It's not 0%battery problem.
Looks like your baytery is getting old, capacity is dropping in high usage.
go to service menu type *#*#7378423#*#* and find there option to see status of your battery, to see what phone thinks about your battery.
Please use proper title that describe the subject of your thread. Thanks
Go to general chat and tell us there your problem, its kinda useless to post new threads or topics, no mad meanings put its way simpler

Hey guys,
I have a new and not modified (not root, default ROM) Ace and I think the battery status is not working properly. When the battery is being drained, the battery status goes like 100%,99%,98%,... just like it should I think, than it freezes let's say on 80%, it shows this 80% for couple of hours even when the phone is being used a lot (wi-fi, gps, watching some stuff), after this couple of hours it goes straight to 60% or something within a moment, than it works again like 60%,59%,58%,... than it get freezed on same % for couple of hours again... and so on... I wonder if this is just how the Ace or Android works, or there is something wrong with phone refreshing/getting the battery information ?
You reminded me This Post ...
Anyway... If you add all those "couple of hours" I think you have such a great battery performance!!!
The battery life is not that bad indeed but I find useful to know whether the battery is 40% or 20% when it shows 40%

On another forum I saw few people having this problem (very small battery life even with wi-fi, gps and 3G off) which wasn't solved even by a new battery. They had to use warranty and get their phones repaired.

My 3G is off all the time. Anyway if it shows same percentage for 2-3 hours while I am using the phone heavily, it is quiete annoying. I would be glad if it was only "jumpy"
As a prospective buyer,I would like to hear from users of the SXP here in India ?

I have an Xperia S, and after looking at my phone my roomie liked the way it looked and bought the Xperia P as he was not comfortable with the size of the S.
It's been two days, but since due to AIRTEL not being able to provide him a Micro SIM, He's just using it over WIFI for now till he get's the Micro SIM
Got it for Rs.25000 from Sangeetha Mobiles in Bangalore on Saturday. They threw in a Bluetooth earpiece as well.
It's looking good till now , with the battery lasting pretty well while playing games and listening to music and also while on WIFI. But, I dont know how long the battery lasts with the Mobile network turned on. My estimate is that it'll last for a day and you'll have to charge it at least once every 24 hours with moderate to slightly heavy usage.
As far as User Xperiance is concerned, based on feedback from the XS and the XP, The sony stock launcher is the only one i feel that i can continue using without the need for a replacement launcher, but that is left up to you. The included widgets are not gimmicky and pretty usefull, maybe except for Timescape friends. But that is also a personal preference.
The phone has been running smoothly without any noticeable lag until now. Display looks pretty good, Camera is similar to that of my XS . The photos are pretty sharp and there is enough detail in them. Shot to shot time is less than 1.5 seconds. Also the Auto Scene recognition feature works pretty well and is pretty good while shooting macros.
It's a good phone and i think you can go for it.
Sidenote : this is my roommates first Android. wait Smartphone. and he's extremely impressed.
Let me know if you get it.

the build quality feels solid, and as for the case, he isn't using one. He uses the pouch provided along with it when he carries it in his pocket. I think Sangeetha mobiles have stock of the red one, look there.

Hey bought this mobile just this sunday for rs.23200 from mobile point, vile parle mumbai ! was greatly impressed with the screen and the viewing angles as well as the camera quality ! coming to the battery life on my second charge the batery lasted a full 34.5hrs on moderate use ! i charged it on sunday night and then went to sleep ! the display time came to 3 hrs and 45 mins before getting drained, apllication time came to 1 hr and 47 mins, music came around 1 hr and 30 mins(nt included in display time), calls on 2g came to 25mins , web browsing via Wifi was 30 mins, synching my accounts and crating a google account for android market took me 20 mins via gprs ! camera just used for 20 mins and the rest of the time i spent on changing the settings, wallpapers and other apps! removing my idle time of approximately 18 hrs (2 nights sleeps of 7 hr each and another 4 hrs in classes) i guess it provided me with 16 to 18 hrs of use while i was awake ! thx sortof fine to me i guess ! can others also post their reviews about their battery usuage !
34.5 hrs ? that's awesome man.. Mine just lasted some 4 to 5 hours the first day, and was really a let down. But things have changed over last couple of days and I'm getting arround 12 hrs on moderate usage. That includes some 20 mins of gaming (TempleRun), browsing for 15 mins, auto sync n data enabled through out and some 45 mins of talking. I think the battery needs to go through a couple of charging cycles to attain it's optimal performance. Anyways it's a great phone and i'm in love with it.

hey please note: my phone was idle for around 16 to 17 hrs ie while i was asleep or while in classes . so if u deduct dat i too get somewhere around 17 or 18 hrs of practical use! my brightness was automatic with powersaver on ! live wallpaper was switched off, data traffic was turned on only when logging onto the net and last bt nt d least auto sync and permission for apps to use data was disabled . also turn off haptic feedback ie vibrations u get when u use the back, home buttons was turned on ! i mean i did everything to save my battery well i guess battery drains a lot while the networks and wireless are on ! today i left the bluetooth on for somwhere abt 2 or 2 and half hrs and my battery life is 60% after abt 7 and half hours !
Hey, thanks for this thread mate. +1

Hi All,
I am facing a wired scenario right now.
My phone works good however once it reaches around 75% battery or 25% battery it suddenly switches off stating battery zero.
When i try to restart, it doesnt start, however if i put it on charging even for two minutes it starts working and lets say it switched off on 75% so will still show me 75% and in one time on the battery charge graph i can see that battery went down from 75 to zero instantly.
My Device is 1 1/2 yrs old and by my signature you can understand that i have not been very kind with my device.
I was using tweaked stock rom i tried changing to few other roms also so doesn't looks like a software flaw to me.
When i checked with a local sony repair Shop they are asking me to submit it atleast for a day and then will inform me about the issue. I thought i would first check here to see if some things i could try.
Note : I did tried wiping the battery status 4-5 times.

My actual rom was a stock rom only i have just removed some apk's from it and tweaked hosts file.
Anyways i was using doomlord's tweaked SE kernel but you are right i will give it a day or two on stock ROM complete non rooted Stock.
Right now i am able to find some pattern behind the shutdown. Like right now if i keep phone on 2G its not causing the issue however switching to 3G causes the pain
. Anyways i need to replace backcover also so i am planing to purchase a battery and backcover from ebay.in costing me < 30USD (< 1500 Rs). (Official repair center is suggesting nearly 3-4 times the charge for replacing same parts.)
I've got this problem right now apart from mine does it from 85% the problem is the battery cells are separating as I was told in a similar question I posted up about the same Topic the battery is dying low load on phone keeps it ok but using 3g and WiFi and videos and that it eats up what's left in the few good cells then dies as I type now my battery was at 100% just took it off charge and now it has dropped 4% so far plan on getting a new battery for your phone also I've noticed that the battery has swelled up abit and the back cover doesn't fit properly aswell have you got that issue aswell?

Swelled up battery is an indication of bad and dying battery.. buy new and you r good to go...
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda app-developers app
Exactly what happened in my case.
I did some test's and was waiting for the results. so there is what happened.
i didn't noticed but the battery was a bit swollen. repalced with a new battery purchased on ebay and its giving me all the good times.
so if we face a issue where we see random shutdowns coupled with quick battery exhausiting then this is a job of dieing battery.
P.S. Sony center was selling battery at 2900 INR where is i got the battery from ebay @ 900 INR.
Well i think i also know the reason of my battery dieing on me. I was using my kindle fire charger to charge my battery which is double the capacity. which i think is the reason for the messup on battery.
Dont use different chargers, amp output is different.. Once in a while is fine but not regularly

Something when you need to shutdown because it was stuck, the battery meter becomes inaccurate. It's normal. Your battery level stays te same or increases for some time until it hit the actual battery level and then it's accurate again. Nothing to worry about

Let it drain till it's empty, fully charge it, remove the battery for 90 sec and put it back in, power it up.
Sent from the little guy
Hello!
I have the phone with me for 5 days only, and since day 1, I noticed battery life is no way close to other users and review sites. I'll try to explain all i did since I got the phone.
Took it out of the box, turned it on, used ita bit, updated via OTA to LP, rooted it and then used it a lot until battery was like 10, 15%, just to later read the manual and remember that I didn't charge the phone for 30 min before turning it on.
Put it on charger, slow charging and I was at work, so I had to take it off at 60% to finish charging at home.
Used it the other day and battery life was awful, wouldn't last nearly half the time i had seen on reviews and users screenshots, and it would heat a lot only from doing normal stuff like web browsing.
Decided to do a clean install of LP and do not root for a while (because I saw on the root thread that some user was having battery drain issues and heating after root).
After clean install and no root, battery was little to nothing better. Before SOT with heavy usage would be 3:30, 4:00 hrs, and now it can reach 4:30, maybe a bit more.
TLDR:
Does the 30 min initial charge can screw up a phone's battery if it is not done before turning the device on?
If yes. What can I do? Only replace the phone? Service here is not good, I only have 7 days after purchase to send it back, and if I do, Phone will be 30 days under inspection so they can maybe send me another one.
Could it be a LP issue? I don't think so because people are complaining about battery drain, but usually their SOT is about 5, 6 hrs.
Help would me much aprecciated as I only have 2 more days to think if I send the device back or not.
Thanks in advance

I've read it yesterday, there's where i found out how to see the batch number. I posted it above: 14w50
The thread is closed, I can't post there.
I opened this thread because I really need to know if a phone can have its battery damaged if you don't charge it for 30 min before turning it on. Or if there are cases of damaged batteries on new phones.
