[ODIN] Stock ROM Collection - Fascinate Android Development

So, I've collected pretty much all of the stock Odin files that have ever been posted here (or anywhere else) for the Fascinate and have downloaded them pretty much as soon as they were posted. Since most of these were posted on Multi-Upload, they are all pretty much gone now. So, I figured that since people may need them, I'd host them for users. If you need them, here they are. I'd also appreciate if you clicked the Donate button by my avatar to help pay for hosting as well if you download one or all of these.

Thanks! I was just looking into older stuff yesterday and wondering if any of these would pop up. DL09 is tempting if only for the battery life lol. Any chance you still have any of the older custom roms based on these? I particularly like RubikS, either 1.3 or 1.7...

I doubt it very seriously if they push any more otas for this phone, seeing as the last two had a lot of problems with peoples phones. I know I had to flash your version cause the ota sucked.

thank you sir 1000 times. Did a serious bricking last night and your posts have been very helpful. i am sorry i can not support the cause at this time but when i have the ability, i for sure will.

Thank a lot!
Maybe someone kept these roms EA28 update.zip and ED01 update.zip. I need them to do this solution

I just purchased a fascinate. Under the assumption it was for Verizon. During the activation (OTA) I got Metro PCS. Verizon says the MEID is clear and I just need to flash it back. Will any of there stock roms do that for me?

Thanks imnuts, your eh03 ROM saved my bacon yesterday, I had trashed my ROM. Thanks to you, Odin, and Titanium Backup, (or more specifically, those who wrote them) within 4 hours I had everything back. (nandroid failed me for some reason)
It's not much, but I donated - hope it helps.

Thanks friend
You saved my fascinate.

Hey thanks a lot for hosting these. Just a quick question, does the pit file go along with every one of the files or is it just for one or two specific ones?
Thanks again.

Just an FYI, if you use the PIT file make sure you check Re-Partition and check Phone Bootloader Update to update to GB bootloaders when using the EH03 package.

[RELEASE] DL09 rom, kernel, radio

Finally,
The moment all of you have been waiting for. DL09 has been officially released. Well, by us anyway.
What does it fix? I have no idea!
I extracted it, and:
-Doedexed
-Zipaligned
-De-Binged (save browser default search)
-De-bloated
-Includes busybox 1.19 compiled by me, that can ping by FQDN.
-Rooted, of course.
I also edited the sound when you touch the screeen. If you don't like it, the old copy can be reverted back. Its in system/media/audio/ui. Attached is a cwm patch to revert to the old sound. Takes like 5 seconds to run, tops.
Note:
-Maps is not included, it must be downloaded from the market.
Is it an official update? No. Will it ever see the light of day? Quite possibly. Will it void your warranty? Definitely. Is it worth it? Maybe.
You need to be rooted to install this update and have access to clockworkmod. Data wipe is essential. Voodoo needs to be REMOVED PROPERLY prior to installing this update. All parts should be installed, or things will stop working...such as haptic feedback, and sms. DJ05 and DL09 radios appear to be interchangeable, but heavy testing has not been conducted.
There are three parts.
Radio:
http://adrynalyne.us/files/roms/DL09modem.tar
This gets flashed via Odin, in the PDA section.
System/rom:
http://adrynalyne.us/files/roms/DL09_2.zip
Mirrors:
www.eleazar.org/Adrynalyne/DL09_2.zip
http://www.4shared.com/file/gNKnCuua/DL09_2.html
Torrent Mirror:
http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/6077375
This gets flashed via clockwork.
Kernel:
Non-voodoo
http://adrynalyne.us/files/roms/1230_NON_voodoo.zip
Voodoo:
http://adrynalyne.us/files/roms/1230_Voodoo.zip
Note- Both of these kernels are similar to my previous test kernels, except they include boot animations. They are undervolted, and based of of jt1134's source on github. DJ05 kernels will work fine for DL09, but you should supply your own boot animation if you do not use one of the above. The stock boot animation does not work very well.
https://github.com/adrynalyne
These get flashed via clockwork.
Thats it. For those who want the unclean, dirty, and sucky experience of full stock: http://gunsforgeeks.com/Fascinate/DL09_stock.zip
Bloated, rooted, odexed, and has busybox.
Some notes:
Do not flash anything made for DI01 or DJ05 with DL09. You are asking for stupid things to happen.
DO flash stuff made for DL09, if you can find it.
This is not froyo, its 2.1, but a bugfix to hold us over.
No warranty given, implied, or anything else. You are on your own!
I apologize if glitches are found, not a lot of testing was conducted.
Thanks:
All the devs on IRC, and the original leaker, god rest his soul (we buried his bones after picking him clean after the DJ05 leak).
Do you prefer this over the DJ05?

[REQ] ED01 modem odin

there seems too be some complete odins' to get you back to something resembling completely stock but I was actually not wanting the kernel and stock rom as I have changed several things since updating and rerooting so I was hoping that some one would have the odin for the modem/baseband only for ED01, mine is acting up but all else is well and so my phone will at least appear stock to the naked eye....if I need to take it to get worked on etc for minor junk..so if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great!!
It isn't currently possible to get it. If we get a leak of it then maybe... but that is doubtful as it has been released.
We need a full ED01 Odin package to get the modem, or someone that has access to it. There isn't any method that is known to dump a modem from a phone.
Unless you can dump all of /dev/block/ and post it for us to examine.

If you attempt to dump it using dd, you get a small file that isn't anything close to being the full modem. There are a few other partitions that will do the same thing. That method has already been tried.
I was under the impression that EC01 WAS ED01 with the D changed to a C and the buildprop and everything masked to protect the leaker.. I updated to ED01 anyway... But idk anything.

It seems that ED01 modem is different than EC01. I had missed calls issue with EC01 and EB01 modems but ED01 is working flawlessly for me so far and I'm on it since day one. Maybe it's too soon to be sure but I hope I won't have to go back to EA28 modem.
Lol I think we all want the ED01 modem.bin.
Can't we flash a modem with Heimdall and monitor where it goes (tap into the USB connection)?

Heimdall is open-source, I wrote it
Where the modem goes isn't up to the flashing protocol. It's up to the secondary bootloader, you'd have to reverse engineer it.

They might as well get us the RIL code while they're at it, go big AND go home
All of the suggestions in this thread (sans reverse enginering sbl), have been tried.
We have most of the modems we do now due to my leaks.
Nobody wants to give me ED01 modem though.
Maybe, just maybe, I wont be lazy one of these day, install IDA and see what I can find in the sbl.

Wont' there be a release of then new Community ROM in ODIN form..although the info on the new ROM does not state that it contains a new modem..at this moment at least
have to use Odin to go from EB01 to ED01???
currently running SC 2.9.2 EB01 , themed... its been a while since Ive flashed a ROM because Im running a pretty legit kernel, fast good battery life, but my question is do i have to us Odin to get the ED01 onto my phone before I flash the new community ROM? or like always can I just put it on the SD card and flash from there, of course after doing all the wipes and what not. Curious because I run on a mac which makes using Odin to do things a royal pain in my ass.
Thanks in Advance!
cheers
You can run the comm rom using the eb01 modem you already use. No need to Odin.

[DEV] $500 Bounty for ED04 full tar.md5, including modem.bin

Hi all,
A customer of mine is looking for the Fascinate ED04 ROM + Radio for some devices they have, in ODIN flashable format.
I have run the OTA update and dumped the zImage & system image, but the modem will not dump. I am led to believe that this is due to it being a CDMA Samsung device.
This may not even be possible right now, but if it is - I am offering a $500 incentive to the first person to upload for me a fully working ED04 build, INCLUDING the ED04 radio.
Is the modem.bin included in the OTA in full? or is it just a patch? If it's the full modem, then what I am offering is very achievable.
There's only one catch... it has to be today.
Good luck!
If it's currently not possible, please explain why - I haven't got much time for CDMA devices as I live in the UK, so I'm not fully up to speed on them.
Thank you in advance,
NPR

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1097355
I don't if this will help, but maybe it might just save you some time and/or money.
I am under the impression that the patches can be applied to the DL09 modem, but as of yet, there is no way of obtaining the ED04 modem to flash via Odin.
Here's hoping though!

With enough money and enough time, anything (almost) is possible.
EDIT: Why do you need all of this in an ODIN?
I work in android full time, and my customer is requesting the stock ed04 rom. We cannot use a clockwork method.
The only way to get to the ED04 modem is via the OTA, which is a patch method. There is an Odin for the DL09 modem, which should work fine with ED04.
If you need the ED04 modem, you'll have to use CWM to flash it. If your customer can't/doesn't want CWM then you can just use Odin again to flash the stock recovery over it.

Can you not try ED01 and then OTA? Or is there a reason that won't work? It's a lot cheaper & quicker.
Believe me, I've looked at every option, and they are adament that they simply want the file. You guys have pretty much confirmed what I already knew.
I guess J was just hoping that someone might be able to 'acquire' it, somehow.
Wishful thinking, perhaps.
Thanks anyway to those that tried to help.
did you try the method where you simply place the update.zip into your /sdcard and just 3 finger start and flash it without CWM? Its the ED01, but from there you can try and update to stock ed04.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1044230
But if your just trying to get that file as ED04, i don't think it exists.
You'd have to be able to extract the modem.bin from the nvram on the actual radio chipset. Our radio isn't contained on bml12 like the other SGS phones. So it's almost impossible on our phone.

Exactly ! Isn't that one major reason/benefit for rooting ? That is, so the user can remove "bloat" ?
Know what will happen ? You'll create a debloated version and some will complain that you removed "that program" or "this program" !!
Noob question - Debloated ICS
This might be a dumb question and if so, please forgive me. I learned to root and flash ROMs in December, I'm currently running Liquid ICS v1.5 MR3.But I don't know a thing about kernels and I'm wary of flashing radios. So my question is - is Santod (or any developer for that matter) working on a ROM for the official ICS that you can just flash (without messing with radios and kernels and other steps)? Is that what he/they mean when they say they are working on a "build". I'm "ok" flashing ROMs and I'd like to have the "official" ICS, but if it requires that level of technicality, I'll unroot and download the OTA.
Any info you could provide would be helpful.

if you got as far as rooting and flashing a rom, then you can flash a radio. don't be afraid of it. it's no more difficult than flashing a rom, and much easier than actually rooting.

There are multiple mirrors on the host server.
Did you try any of them?
Nobody else has been having any issues.
Not one report actually.
Try from a different browser and mirror.
Downloading via mobile rarely works and is not recommended.
I tried downloading it from my phone yesterday...no dice. I was able to download it on my computer and transfer it to the phone though.

Tried all different kinds of things. Couldn't do it on the laptop usign wi-fi. So then I used the actual phone and I was able to do it in about 15 minutes using 4G. Thanks!
One other question. If I flash your NuSense Unsense ROM (but don't change the radios) will I have the basic functionality of the "official" ICS? I love the lack of data drops but I HATE the "sense". Could I use an "old" ROM and a "new" radio for this stability?

Either place the md5 for the rom zip on the sd card, or remove the md5 sum check that the recovery is doing.
There should be a setting to disable the md5 sum check in Recovery.
MD5 sum is a digital signature that verifies that the file is complete or not.
Just disable the check for it and you can install without it.

[DEVS/Firmware] JSS15J.N900PVPUBMI5 update.zip

Hi guys.
Here is the update.zip for MI5. I have taken the liberty to remove the firmware (bootloader, trustedzone, etc) from this just incase Samsung is trying to pull something. I'm posting two versions, one with the firmware and one without. Appyling this update.zip caused my phone to not boot with the updated kernel. I had to revert back to the MI3 kernel in order to boot up. I'm assuming this is due to either root, or me removing the firmwares. That is why i'm labeling this as dev.
NOTE: DO NOT FLASH THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE A BACKUP OF YOUR PREVIOUS KERNEL AND CAN RESTORE.

Thanks. If I don't see a new TAR this weekend I'll patch the modem so it can be flashed via Odin.

Great Work, glad to see you here freeza!!!
Can't wait to see how the mi5 setup works out. Cause as of right now, the call quality is horrible. I'm dropping 10+ calls a day. In areas my note2 would never drop a call.

flashed earlier. never had as good of a signal as I am getting now.
4glte connects stronger, and for further distances than ever before, lte to 3g handoff was flawless. and call quality was vastly improved.
Thanks for packaging this up freeza! u the man.

Yes please tell us, I am just dying to flash something here! I had completely stopped doing anything with my E4GT because it simply could not handle all the apps and features I wanted. Now I have this powerhouse but nothing to flash lol. [I understand it takes time and the device has been out in the wild for less than a week, BUT I'M EXCITED!]

Did you flash in TWRP and did you boot loop?
Sent from my SM-N900P
Tried flashing the one with no bootloader it failed. I am on jellybomb domination v1.0 tried flashing using twrp. What could I have done wrong? Also, will this give me ml5 modem? Right now I am on ml3 and I am getting terrible signal, always in roaming and get horrible call quality.

I have a n android of my stock room. Would I be able to just take the kernel from the back up or is there a way in twrp to back up just the kernel?

When you are in TWRP, the "boot" check box, is the kernel. So, when backing up or restoring, as long as that box is checked, the kernel should be backed up (or restored).

We have been trying all day to get the update... It is not yet available for me or freeza.
if you would like too return to stock, and if you get the OTA. let us know...
we can walk you through pulling the files, and uploading, so either myself or freeza can make a flashable for everyone. I also spoke to Garwyn, and he doesn't have the OTA yet either. It also isn't posted on Sammobile, and it isn't available in Kies yet either...
Be patient. Obviously, we will be posting stock rom, odin restore, and update zips/. these things just take time.
