On Droid-Life. (someone please post link) i found that someone on the xoom forum got Google Voice to work.
I was trying what they posted a few days ago, using titanium backup, and now I tried this. Both with no luck.
Try it out on your nooks, maybe someone will have an idea or get it to work. Currently mine freezes in the setup on the page about configuring your voicemail. it wont work, and I try to skip and it freezes. anybody else try yet?

I'm on Sam's eMMC version 2, based on deeper-blue's latest Honeycomb preview.

Works fine here too, but I suppose you could have stated Honeycomb specifically..
Aren't a lot of apps broken or screwy in HC?
I'm running stock rooted and GV works perfectly on my NC. If you leave me a message, it shows up on my NC without any problems.

Tried that and every other way i could find. nothing works. The farthest i got was the setup voicemail screen. it says your voicemail settings could not be loaded. please try again. if i click ok it just goes back to try again, and if i click skip, it locks up

could you please give me a step by step detailed instructions if you don't mind...
titanium and my backup pro back ups and restore didn't work for me as it would constantly try to restore data but not the app even though i backed up the app..
so...
what's this about the xml, and deletion of db and stuff... ? detailed instruction would be appreciated.
thanks.

I emailed myself the GV app from my rooted droid - maybe I can attach it here - yes... - OK the whole process -- move .gz from the titaniumbackup SDCard directory to my PC -- unzip to get the "raw" .apk file - e-mail that file - open the e-mail on my xoom and click "install"... Mine is a wifi-only xoom...

Is there anyway to get the Droid 3 launcher working on the atrix? I have the apk from the system dump but when I go to install it, the installation fails :\
I attached the apk.
Place it /system/app via root explorer. Then set the permissions to rw-r--r--.
Let us know how it goes!
it still doesn't install.
Already posted this in themes in apps search is your friend

You're not supposed to install. You place it in there, and reboot. If you're able to get into your new launcher, it worked. If you didn't, well that's it :/

you need to post the blurhome.odex file as well, then ppl can test if it works.
I was updated to the new market yesterday and today saw that Titanium had an update. Clicking on it opens screen that only allows for the app to be opened or uninstalled. I don't see any option to update.
How do we update with the new market?
Thanks,
SF

I had the same problem when my market auto upgraded. I think what happens is that the market account gets screwed up and it doesn't allow you to update some things. Its fixable - you have to reregister your phone with the market. The bad news is the only way I could figure to do this was to clean wipe and start over. I suppose you could factory reset to. I bet there's an easier route - but I haven't found it.

Just found an easier way : I moved vending app from /data/app to sd, pushed it back, changed permissions and rebooted and everything is fine. Thanks for taking time to answer

Sorry, I phrased that incorrectly. I know how to get in there & change the permissions. What I was wondering is how they need to be set. Is it RW-R--R--? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I just don't have to do this very often & want to make sure I do it correctly.

This worked for me! Thanks guys for the clarification on setting permissions.
I thought I had this issue fixed, but it has resurfaced. I have the market telling me there is now an update for Handcent SMS, however it doesn't give me the option to update! I can only open or uninstall.
I tried the fix starflorida posted multiple times, but it just isn't doing the trick. Does anyone have an idea what's going on? Any suggestions or feedback?
There is a new version of the market rolling out today. Try clearing data and restarting market and see if that helps?

I was hoping to avoid that, just so i don't have to re-enter all of my info. But, if I can't get it straightened out, I'll give that a go.
I now have 2 apps sitting there waiting for an update that I can't complete: Handcent & Unlock with Wifi. If I click the app individually, I only get the choices of opening or uninstalling. However, if I click the button that says "Update 2", it looks like it will work! I don't get it.
Edit: I am currently getting the "Low on Space" message from my phone (I prefer not to put my apps on the SD card, if possible). Could this be the reason why I can't update my apps?
Clearing the market data seems to have worked as a temporary fix. It is no longer showing that I need to update any of my apps. However, I did not receive the latest market version. It is still the same version I had prior to clearing data, version 3.0.27
It will, when you least expect it! You can download an apk from Android central if you don't want to wait...

I tried the ICS rom in development and during it I noticed my pics/videos were not showing up in the gallery. I figured this was a rom specific problem. However upon restore a backup, the same problem is present. I tried rebooting, and triggering media scanner but still nothing.
Any ideas?

Unfortunately it didn't work, thank you though. I'm not sure what the cause could be. I can open the media files, pictures and videos but can't see the preview before opening them. So it's annoying not knowing what is what until I open it.

Considering that we don't yet have an actual ICS ROM for this phone, you should expect some glitches.

Dude, you are Mount Asshole. I said nothing in my original reply or the one after that could be considered a personal attack to warrant what you have said to me. I simply said that when you are working with unofficial ROMs such as ICS that you should expect to run into some issues. Nothing more, nothing less. You decided to respond with all kinds of nastiness (and an obvious sense of entitlement) for no apparent reason. Perhaps you need a thicker skin if you plan on using the internet in the future. Jerk.
In before the lock. let the conversation continue.

Well first off have you tried the app Rescan Media?
I had this same problem ran this and it fixed the issue..
If this does not fix your issue then you have an errant picture in your media directory. To fix this..
Remove all pictures from your gallery and back them up to your computer
Copy a few back to your phone and have it rescan see if it shows you them in the gallery.. If so then you know it is a picture issue.. Start adding them back in groups and find the errant photo.
Let me know if this helps..
