UOT question. Please help - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

OK when making a theme I don't see any with a 4g or LTE icons. I chose the ones with 3g will it show up as that or will it change to 4g? Also when u are done with all u r selection do u leave everything at default after applying framework and system UI? Which framework are u using tw framework or regular framework?

u must upload the following
tw framework
framework-res
systemUI

3g icons will only show up when you are on 3g, you will need seperate icons for 4G
**also** on the file upload tab, make sure your update binary looks like this:
update-binary TYPE GALAXY

I did not change binary and I was able to flash file. No issues.

I am looking for the 4G lte icons myself. If I find some I will edit the framework-res and off we go.
It will just use the stock icons till you replace them

Sense Theme V1.4 for JK2 2.2 [Updated 12/06/2010]

While we wait for that Galaxy Sense port... behold The TouchSense UI
This basically changes the icons to those of HTC Sense main icons, settings icons, and the whole framework... but the progress bar. the theme is based on the HTC Desire HD. By the way, this was only tested on that JK2 2.2 Froyo leak, the theme is not yet done, Im probably missing a couple of things I haven't noticed and I still need to work on Touchwiz. If I am really missing something let me know, please let me know.
Sorry for the delay, I was very busy during the holidays and had tons of homework..
Update log:
4G is gone, Wi-fi is back
I might have also fixed the problems with Metamorph
------------------
4G icons
phone's dialer #s are changed to white (see screenshots)
Sense Tabs
wonder if this will work on fascinate?
Cool, will this work on any other roms or just the odin froyo leak? How did you get the H+ Icon?
Flash clock work or meta?

Since I dont have a Fascinate, I'm not 100% sure, but I am 96.9% it will if you are running stock... just make sure you have everything backed up before you try it

As of right now, I have only tested it on the JK2 version, it could be Eugene's version with odin or the flashable zip of the same. The H+ I found it sleeping somewhere inside the HTC Ace's System files.

my mistake, it's a metamorph, if for some reason metamorph doesn't unzip it, try unzipping it with Astro or any other unzipper you may have, then with Metamorph Pick existing theme, Find the xml, Apply all and you're all set
By the way, I forgot to say I replaced the wi-fi icon with the 4G icon.. I only did that to show it off to a friend of mine who owns an HTC Evo 4G (I couldn't resist ), I was wondering though, should I put the wi-fi back?
Does this have the sense live wallpaper?
And anychance you can change the.edge icon to H+ and the 3g to 4g?

I think you should put the wi-fi back as 4G might be confusing. Does this theme also give the black notification bar that you have with the H icons?
As an Evo user, I think this is funny because you can run Touchwiz on a Sense ROM. Sense is very hard to port over because it's not just an APK like Touchwiz is; it's an actual replacement of a ton of system files.
Still though, very convincing. Looks great! And nice use of Fancy Widget.
Metamorph is saying the XML is invalid. Using latest version.
it forclose. any suggestion?

I thougt about changing the EDGE and 3G icons to H+ and 4G respectively, but that might have been confusing to some users *shrug*.. but I can change it for you if you want.
and no, this doesn't have the Sense live wallpaper

Yeah that would be a good idea as the 4G wasn't intended to stay.
And yes, it does change the black notification bar, though it doesn't change the notification list colors (white)

Try unzipping the file with another 3rd party app > go to Metamorph > Pick existing theme > find the XML file on the folder where you unzipped you the theme > Apply all, it should work

Are you sure you want that though, I mean.. there's no IN or OUT there is just signal strength, now that I think about it, it's not gonna look right unless I edit the 4G icons, which will take a while.. but I'll do it just for the hell of it, just not now
stay tuned

[Theme] ICS CM7 - Sonny's MDPI ICS (Port + Tablet Tweaked Edition)

First of all, thanks to Sonny for his great work!
This is a modified version of his MDPI, originally found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1310925
Unfortunately, it doesn't work correctly on the nookCOLOR due to the status bar buttons being too small.
So, I've modified the theme so that the buttons are in the MDPI folder (making them bigger AND clickable).
( added a little bit of ICS color flair )
Let me know what you think!
I like it. Any way u can add the ics wifi icon.
Thanks!
It should already have the right icon ... I just ported the theme.
If you can show me a screenshot, I'll take a look at it.

Nevermind I thought the wifi icon had no breaks in it and it was solid. But just double checked with my ics vibrant and it has wifi strength line breaks in it.Anyways this is my favorite theme right now you did a excellent job. Most of the themes soft buttons were too small these are just the right size.
No prob
I really liked Sonny's theme, which I'm using on my Evo ... just need the buttons to work for the NC

Thanks for the theme.
You're welcome! Just wanted to give back to the community a little.

how did you modify the theme? I noticed the LunarUI theme has the exact same problem with the statusbar icons being too small and not in the MDPI folder.

For CM7??? Yeah it's possible, but time consuming as hell. You have to pull the framework-res & systemui apks, decompile replace/add what you want, recompile, and then flash. Also, any apps or things like the phone/contacts menu, settings menu, etc. you would also have to manually edit.
That's why theme Chooser is so nice, you make all your changes in a single apk file.
I usually start with a theme I like, then decompie it & customize it as I see fit.

I see. Let's say that I have applied a theme using theme chooser in cm7, do I still need theme chooser in my phone after that? I like to remove as much as possible from the pre-installed apks that come with cm7. Once the theme is applied, I guess theme chooser isn't needed?

hi! sorry I wrote wrongly.. I forgot a word.. I know where apps are.. I meant where default app ICONS are.. sorry for confusion..
I'm asking this because I would like to replace the exDialer icon (green one) with the default JB telephone one (blue receiver).. but I don't know where I can locate the JB telephone app icon..
I think you may have had the right image, but I believe you may have to decompile then recompile the app properly to do change that. Google should produce results for a guide to do this as I have seen one recently

Which one do you want? If I have it I will drop box it for you
To replace images you don't have to decompile just drop them in /res/*whichever folder it goes in* with a store compression value.
Only when you need to edit XML's do you need to decompile and recompile.

Thank you very much
It is the blue telephone app icon you can see in the attachment..
I have it somewhere in the system I'm sure otherwise the app couldn't show it but don't know where i could look..
you forgot the attachment
Sorry.. second from the left, third row.. it is the regular jb telephone app icon.. I don't like all the other telephone icons I have..
just trying to upload it now
here
and here
http://db.tt/pn8ftakw
mate.. you are epic!!
that's wonderful.. at last.. thanks so much! :good::good::highfive::victory:
You dont need to decompile to change .pngs...just open the .apk with winrar and go to res/drawable-xhdpi and replace what you want to
the other drawable folders arent used in the S3 - they are overwritten by the xhdpi folder
Edit, couldnt type it fast enough...!!
And that should be dropped in appname.apk/res/mipmap-xhdpi or hdpi or mdpi whichever one is for your dpi.

Best Way to Change 4G Icon?

Whats the best way to change the AT&T 4G image icon to regular 4G, or H+ Same for LTE to say LTE. I want to stay stock unless I can flash a stock rogers version or something like that. Also I cant just change the image in SYSTEMUI.apk Ive tried that on other phones in the past DOESNT WORK as the AT&T image is coded somewhere else.
anyone?
If it's not in the systemUI. It will be in the framework. You can edit images in the framework-res.apk the same way you would with the systemUI.

Its in the system UI..... But the regular H+ consists of 2 images. The 4G icon is SEVERAL. It does not look right. it has to be changed in the xml stuff and I dont know any of that
