Hi all,
Trying to help out a friend who rooted his Fascinate yesterday. He got it rooted, odin clockworkmod recovery and flashed CM7. Now his screen won't auto rotate from portrait to landscape, it will change manually from settings though. I got him to reflash the ROM to no avail. Is their a quick fix for this. I'm not familiar with this phone, but, also not a newb either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hello everyone I'm having an issue with the unlock screen after I updated to j16. I did use Odin to do it but I don't believe that would be a problem. Is there a screen calibration setting or reset touch screen setting to fix this? Any help would be great thanks

Ok after a Odin back to stock, I decided to load up the newest version of the Axura Rom, without any themes just .7 and upon booting I received 2 forced closed error messages. One was the gingerbread keyboard and the other was com.android which kept disabling wireless and enabling airplane mode repeatedly. I have no idea what to do to resolve this issue any help would be greatly appreciated
I think something its just a bad install. Reflash its might work

I wish that was the case but, I've reflashed this thing over and over again, 2.2.5.6 works perfectly fine though.
Hi guys, after flashing a dodgy zip my phone became stuck in boot loops. After researching on google I discovered I had to reflash new firmware, modem boot loader etc in download mode. I got back up and running and rooted again but ever since my display has been very dull looking and colours don't look as sharp as before. Does anybody know why this would be? Or did I flash incorrect or older firmware perhaps? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I bought and downloaded Swype. Ive been a Swype user for years and love it. Got it installed and set up. However, whenever the phone reboots it goes back to stock. And for the life of me I cant find the option to switch it to Swype and have to run the setup again.
Anyone else have this issue or offer any advice?
I'm having the same issue. It's very annoying having to set up Swype again after a reboot.

was having the issue..found this thread, no help. googled and found on androidcentral an answer that has worked for me even after reboot. when going to type something and the keyboard pops up, a keyboard icon will show in the notification bar. pull that down and select the keyboard input method and change it. should be golden after that!

Reboot the phone and it will go back to stock keyboard. It's a bug. Have it on the s3 and htc one and it does it on both.

I rebooted twice, and still have Swype doing what I originally wrote. Will report if that changes

I had this issue running rooted stock rom. I made Swype a system app with titanium backup and it worked as expected after. Recently upgraded to a 4.2.2 ROM and making it a system app doesn't appear to work anymore no matter how many times i clear cache and app cache so i set Tasker to set the input method at boot and no problems... Hope it helps.
Using Titanium Backup to freeze the system keyboards fixed the same problem on my S3.
If you're rooted just freeze the HTC IME in Titanium.
When I got the phone ~9 months ago and rotation worked. I flashed CM13 and rotation stopped working. I figured it was the rom. It was annoying having to manually rotate photos and had to find a 3rd party program to rotate video... but I lived with it. But now I need it to actually work.
Flashed the new PE1 stock rom Friday. Rotation worked. But I had a few issues that ended up having me start over again. Then it stopped working.
Now after multiple multiple reflashes, factory wipes, complete wipes of system and all, flashing over and over, looking up and finding a ton of 'fixes' that I have tried. I still can't get it to work.
As it sits right now, it is the 100% stock flash from sammoble. Stock bootloader and all. Not rooted. Nothing fancy going on at all. And it doesn't work.
*#0*# shows the gyroscope as constantly reading all zeros.
Suggestions?
Nothing?

Yeah, that doesn't help either. Thanks though.

Have you tried recalibrating the gyroscope ?
I've done everything I could find to try. Recalibration was on that list. As was slamming the phone around.
All three sensor axis read zero all the time.
