Hi, I'm using Franco kernel4 (.35) and NightlyFourE v4.3.1 on my optimus one and find something (a little bit) strange, that is when I'm playing my music files in the stock music player, there is a disturbance like sound skipping, you know, strange sound/signals when I seek the tracks (by moving the track progress bar). It happens onl y for several files, but since I've played the same files in my former ROM (I used official GB before) and found no problem, I guess the problem isn't in my music files. I also tried other music app and found everything is okay, so the problem is ini the stock player. Anyone experienced it too?
How to have it fixed? i really love the stock player, are there any way to update/change the stock music player??
try flashing latest version!!!!!!

There seems to be a bug in the stock music player on kenneths 2.3.4 beta. When i create a playlist, after a few hours songs start to go missing. Every time i check there are a few less songs in my playlist then i originally added. Is this a known issue or is there something i may be able to do to correct the problem?
Sorry I'm not able to help you man, I personally hate the stock music player. Why don't you try out some other players, like PowerAmp? Yeah, it's the one I use.
I have tried asian GB firmwares for my SGA, namely DDKQ5 and XKPB, but the stock music player show mp3 tags for most (not all) of my chinese and jap songs as funny symbols. I tried using a different media player, such as Double Twist, but same result. The tags look ok when i open the sd card on the computer. When I tried XXKPH, all the tags showed up correctly as well. Froyo was fine with the tags, so i downgraded back to DDKC1. Anyone else having this problem with DDKQ5 or XKPB?
yes, that is framework problem. i never had this when i was using Froyo or VillainROM..
now CM7 fixes that
Wow that's a custom firmware right? I've looked around and it seems that custom firmwares do boost the speed of the device by a lot. But currently there's no custom firmware that's based on asian stock ace firmware right? Also I found out that the swype keyboard is not available in CM7? Sorry but I am new to custom firmwares....
I flashed my ace using the coderomv2b and used the ext4 app to format the sd. Performance is much better, but I'm having issues with the media player.
1. Some of the unicode mp3 tags are still incorrectly displayed in the stock player. I tried double twist but it was worse.
2. After I long press the menu key and type into the search box, nothing comes up in the stock media player.
3. The player seems to be skipping during playback.
Anyone else having these issues??

3. Use a different CPU governor
Infused with CM7 for Galaxy Ace using XDA App
I was having problem with some .m4a songs, they keep their tag information in xml-format which is different from mp3 (which uses ID3). iPod and iphones doesnt have this problem since m4a are made by apple
m4a(Apple Lossless Audio Codec) are made for apple's product which is why they doesnt co-operate that well with android.
Solution:
Convert them to MP3. The only converter that i used who kept the tags was Switch Audio File Converter. You might use some other converter as well.
My songs are all in mp3 format, and are tagged using mediamonkey.
Thanks for your replies, but I flashed the blackhawk custom rom just to try it out and amazingly, the song information appears correctly, and I am able to perform search function in the media player. Haven't test the skipping part yet...
Btw anyone using the black hawk rom as well? I only managed to get quadrant scores of around 1000; I managed to get 1500 while on coderomv2b. I applied the crs check ram script...any ideas?
Edit: I forgot to enable the Media stagefright....my bad. :S Now I'm getting 1500+ as well on this rom.
Well even if your quadrant score is low it shouldnt matter as long as your phone is running in a good speed.
When you import your songs via mediamonkey, doesnt all your songs get transfered to the rootfolder? That happend to me which is why im not using it.
can any of you upload a stock music player of cm7? im on dax's themed rom and i kinda don't like its music player..plz upload anyone
It's in the attachment. But I strongly reccomend to use Google Music/PlayerPro/Cubed/doubleTwist/PowerAMP.
Cubed (3) and doubleTwist are free, but if you like the stock one you should use PlayerPro.
thanks +1! you saved my frustration..

stock music player is good, however google shall add some nice features and new glorious look,
bad thing is that it does not have equalizer =(
is anyone having beat skips on any player other than stock player..
i tried winamp and Mixzing, and in both all song skips at 2-3 parts..
I was getting BZZZT noises all throughout songs in random places with the stock music player and Google music beta app. I switched to playerpro and I'm not having any issues.
It's called noise reduction, if you have noice in stock player than either there is a problem with your device's audio playback or your music is noisy. In most cases it's the second one.
try ttpod! best ui

O MY GOSH, thank you SO MUCH for the Cubed (3) recomendation... this is the ONLY music player so far i have found that has the ability to CLEAR the now playing list... so you cant press pause/play and have music play at any time.
anyone can please upload stock camera flashable zip file
Hey there....... I'm experiencing music playback problems since I came over to DarkyROM2 XXKG2 Odexed Base 3. I've posted this question on the DarkyROM Forum and no one seems to have a clue as to what my problem is.
I'm primarily playing MP3 and FLAC files........ out of about 50 songs in my playlist so far, only two playback at the proper speed and it's never the same two, the balance playback so fast that a 4 minute song goes by in about 8 - 12 seconds. I've tried several music players PowerAmp Pro, ProPlayer, Mixzing etc. all to no avail.
Is there someone out there that can point me in a direction to some answers, I've been searching forums for the past four days and have found nothing that works.
Thanks
That looks like its the rom you are using change the rom to a stock rom and test .
jje
Reset my phone back to stock ROM and the music playback problems persist. Same old thing Alvin and the Chipmunks on all tracks.
Anyone out there have an answer?
Hello,
So recently I rooted my Galaxy S2 and I was on resurrection remix rom and now i've got onto cyanogenmod 10.1 nightlies. so far so good. am hiigh on android
The only problem or issue ive faced so far is the music player, ive got to admit theres nothing like the samsung touchwiz music player.
If you guys would kindly help me out here...
ive tried a ton of music players but every single music player manages to detect ringtones and other sounds including my music, which btw the samsung music player never did.
recently i found this music player that had this option where i add only files above 2mb or likewise but i really dont remember which player that was, do any of you know it?
a newbie here so go easy and suggestions or recommendations would be highly appreciated
thanks a million in advance

Most players have that option. Anyway poweramp is the best music player out there. If you cant buy that use N7 player which is also good. You can select your music folders with both of these apps
2nd PowerAmp, tried a fair few others but nothing came close. Had high hopes for Apollo, but not for me.
