Display Brightness level in automatic mode - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

Does the slider below indicate the maximum brightness the screen will go to with automatic brightness enabled? Or does the auto override the slider??

Automatic overrides the slider. Max brightness on auto is... well... max brightness.

Try the app "screen filter". It makes auto-brightness a modifiable percentage of what it would be otherwise.

Settings question for S3 owners

Could any S3 owners confirm if there is an outdoor screen mode in the settings?
No such setting. Dynamic, standard, natural and movie settings for screen mode.

Change dpi of notification area and size of quick settings?

I've got this phone customized almost exactly the way I want except for two b areas:
1. The size and vertical spacing of the quick setting toggles
2. The overall dpi of the notification area - it's way too big
I have App Settings for the Xposed Framework but I don't think it works on the notifications.
Anyone know how to solve one or both of these?

My first test so far.
Brightness was approx 80 percent, sync on and time out 1 min
I could easily get 18 hours easily with stamina mode, low brightness and sync off.

[Q] What is this C on the 80% on my brightness slider?

Perhaps custom?
When cycling through the various brightness levels by tapping that same icon, it looks as though the "C" is only on the level that I set the brightness to. Just a guess.
