a) I haven't done so much until now but thank you.
b) There is a 'Thanks' button under every post
I'm still waiting for the sources for the view and the evo gingerbread kernel. I miss overclocking, undervolting and interactive governor Hopefully the flyer owners can whip up some kernels for you.

Source Code Goodiness!!!

http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/0...-proving-that-the-world-is-coming-to-its-end/
HTC actually released their source code for the 3D!!! CM7 here we come!!
I can't wait for CM on my phone to blow the SGS II outta the water... Just sayin'.
Man everything is rolling out this week.
It must suck ass for those who whined & gave up their 3vo.
Damn this weekend has been dope so far...
Sent from my Evo3D
I tried to explain to my gf why I am so excited and got no where. Got yelled at for being up until 5am tearing up the source code hehe
empiire: you are right it will, and already does!! Even with sense, when its oc'd it destrois the sgs2 out of the water. With CM7 or another ASOP rom overclocked, it will be unstoppable
I love how the nay sayers were pwnd last night...this phone is gonna be ridiculous
Woo! I'm not a dev, but don't we still need that recovery? Or is that included... Either way, very happy to see a corporation like HTC release source on the 3vo!

Custom Kernals for ICS leak?

Any of the Tbolt custom Kernals work with the new leaked ICS? I think it could be much improved with a little overclocking.

No the gingerbread kernels do not work with ICS. We just have to wait and hope imoseyon makes a new kernel for ICS soon.

It will be 90 days before devs are allowed to make a kernel. We will have to use stock until then.

UHHHH, no....they can make a kernel whenever they want. And why does everybody keep saying this 90 day bull ****?! They haven't officially sent out an ota...this is a damn leaked build!! 90 day gpl won't mean **** untill we get an OFFICIAL build....

So I guess you're going to make us a kernel before that time then. I guess since you clearly know so much then you can handle a lawsuit with HTC.

The 90 day GPL thing is something constructed by HTC so they don't have to release source, and we tolerate it for some reason. Technically source is supposed to drop the minute the OTA goes out according to GPL v2(which the Linux kernel is under).
Give it a read, there is nothing about a 90 day wait:

You are legally able to make a kernel before then, but you have to be able to do it without the HTC source. HTC can't do anything to you for building a kernel that works on the Thunderbolt. The 90 days is because most devs can't make a kernel without the source, but a kernel could be built and openly distributed before the source drops(or the OTA) with no repercussions.
Besides, I really doubt they would attempt to punish a developer that actually makes their phone worth owning. I hate sense with a passion, but ICS is ICS, and until source drops I'll be content with it(nothing against Jester, but I'm not a fan of all the changed in JMOD)
Someone on band said they flashed adrynalyn's 3++ kernel but my bolt never booted after I flashed it.
I remember hearing that tiamat had a kernel made and posted should the bolt get ICS. But I don't think anyone has tried it.

I would only want a custom kernel on sense 3.6 not on liquid ICS because its already super fast

It does but the tiamat kernel really needs some work before it is up to par.

patience, friends. HTC released the official ICS nearly 90 days ago. Source code should be released with a week from now. Then the Thunderbolt gets a new lease on life.

Do they actually wait exactly 90 days? If so, the source should drop on the 4th or 5th, if memory serves.
Either way, looking forward to seeing even the slightest new breath of life for the TB

HTC One Kernel Source Available on HTCDev

Now that the Google Edition One has been released, so has the kernel source. Listed under the "HTC One Special Edition". I'm sure this will aid in dev'ing AOSP roms (although I'm not a developer myself). More of an FYI.

Wow guys..its not even 24 hours yet...people have barely even looked at this stuff let alone dug deep enough to see what's useful or offers fixes, give it a few days before asking if it'll fix stuff and whatnot.
Chances are the answer is yes.

Come on guys, the HTC One kernel source has been out for hours now, why haven't you quit your jobs and provided us with a bug-free AOSP rom yet!?
