anybody know if there is there some (hidden) android setting that can fix this issue?
I'll up! your post as I use the same pair of apps, i.e. endomondo (pro) + power amp (full) both latest versions, but came across one more issue in addition to yours, maybe someone could help
I'm on leedroid GB running on htc evo3d gsm and found out that audio trainer behaves in a strange way: the initial sequence "prepare to start, free your endorphins" is the same volume level as poweramp music, but during interval comments (every 1km) music from poweramp gets much louder, as if endomondo caused music app to play at that high level. Don't know which setting might cause this. Endomondo is rather obscure when it comes to audio options, while poweramp just overwhelmes me
I'd buy a beer if there was someone who might answer your problem as well as mine..
well, Id like to know whether endomondo recognizes songs played by poweramp?

LGOG Running DVHexer's CM 10.1, Bluetooth volume issue

I'm having some issues with my bluetooth volumes and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas to help. Specifically when I pair my phone with my car's stereo for turn by turn directions using Google Nav and then listen to music using play music the directions get blown out by the music. The music volume does decrease while the turn by turn voice speaks, but the voice nav is so much quieter than the music. Is there anyway I can increase the Nav volume independently from the music? How about a music app I can adjust the volume of the app itself? Thanks in advance!

Volume differences between bluetooth and aux output.

I'm the kind of person who likes to use my phone as a GPS. Google's free navigation used to be a selling point for the OS, but it currently has some issues. Prior to Android 2.3, there used to be separate volume levels for media and navigation. However, these got combined into media so you can no longer tweak your navigation volume independent of your music. The end result is that the only way to make navigation audible in the car is to have the stereo volume at a level that would cause the music volume to bother many people (I usually drive with two toddlers in my car).
But there's another thing that I noticed. Switching between bluetooth output to line output (the car's AUX input) has an effect on volume, but not one that makes sense. Music played through Google Music (and other media players, including PowerAMP) is louder over bluetooth. I have to have the volume at 2 bars in my Fusion on Bluetooth to match the music volume set at 4 bars on line out. But here's the weird thing, navigation volume is not effected. It sounds the same on both, meaning that it suddenly becomes audible on line out.
Android is doing something weird where it amplifies music over bluetooth, but not other sounds. Anyone have any ideas on how to alter this? As it stands, bluetooth is more convenient, but it makes turn-by-turn navigation more difficult.
