Hello XDA forums,
Recently I have purchased an Archos 43IT, and I was looking into overclocking it to smoothen out some hardware heavy applications. I have already tried ardatdats kernel but unfortunately none of them seem to work. So my question is does anyone still have a copy of the undervolted overclock kernel that TzBob posted in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=901718? If so could someone be nice enough to upload it?
Thanks in advance
This Kernel is not be know to work with urukdroid!
I wouldn't test it out
But if you really want it just ask Tzabob for the file

Actually I'm not running Urukdroid, too buggy for me as of now
And he hasn't been online since march so I doubt I would get an answer.

Okey, then i haven't an answer for you buddy
But why you want that kernel? Artadats is good
As I said in the first post, it gets stuck at the Archos bootsplash and refuses to move on.
Hi!
I come from the x10 mini forums. Had my mini pro stolen a few days ago and just ordered the Galaxy Ace. I have a good amount of knowladge for android but not for samsung phones. can somebody please provide me threads that help to root and install CWM as well as custom rom installation and possibly network unlocking.
Thanks in advance
hi and welcome
probably ur device will came with gb preinstalled. so use this for rooting.
look at 1st post, flash the upd_1.zip file via stock samsung's recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034145
then maybe u wanna flash cwm recovery v4.0.0.9
flash the ClockWorkModAce.zip file via stock samsung's recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1168417
then maybe u wanna upgrade cwm recovery to v5.0.2.6
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1168417
and for stock rom, we only had cfroot kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1158197
but for network unlock, i'd say it pretty much dangerous for ace. almost everyone who tried to do it themselve failed and hard bricked the phone while purchased online unlock code doesnt work at all.
Thanks, could you recheck those links, some lead to same place

Yeah I'm familiar with smartphone batterys. my mini pro was the same. Would drain like mad when gaming/browsing. but listening to music while in standby was no problem. My tip to you would be JuiceDefender
although i kind of think the answer is rom/kernel related but i was wondering if it is even possible to make stock rom/kernel to recognize and take bootanimation.zip
on XWLPG stock at the moment and love to figure out a way to use the BIOS bootup animation but unfortunately i think i have to go to another kernel to do that but i would rather stay with stock etc.
any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

exactly. just put on external then boot into recovery and flash kernel. no need to wipe anything. thats it. now youll have overclocking. you will still need to use setcpu or something else to set oc where you want it since your not on any custom rom. as long as your rooted and booted your good to go!
and not to be mean but next time put this in the q&a threads. just a heads up...be cool.
thnx again
Ok thnx allot....Q&A ? Is that the questions and answer part ? Sorry I thought I wad in the right place......anyways thnx for the help..

Stock ROM is STILL the stablest and WILL be still the stablest.
If you search for the best ROM, there is NO best ROM.
I ask this because I have other devices and in other devices there are plenty of stable and fully functional custom roms.....
Also, I do a little bit of moding on roms, specially on MIUI, therefore I don't understand what is your surprise when people ask a question such as this....

Yes, I just said Stock ROM is/will be the stablest ROM for our device.
¿U mad bro¿
Ynt: GT-S5839i
There is not so much open source drivers for our device especially hw gl drivers. Because of this the custom roms and the stock based roms cant be stable as the stock one. If broadcom releases the drivers bieltv waiting for, may be the cm 7 will be the first faster and stable rom that we were waiting so long...
S5830i Stock + Root + init.d + Ligtning script + Link2SD
ok thanks a lot.
Its a pitty.
Also, 2 questions:
A) is there a way of making bluetooth always discoverable and end the time limit?
This is a pain specially pairing it with my car systems. Should be straight forward.
B) can we change the battery icon to percentage within stock settings?
I can't find anywhere.
UOT kitchen is down for so long and I can't cook a battery icon.
2 stupid limitations from stock roms....
Thanks

It's stock
