I bought this off ebay and it does not work.
It is just a basic 5 pin adapter, what is the issue?
I hate to bump like this but does anyone have a working OTG adapter? If so can you send me a link to where you bought yours?

This one works fine on my Note.

What are you trying to do with it? Also, sometimes eBay sellers are not the most honest. Hope it was cheap.
I bought this one:

It works for what I needed it to--connect an external keyboard.

I bought the HDMI MHL Adapter from Monoprice, great price and stuff, but it doesn't seem to work right. For one the power cord doesn't fit good in the HDMI MHL Adapter, it seems like it can't go in far enough to snap and hold so it falls out a lot. Also it took many tries of unplugging and plugging in the phone to get it to work with it. It also has frozen my phone quite a few times, especially if I have the HDMI MHL Adapter hooked up and someone tries to call me. I bought this phone because I wanted to be able to play my movies on friends TVs when I go over their house, but this just doesn't seem to work.
Does anyone else have experience with the Monoprice HDMI MHL Adapter?
I think I'm just gonna buy the one from Samsung.
Thanks for the heads up. Just started shopping around for one.
Mine is on the way, I will let you know if I can make it work

I got mine to work after a long time of playing with it, also you can't move the phone at all because the power cord will keep falling out of the MHL adapter
Make sure you report it to monoprice. They listen. It may take awhile though.
I voided my warranty and your mum.
I can confirm this works 100%:

Silly question: I bought a similar one from newegg, but I don't know how to get it to work. For example I'm watching a youtube video on the phone, how do I make it output to the TV? (Of course I had it connected to it through an HDMI cable).
I got mine in the mail last night and it works just fine.
The regular samsung usb cable connected without problems.
Make sure to connect the power on the adaptor before connecting it to the phone.

As in yours, you mean the Monoprice one? It does work? mine has all sorts of problems. Your power cord fits in without it easily just falling out?

Yes, the Monoprice one. The power cord fits easily and stays there. No problems at all.
Just contact Monoprice, maybe you got a bad one.

Hi. I just bought an adapter from to connect from the "bottom" 30-pin output (in this case) to a HDMI cable. Thing is, my TV (also a Samsung, btw) will not recognize the HDMI connection, which works perfectly with my laptop. So, I suppose I have missed something here, most likely something quite elementary. Any hints, please?

Did you also attach the power adapter ?
I had the same thing when Trying to connect via the 8.9 dock. You need external power for hdmi to work
External power? As in plugging into the 30-pin thing, which is already taken by the HDMI adapter? (Now I'm SURE I have missed something . . )
Ah - the power adapter! Well, I knew it had to be something elemental! That being said, I can't say this seems like an easy (nor elegant) way of doing things, but it works. At least.
Thanks to the both of you!
Yeah I had same experience with you,
Everything is ok after taking my charger

With my p7500 the same experience I'm now using it in every presentation I made.
Would like some light shed on the matter, how am I supposed to connect the Power adapter while the 30 pin port is taken by the HDMI adapter?
Execuse my ignorance ;(
Edit;
Found out how through eBay listing description.
Yes how do it

The HDMI Adapter has another 30 pin port on it.
Will this work with TF101. I have the standard HDMI cable laying around in my house and thought using this mini HDMI adaptor might work..
It will work, but I don't recommend that type since it puts a lot of stress on the connector and may cause it to fail earlier.
So which one do you recommend? There's some micro HDMI and some mini HDMI and there's type-d and so on.. kind of confuse!! Thanks!
I'm not into the super expensive type... a working one should be sufficient..
Use a cable that goes from the mini HDMI to the normal HDMI.

I have an amazon basics micro to standard hdmi. It works flawlessly, cost <10 bucks with Prime. One of the best purchases I've ever made for the tf101.

Sound great..
Do you have a picture of it? So I can buy the correct one..
The correct one should look just like a normal HDMI cable, except it would have a mini HDMI on one end.
I recently saw that Dealextreme is stocking two wall chargers for the Asus Transformer series of tablets
One with the proprietary connector built in
http://dx.com/p/ac-power-adapter-ch...101-tf201-sl101-black-2-round-pin-plug-137392
and one with a 15v USB port
http://dx.com/p/ac-power-adapter-ch...mer-tf101-tf201-black-2-round-pin-plug-126492
has anyone tried them? I think I'll order the one with the proprietary connector, and so if it fails, I'll still have the connector to tinker. Also, if it works, I'll get to keep the cable at home, protected, instead of in my messenger bag.
I have tried the one with the 15v USB port - and it works just fine.
The best value for money (as always from DX).
i could buy those charger on ebay.. but what is the review about those chargers
I use second and i dont have any problems.:good:
Bought the one with the proprietary connector built in from them - works just fine.
I bought one from ebay here. It works great and you don't have to worry about that stupid asus brick crapping out on you.
Anyway, it's good to have one functioning properly with charger connected.

How to use this in the US? Is the round-pin connector removable?
TIA;
Pat
This one is half the price of the asus, available with amazon prime, and got REALLY good reviews. Just ordered one today, will provide feedback when received.

USA version of the non USB one can also be found for that seller (Flat pin plugs). Search tf101 charger. I'd give you the link but I dont have rights yet.
Hi everyone!
I just received this fake dock from ebay. I am not surprised that it doesnt work, but inside, it is not as bad as I thought.
I am sorry, but as new user, I cannot post outside links.
Does anybode have experience with this kind of dock?
If you know, how to get it work, please reply.
Thx, vojta.
Get your money back. I wouldn't even try to mess with that thing to get it to work. Who knows, it might fry your phone!
