Wanted to thank you for the heads up as I'm always looking for ways to make my X2 better.
That said after reading through the complete thread there is no way I'm trying that mod on my phone and I'm advising my X2 friends to please read through the thread before you jump. And that's MHO.

This could be that you flashed a complete version . Would you be so kind as to upload your version from your sd? I may have been rash. I apologize.

From what I understand it drastically improves audio quality, especially in headphones obviously. Flashed just fine for me, people having issues make sure you're flashing the 'flashable' zip and not the other one.
edit: It's the zip attached two posts up.

EDIT. .. plz don't say listen hard.(I do have hearing loss from playing drums)

Miui and cm7 run fix perms on boot! It boots ok w/ some hiccups but ok. Have not tested audio yet.
Thanks to the op! Use his upload only.
Edit I did run rom mgr fix perms and rebooted cuz of the hiccups on boot.

Skwoodwiva, what you are pointing out is exactly what is going on in most of the original thread along with unanswered questions about what this actually does. Then there are all the folks having boot loop problems, etc, etc...which is why as gutsy as I am about trying things I didn't try this and recommended folks read the ref thread before they do.
Hell I was looking at this weeks ago wondering if it would work on our phone but it was over my head as to how to port the mod over and was thrilled to see this post. But for now I'll wait till you or moonshadow or motcher or one of our moders or devs figures it out rather than be what looks like to me an unknowing alpha tester...lol just saying.

Edit you could also add solved or whatever to the title.

Can anyone confirm the better audio on CM7?
I detest Beats headphones so goddamn much...

CWM Recovery Batch install issues

Hey all,
I created a little zip to be flashed in cwm recovery, It works great in almost every way, except some apps in /data/app and system/app in the zip do not get installed at all or are corrupted (both happen with diff apps). I've tried reflashing the same zip, repackaging it, and even installing the apks manually. Nothing works except installing the apks manually.
I've deduced that before packaging, the apks are fine. And because I've repacked it twice, and have had complete success packaging other flashable zips, I feel something is happening in CWM recovery, or maybe my updater script doesn't install to the directories the right way.
Is there a better way to batch install via recovery? Or something I'm missing in my script? Or is it not reliable to install apks via flashable zip?
This is how I do it.
In my zip I have:
Code:
/system
/app
/***.apk
/***.apk
/data
/app
/***.apk
/***.apk
/META-INF
/com
/google
/android
/update-binary

Can't install own flashable .zip, what am I doing wrong?

Hi! I followed (step by step) this Guide to make a flashable zip of some wallpapers for my phones: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1545165
But when I try to install it, CWM just says "installation aborted"...I was trying to make a .zip for some wallpapers but the folder name was too long (system/etc/customization/bla bla bla bla)and I tought to start by installing a small app (A QR code reader). This is my updater script:
ui_print(" QR droid ");
ui_print(" test zip ");
ui_print("cachanilla86");
mount("MTD", "system", "/system");
show_progress(0.100000, 40);
ui_print(" almost done ");
show_progress(0.100000, 40);
package_extract_dir("system", "/system/app");
unmount("/system/");
show_progress(1.000000, 10);
ui_print(" finished,now reboot ")
--BLANK LINE--
And in the main folder was "system/app" and inside of app the apk itself.
What's wrong here? I don't get it...its because i'm signing the zip with an older version of APK tool?
Thanks for reading.
just download sample.zip here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1721680
and drag&drop your files in the zip to: example /system/etc/customization/blah3x..
Try this bro.
mount("yaffs2", "MTD", "system", "/system");
ui_print("Installing");
package_extract_dir("system", "/system");
set_perm(0, 0, 0644, "/system/lib/libgsl.so"); just an example
unmount("/system");
You're signing the zip? What for? It doesn't need to be signed, just have the right update-binary.
Thanks fellas, I'll try again tonight

[PROJECT] Flash Boot.img, ELF or SIN throught CWM recovery

Hi guys !
I'm currently searching a way to flash a kernel for unlocked bootloaders throught ClockWordMod Recovery.
First question :
Is it possible to mount the boot partition with a command inside the "updater-script" of a flashable zip file ?
Second question :
If we can mount this partition, is it possible to format it to write the content of a SIN or a ELF file, or a boot.img ?
My X10 USB port is dead ( the USB connector is snatched from the USB PCB board )
I'm currently on Achotjan's SDE v3 kernel for Jelly Bean roms. This kernel has a CWM
When i'm speeking about flashing kernels on CWM, i'm expecting to something like this :
ui_print(" ");
ui_print(" ");
ui_print(" ");
ui_print(" ");
ui_print(" ");
ui_print(" ");
ui_print(" ");
show_progress(1, 15);
ui_print(" *Mounting the kernel partition");
run_program("/sbin/mount", "/boot");
ui_print("Writing the kernel");
write_raw_img("boot.img", "/boot");
ui_print("You wrote a new page inside the X10 history enjoy the flashed kernel ");
I know this script is not executable, and it's just an example
Hope somebody will help me for it
Cheers

[SCRIPT][Flashable]BloatWare Remover V1 03082014

Bloatware Removal Script
Hi all,
The Sony Xperia SP comes with a lot of Bloatware. Some can be removed but others can't and that is annoying.
So I've made a small script that removes all the Bloatware..
I did make one for the Samsung Galaxy S Plus (did not get much feedback so I give it a go here)
DisclaimerEasy one: Dont come cry to me when your phone blows up.. I am not held responsible when something goes wrong. Altho I am a person that needs and wants feedback to enhance my skillz.
FeaturesThis script does one simple thing. It removes .apk and .odex files from Bloatware. This means that the entire application will be removed. It clears not only some storage space on your device but also clears the ammount of active applications and thus saves a bit RAM (some bloatware will always run in the background )
The ScriptBelow I will add the entire script so that you all can see what will be removed! I will give some more explanation later on!
Code:
ui_print(" Xperia Bloatware Remover ");
ui_print("+++++++++++++++++++++++++++");
ui_print(" by ");
ui_print(" Mrjraider ");
ui_print(" ");
ui_print("+++++++++++++++++++++++++++");
ui_print(" For Sony Xperia SP ");
ui_print(" Let's go!!! ");
ui_print("+++++++++++++++++++++++++++");

ui_print(" ");
ui_print(" ");
ui_print("Enjoy a Bloatware free Phone. Leave a thanks on XDA!!");

How to use thisTo remove bloatware just follow the steps below:
Root the device and get a custom recovery
Download the .zip and put in on your phone
Make a NanDroid backup (just in case!)
Flash it
Reboot
Done
Adding and removing to the listIf you want you can add and remove lines from the script to give it your own twist. You can safe applications from deleting and you can add applications for deleting. This is very easy to do.
Just add the name of an application behind:
Code:
delete("/system/app/nameofapplication.apk);
If it has an .odex file do the same:
Code:
delete("/system/app/nameofapplication.odex);
Safe the file and flash it again!
Creditsencik_racun - initial script for Samsung Galaxy S Plus
Me for making a new Sony version
Furrydaus for confirming that my script works
Awesome! Finally one bloatware remover script... Thank u so much :good:
Sorry to tell this to you but Speedydroid takes care of bloatware and also includes an adblocker in an aroma installer so doing a script would be technically useless. Sorry if this has hurt your feelings in any sort of way.
The thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2393408
Anyways, the script works fine. Great job!

Dude, can i make a sugestion if possible?
Instead of deleting all the .apk if they were moved to a backup folder. So that we could install them in case of need.
If that is possible would be great, what do you think?
Edit:Not a good idea or impossible to do?
I've taken a look to the update-script commands and there is no "Move .apk to" command.
I've checked this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2377695
And there is no "Move" command. I can't even find a copy and paste command.. So sorry
But like I've said you can edit the script very easy yourself. So if you want to save some applications just remove the lines of the script

Hi all,
I have found a move to command (many thanks @[NUT] I was reading your DIY Guide about How To Create a Personal ROM )
I will try to implement this in the next version. With some luck it will be out next week

btw:
Code:
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "mv", "/data/media", "/data/temporary");
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "mkdir", "/data/media");
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "mv", "/data/temporary", "/data/media/0")
I need to edit these commands

Yes, but you need busybox for those commands. Make sure you state in the thread that busybox is a requirement.
Theres a spelling mistake here:-
'delete("/sytem/app/Protips.apk");'
Missing 's' from 'system' folder.
Should be:-
'delete("/system/app/Protips.apk");'

ROMs suitable for Redmi 3 Pro

Due to the fact that some users run into issues when flashing ROMs for Redmi 3 to a Redmi 3 Pro and loose the antenna functionality (in my case due to lost IMEI) I open this thread to collect ROMs suitable for Redmi 3 Pro.
From what you get delivered as stock via the OTA update to latest version as of now - 7.3.2.0 - works fine.
Other ROMs I didn't manage to get connected, even though I managed to let the IMEIs re-appear.

bro how do you root a redmi 3 pro anyway i tried to flash some roms but i cant because my phone is not rooted

Hey man, I think I have the same problem. I tried to flash CM12.1 by nehz onto my pro, but the antenna isn't working.
How did you fix yours/get your imei to work?

Until now I didn't find a way apart from flashing pre-rooted ROM.

I tried different ROMs but none worked, so finally I flashed "Rom_Stock_Xiaomi_Redmi3_V7.1.1.0_Full_Unbrick_ManhIT.zip" which brought me back the IMEIs but not the functionality as this is for US-bands using CDMA. So I finally flashed to the latest ROM I got via OTA prior to testing and this was "ido_xhdpi_images_V7.3.2.0.LHPCNDD_20160419.0000.19_5.1_cn_63f5a9da5a.tgz" which gave me back the functionality as usual.

Good to hear that! I've just ordered the pro version and I'm gathering all the info I can. Can you please tell all the procedures you took to flash this ROM. Have you unlocked your bootloader as well?
Lots of guides around.
My bootloader is still locked, so you can flash this rooted ROM directly when you recieve the phone.

So this Rom works whit the normal Redmi 3 ?
Don't know why there no link for the v6.5.26, since its on the title of the post.
Guys, any news about cm12 for Redmi 3 Pro? I have a Redmi 3 and installed cm12 it's very very fast, much more than Miui. So I only will update do Pro if I find a cm12 for it. Tks

Yes, it is based on the official xiaomi.eu rom. Don't know what exactly was customized.
Did you try the custom version ?
Yes, cm13 rom's have some annoying bugs.
Haven't seen a new build for quite some time now. Hopefully next builds will have some fixes, instead of new build with same bugs.

The OP mentions that it works for both. I am having a suspicion that this ROM is the same posted by [email protected]@[email protected]
Link for the vietnamese post: http://choimobile.vn/threads/locked...ong-can-unlock-booloader-co-tieng-viet.66360/

Could anyone confirm this? I doubt that Rom cook has their own version. Even the change log seems similar. The only difference that I see is that on Rom cook the dev says that it has SuperSU and you don't have to unblock the bootloader. It might be his/hers contribution to the existing xiaomi.eu.
Also, [email protected] says that
We will not update stables MIUI 7 anymore and will focus on MIUI 8 weekly/stables only...
This is last MIUI 7 version..!

It looks promising with features that I recognize from CM. The community seems much more focused and concentrating their efforts in one direction. Not bad!
I personally wouldn't mind rolling one of these versions until a robust CM13 shows up -- frankly, it might never arrive .
Well I tried 2 ROMs based on the Xiaomi.EU ROM and can say that these have led to troubles in my case.
The phone locked the bootloader during flashing so no normal booting was possible until I again unlocked the BL.
May be this only relates to my hardware version as there are 5 different around marked 2015811, 2015815, 2015816, 2015817 and 2015818.
Mine is 2015817.
As of the higher battery consumption on these ROMs I went back to my old ROM.
