Does anyone know of a SMS replacement app (like Gosms pro or handcent or chomp) that does NOT have a "full internet access" privilege? I found "SMS classic view" but that's not really a viable replacement.
and how do you suppose the app to send it's messages if it isn't allowed to use the internet?

SMS does not use internet.
I don't know any, but you could use a firewall to block the internet access of your SMS app.
SMS don't need internet, but SMS replacements do.
Thanks for answering and sorry, I wasn't entirely clear. My stock (Sony Ericsson Neo) sms application kinda sucks so I'm looking for a faster alternative.
I just want to send regular SMS - that doesn't need internet. What I don't like is that most of these sms replacement apps can both read my contacts and access internet. I understand the "read contacts" and "read sms" and similar permissions but internet is not needed.
My phone is not rooted so I can't use firewall.

For additional features, maybe, but why would they need it for just sending and receiving SMS messages?
I don't think there are any alternatives out there that don't use internet. Most of the more popular ones probably use it for themes mainly I'd say.

You sound like a prime candidate for LBE Privacy. You can specify exactly what permissions each individual app has, so you could use any SMS app you like and just turn off internet access. If the app still works, win!

There are very few options for few. It's very possible that there's an SMS app that doesn't need internet but it must be hard to find.
Here are your options,
LBE Privacy Guard like mentioned by John. (Similar to UAC in Win7)
DroidWall or any firewall.
CM7.1 (Supports denying permissions to apps.)
PermBlocker.
Of course, all above options require you to be rooted.
There's an alternative if you don't have root or you don't want to root.
You must first download the app to phone or PC and obtain the apk file. Then, you can get an apk editor and modify the manifest xml to omit the internet access. Afterwards, you can install the modified apk.
LBE needs root I think.

I'm also in paranoia mode since I discovered that each time I start 'GO SMS' it connects to .cn servers...
But:
- I've seen the LBE needs full internet access why ?!?!

is there any application similar to the Mobisophy Interactive Voice Call Master from the Symbian on Android?
I regret there is no any advanced voice blocker which could compete this Symbian app.
I need to block private calls but not just hang up. I want to make program answer and play my voice, example "if you want to talk with me, show up your number or leave message after signal". I can't find any app which allows this.
I badly need an app which will not save any call logs of certain numbers. I've looked onto many. But most of them doesn't work & if some of them work, they also keep sms in that app's particular way. However, I don't need that. I need an app that will simply won't store (or keep privet so that it won't show up on Android's default log) any call logs of that particular number! So far, I've found NQ Mobile Manager works perfectly for me but that also keeps the sms's in privet space & there is no option to exclude sms.
Summary: I don't want my mom seeing I talked with my gf

like the title says, because i had just finished using Call Control's Call Blocker Pro app free for a year when i left a review and submitted to them via FB. Are there any apps of the kind you guys would recommend that is just as great as Call Control with no root required? There are too many to choose from, idk what's the supposed "really good one".
Have a look at Tasker. It's MASSIVE and will do a tonne of things more than block calls, but you can set it to block calls not in your contact list, block hidden numbers or block specific contacts.
For example, I have a contact called "Ignore Me" and Tasker is set to block all calls from that user. Whenever I get a call from a new number I want blocked I just add it as another number to that contact and I never get any more calls.
I've tried many call blockers but Tasker is the only one that has given me all I asked for, plus it can do soooooo much more!

that looks great and all, but i want something that specifically and simply blocks calls/sms as good as Call Control does...without the use of root

I have checked few call blockers from Play Store, but have no success with them. I am looking for challenge-response call blocker. I want to get same functionality for mobile calls as for emails... If caller is not on black list... and also not on white list (address book)... he receive customizable sms message and have to reply with his name, purpose of the call, etc. then he appears on temporal white list and can be approved for black/white list after having conversation...
Is such app available in Play Store? Is it somewhere in development or nobody believes in challenge-response system anymore?
