I can enter download mode but it won't show up in odin, which is because (what I think) I never turned on usb debugging I know it's a rookie mistake, but I'm in a pinch now. Any ideas?
debugging has nothing to do with it, reinstall the samsung drivers

before I root my vibrant, If I connect my phone to PC(NO debugging mode), it was working as mass storage.
After rooted, It has to be debugging mode all the time, whenever I try to access to mass storage of my phone.
If no debugging mode, it only charge my phone.
So I thought, It will work if I do unroot my phone.
So I finally unroot my phone!(No more Superuser and try to use quickboot and asking my to root my phone.)
But still it only charging my phone without debugging mode.
The problem with the debugging mode is, if the samsung android driver is not installed, it won't reconize the phone. I use my phone as memory stick a lot of times. So I usually connect to my phone a lots of different computer.
So I want to be able to connect my phone using as mass storage with no driver needed.
Is there any possible way to fix this problem???

I noticed that on stock LG firmware the USB Debugging option is turned off automatically whenever I reboot the device.
Is there any way to make the USB Debugging option stay on after the reboot?

if i remember correctly thats supposed to happen and i dont think theres a way around it. usb debugging stays on for custom roms though
in settings debuging enabled, but when i connect to computer debugging logo does not show. Just usb logo appear. I tryed manage/device manager/... and automatically find drivers but that too not worked. Then i found kies and drivers was installed, but still debugging logo doesent show... I using laptop, but i too tryed on box, both debugging anyway not working (no logo). Please help me, i need to root my phone. android 2.3.4

Is the option for it to be shown checked?

That does not matter. Some roms, usually stock, do not show the USB debugging symbol when connected to the PC (even though it is activated).
I started rooting without activating the usb debugging option! then it froze after the 1st step (downgrading) and I unplugged the cord...download happening , uploading then asking to enable usb debug.
once i unplugged the phone, its black. its samsung S2 phone. any help on this is appreciated.
Does it boot into recovery or download mode? Or is it completely dead?
Hello, I need help to activate USB debugging mode. I don't know why I don't have the option. I mean, I have turned on the developer options, also I have turned on the USB debugging mode. The problem is that whenever I plug my phone I only receive the MTP mode, not debugging mode. I was in fulmics 7.5 rom and thought that was the problem, but I returned to stock 10B and nothing.
