doesn't work for me
I'm running CM7 7.00 Stable off an SD card, and i installed the nook app. It sees sideloaded books and magazines, but any purchased books and magazines do not show up. Has anyone else seen this?

yeah, but you cant view magazines or newspapers.....
Runs fine in Phiremod. Magazines are a little sluggish, and books take forever and a day to open the first time, but good other than that. I'm running Phiremod now because of this app. Was Autonootered because of my Economist subscription.

is there an app like airprint on the ipad so we can print from the 10.1?
Try google cloudprint. Works even with my usb printer connected to my NAS!
Set up printers and manage printque in chrome then you can print doc's from the cloudprint app.
Or u can check if you printer manufacturer has got its own app B-)

Don't want to be rude. But its amazing how lazy people are getting. And are expect that you will get everything served on a silver plate.
Have you even tried to search the Market?
Almost every printer manufacture have their own app, Samsung,hp, Kodak and so on.
I have a Samsung printer and use their app and its work good. Also used the app below some times
If you dontfind your print i recommend this app below.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.dynamixsoftware.printershare&feature=search_result
And see here. I just typed the word printer, and see how many apps that you can try and see for u self what is the best app
https://market.android.com/search?q=printer&so=1&c=apps
I use PrintShare. It works fine for me. The manufacturer of my printer has an app for Android, but it only allows me to print photos and not documents.

Moving to Q&A
This worked on my galaxy nexus http://m.m3m0.bazaarandroid.com/app/market/com.sec.android.app.allshare/1200/428569/AllShare Player you'll have to install aptoide, which has apps just as the play store, but with no restrictions. try it and let me know if it work. Worked on 10.1 tablet too.
Just installed it on my galaxy nexus as well. Thanks for the link.
This I would love, but without having to install an extra app just to download.
I use Allshare Play on my computer to my phone when I'm out. Would be nice to have to use it on my tablet off the network as well.
Does the app still work if you uninstall aptoide?

I use Es File Explorer to my devices. I've seen these recommended as well, BubbleUPnP and HomeDia... I haven't tried them so I can't vouch.

You can try Twonky. With Twonky Beam you can even beam video from tablet to PC or Smart TV (only HTML5 sites).
I am using also MediaHouse (the Pro version, but the Lite works as well).

Thanks for the share.
Can someone upload the apk file cos I would like to added to my rom..?
Has anybody tried pushing the full Allshare package to the System Apps (IE Allshare Play, Allshare Controller, etc.)
One thing that bites is that while the included Allshare apk for this tablet is good for DLNA, it would be nice to have the remote access features of Allshare Play.
Sure, there are tons of alternatives, but Allshare/ Allshare Play has great privacy settings for DLNA so you can restrict access easily and access your home computer when you are away from your home LAN.
thank you

Quickoffice is good. With all premium goodies for free. It might be handy.
Yes quickpic
or perfect viewer with pdf plugin
Of all the pdf readers I've used I find ezPdfReader the best.
It is because of it's text reflow feature which is very essential due to star's small screen size :silly: and works very smoothly :victory:. It also has night mode feature, supports password protected pdfs, auto scroll etc.
I'm a book lover too and I've finished many books using this app !
thanks to all of you guys. what i am using now is adobe pdf reader and quuckoffice. i'll try ezPdfReader. i have no idea quickpic can view pdf file.
Due to star's small screen size reading e-book is very annoying...quickoffice and ezpdfreader are good....u can also try officesuite...it is very fast
