Image View Overlap List View - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it possible to have an image view overlap a listview? Basicall I want to put a vertical line done the center of my list view to make a vertical dividier between the textviews in a listview row that are statically sized horizontally and dynamically sized vertically. Thanks

Please help me out.

You should make a custom listview item layout for columns. Overlaying an image to do this is a very bad idea

How would I go about creating a vertical line that is dynamically sized? I've tried adding an image in custom listview adapter that is the height of the tallest textview but everytime I use the getHeight method on the textview it returns size 0.

[Q] Have a custom listview with A-Z filters on the right

I couldn't post this question in the Android Development section so posting it here.
I am enclosing an image of my application to make it easy to ask my question. The app shows 400 entries. I want to implement a A-Z filter on the right side of the listview containing the entries like the Android Contacts application shows and i have highlighted what exact functionality i want to implement.
I have looked over stackoverflow which tend to describe using a AbsListView or SectionIndexer .... but i think it only sections it, doesn't make a a-z filter on the right

[Q] Display full Android notifications

I would like to know how to display the entirety of notifications for Android. I would like to make all notifications look like ESPN ScoreCenter (sorry, I can't get a picture). With ScoreCenter the notification has no title but the notifications can go up to 3 or 4 lines and the whole info is displayed. With everything else, however, about 5-7 words are displayed and then it fades off and you can't read the rest. Is there a simple way to change this? I'm on the HTC One X

[Q] Wallpaper margin issues

Does anyone know how to adjust the sizing on the home screen for the widgets for the S GS4? In the pic you can see gaps in between the widgets, which I assume is normal, but when trying to add a blank UCCW widget behind all the widgets there is still a small gap in the bottom. Does someone know how to adjust this so everything lines up with the edges of the screen?
