MY official Facebook App sucks ! Takes a lot of time to load . So i uninstalled the update.Currently i need an app for chatting purpose.Need a the "INVISIBLE" Feature , so that i can chat with selected members. Tried a few like "Go!Chat, IMO, Facebook Messenger .etc ! Liked a few but everything lagged the "INVISIBLE" feature.Please Help me out ! Need it urgently

Does the facebook push (version 1.5.1) work on any rom.
Because the push function needs 2.2. So it cant work on the stock
But i tried a lot of roms and it doesnt work on any of them.
So if somebody has experience or knows how to get it work pls tell me
iPhone, BlackBerry and all phones support push so why not ours

I've had same issue with facebook. Its absolutely rubbish.
I set facebook to send me emails to my gmail account (with an appropriate label and filters to keep them seperate). When facebook gets an update it emails me and then gmail pushes it to my phone. Its awkward but the only way I can get it to work, every once in a while oddly enough I do get a facebook push notification - but its completely random and on about 1percent of messages.
Google+ works tremendously well however so I assume it's facebook being rubbish. Just need more friends to move over to google+ then I can wave bye bye to facebook.

It worked for me.. But I felt it annoying so I turned off facebook sync

Thanks a lot for your Reply.But i am not yet satisfied Still not being able to go "INVISIBLE" There is an option called "Show offline" but that doesn't work.Tried it in my Friend's phone still the same problem ! Seems that it is X10 mini 's error !
Need an app urgently . Please do help .

If you need only one for chat, not to browse on Facebook, try yuilop. Its a messenger like whatsupp + facebook chat+ free sms+ free calls (not in all country's yet) and if you need a replacement for the Facebook app i suggest:
faster for facebook. It`s still beta but already way better then the facebook.apk

I have exictenz 6.3.5 rom and now my Facebook is not working as it should
I can open messenger app through Facebook and in app launcher but I can't open conversations then the app crashes.
I have tried clearing cash, reinstall, erase data, but nothing helps.
The only way I can access the conversations Is to open messenger, long press conversation then chat bubbles.
Please help someone!

Why not simply use messenger and use it for sending messages instead of using the Facebook one?
This happens probably because of the fact that Facebook in the last few updates doesn't use the messenger app, it uses the built in messenger.
It is the built in messenger app I mean!
It opens ok but when I try to open a conversation rhe app crashes!

Welp, I can't really help you, since I haven't faced anything like that. I can only suggest using the messenger app
It's not an existenz's rom problem but a general one. I faced this issue on another phone too buddy. I also took a look into the ratings and reviews of the messenger's app and other users report the same issue. I had no problem with the previous version of the messenger app. Clearing the data won't help neither.
So the only thing to do is to wait the new messenger's version
I had an issue and I wanted to download certain chats from facebook messenger to my mobile but I couldn't find any way to do this I found some apps but they were useless or outdated. so I thought if someone could make a module to automatically backup facebook messages to SD Card or Drive (any cloud in general) like WhatsApp. please if someone intersted or able to do it, it would be a great help.
